THERE IS NOTHING MORE IMPORTANT ...

In Chapter 1 we dealt with the reality of the "Gospel of the Kingdom;" specifically, we said:

"THERE IS NOTHING MORE IMPORTANT TODAY THAN THIS SPECIFIC GOSPEL, AND THAT IS SO BECAUSE OF THE PRESENCE ON THIS EARTH AT THIS TIME IN HISTORY OF AN ENTITY - THE AMERICAN NEW WORLD ORDER SYSTEM - THAT FALSELY CLAIMS TO REPRESENT CHRIST ON EARTH.

"Such claims can only be a 'turn-off' to the poor of the world who see the American New World Order System and the church that justifies it as frauds. The fact is, most of the poor in the world today see Christianity as a rich, white man's religion having NOTHING to do with them. Sadly, Islam is more a religion of the poor than is Christianity. What do the poor of the world want to do with a religion that justifies the very system - i.e., the American New World Order System - that oppresses and brutalizes them?" THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT TOTAL VARIANCE
WITH THE AMERICAN NEW WORLD ORDER SYSTEM

We continued by saying:

"The kingdom being proclaimed here will be a kingdom grounded in social justice for ALL mankind, a world of equity where men are not divided up between the 'owners of capital' on the one hand and 'labor' on the other hand, and where men and women are not divided up on the basis of their race or even their gender (Gal. 3:28); where the rich do not oppress the poor; where every man has equal access to God; where privileges cannot be bought by the wealthy; where there are no death squads, no poverty, no torture, no hunger, no disease, and no room for oppressors of any kind. [Please see our article, "Capitalism and Christianity;" please also see "The Marxist Paradigm."]

"Very obviously, such a kingdom would be TOTALLY at variance to the world we now live in and with the American New World Order System that now prevails on the earth - especially the kind of world we described in our article, "The Horror of John Dimitri Negroponte and Everything He Represents." [Please see that article plus our article, "Algeria: A Study of the Dreadful, Two-Tiered Economic System the U.S. Is Promoting Among Its Muslim Client-States."]

"A world based on social justice where the rich do not oppress the poor? A world where there are no John Dimitri Negropontes, no Liamine Zerouals and no Augusto Pinochets? This, of course, is something much more than the 'good news' of salvation, because while the 'good news' of salvation promises redemption to the INDIVIDUAL, it does not promise to 'make over' the world per se; and this is evidenced by the fact that from Pentecost until now there has been NO social justice and NO equity between and among men; tyranny and oppression have continued to flourish; and sickness, poverty and hunger have continued to wreak their horrible work on mankind.

"This is NOT to take anything away from the 'good news' of salvation; but very plainly social justice and social equity have yet to be established on the earth, which the coming Kingdom of Christ is calculated to accomplish."

THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN
IS COMING TO EARTH

We went on to say:

"The 'Gospel of the Kingdom' announces the 'good news' that the Kingdom of Christ is close 'at hand'. This, of course, is not the first time that the Kingdom has been announced to be close 'at hand'. It was announced the first time 2,000 years ago when the angels proclaimed it to the shepherds 'in the field' at the time of Christ's birth in Luke 2:7-8 and 10-11):

'And she (i.e., Mary) brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

'And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

'And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, WHICH SHALL BE TO ALL people.

'For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.' (Luke 2:7-8, 10-11)

"Shortly after - and in conjunction with what the angels declared to the shepherds - the Kingdom was announced to be 'at hand' by John the Baptist, then by Christ Himself, and finally by the Twelve.

"BUT THE KINGDOM WAS REJECTED BY THE JEWS in fulfillment of the Scripture that -

'... they (i.e., Israel) without us (i.e., the Gentiles) should not be made perfect'. (Heb. 11:40) [Please see Chapter VI of the New Antipas Papers, "The Distinction Between Israel and the Church."]

"Now, after an interval of some 2,000 years, the Kingdom is once again 'at hand'!  The so-called 'church age' is all but past, and the Jews - once dispersed over the whole earth because of the rejection of their king - have now been re-gathered again to their ancient land. Everything is ready! - and God is raising up a people to proclaim that the Kingdom is again 'AT HAND'." [Please see Part 4 of chapter VIII of the New Antipas Papers, "The Two Witnesses."]

THAT IS THE COMMISSION THAT HAS NOW BEEN VOUCHSAFED TO THE CHURCH, AND IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO PROCLAIM IT AS FAR AND WIDE AS POSSIBLE. WE HAVE BEEN COMMANDED TO PICK UP WHERE JOHN THE BAPTIST LEFT OFF.

THE ETERNAL GOSPEL

Now - and this is very important - concomitant with the proclamation of the "Gospel of the Kingdom" - and in conjunction with it - the "Eternal Gospel" will also be proclaimed. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY IMPORTANT MATTER BECAUSE IT HAS A GREAT IMPACT ON THE WAY THE "GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM" IS PREACHED IN THE UNITED STATES (BABYLON THE GREAT) AS OPPOSED TO HOW IT IS PREACHED OUTSIDE THE BORDERS OF THIS GREAT LATTER DAY HEGEMON.

Concerning the "Eternal Gospel, C.I. Scofield writes:

"The 'Eternal Gospel' (Rev. 14:6) is described as the announcement of divine judgment upon the wicked (specifically, Babylon the Great) ... It is good news for the suffering believers as it heralds their coming deliverance and reward (cf., v. 12). In view of this those who 'live on the earth' are exhorted to fear God and worship Him (v. 7)." [cf. Revelation 14:6-8.]

IT IS THIS SPECIFIC FACT - THE PROCLAMATION OF THE "ETERNAL GOSPEL" [cf. Revelation 14:6-8.] ALONGSIDE THE PROCLAMATION OF THE "GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM" THAT DIFFERENTIATES THE WAY IN WHICH THE "GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM" IS PROCLAIMED IN (1) THE UNITED STATES, AND (2) THE REST OF THE WORLD, AND MAKES THE WORDS OF REVELATION 18:4 COME ALIVE WITH MEANING:

"And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, COME OUT OF HER, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues." (Revelation 18:4)

BABYLON SHALL BE AS WHEN GOD
OVERTHREW SODOM AND GOMORRAH

Judgment is being pronounced on "Babylon the Great" - that is to say, the United States. That's what Revelation 18:4 is all about. And what a complete and final judgment it is; specifically, the Bible says:

"And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, SHALL BE AS WHEN GOD OVERTHREW SODOM AND GOMORRAH." (Isaiah 13:19)

As we indicated in Chapter I, Part 1, God's face has been turned irrevocably against the United States; He has determined in His mind to overthrow America, and do it to such an extent that -

"It shall never be inhabited [again], neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there.

"But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.

"And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged." (Isaiah 13:20-22)

As with Sodom and Gomorrah, there is only one thing for God's people in Babylon to do: GET OUT.

There is a parallel here between what God did with Sodom and Gomorrah and what He intends to do with the United States. That's PRECISELY what the Bible says: "And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, SHALL BE AS WHEN GOD OVERTHREW SODOM AND GOMORRAH." (Isaiah 13:19) The Scriptures couldn't be clearer here:

"And the men [i.e., the angels God sent to Lot] said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? sons in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, BRING THEM OUT OF THIS PLACE:

"FOR WE WILL DESTROY THIS PLACE, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it." (Genesis 19:12-13)

LOT IS TOLD TO "GET OUT"

Lot is COMMANDED by the angels of God to GET OUT, and to get his loved ones out as well - and that is precisely what we have been COMMANDED to do insofar as Babylon is concerned. Sadly, however, Lot's friends and loved ones did not want to go:

"And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law." (Genesis 19:14)

In other words, his relatives thought that it was all just a "big joke;" that Lot was being altogether too hysterical about everything. Still, Lot continued to reason with them - all the way until the morning. And he would have done more, but the angels -

"... hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city." (Genesis 19:15)

Even then, Lot postponed his going, and continued arguing with his friends and relatives; so the angels took matters into their own hands, and -

" ... while he lingered [trying desperately to persuade his friends and relatives to come], the men [i.e., angels] laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city." (Genesis 19:16)

And the angels said to Lot:

"ESCAPE FOR THY LIFE; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed." (Genesis 19:17)

THE PARALLEL BETWEEN
REVELATION 18:4 & GENESIS 19:15

Now it's very important for us to pause here, and look carefully at what is being said: Lot is being told to "ESCAPE FOR THY LIFE" (Genesis 19:17); but you should carefully note why the angels are telling Lot to get out: "... lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city." (Genesis 19:15)

THE PARALLEL HERE BETWEEN REVELATION 18:4 AND GENESIS 19:15 IS STAGGERING. In Revelation 18:4 we are told to flee Babylon so that "WE DO NOT BECOME PARTAKERS IN BABYLON'S SINS." In Genesis 19:15, Lot is told to flee Sodom so that he and his family are not "CONSUMED BY SODOM'S INIQUITY." In other words, in both cases, God's people are told to flee so that they are not "contaminated" by the sin of these great cities. IT'S NOT SO MUCH THE DEATH OF HIS SAINTS THAT CONCERNS GOD HERE, AS IT IS THE DANGER THAT THEY WILL BE "TAINTED" BY THE INIQUITY OF THE PLACES IN WHICH THEY HAVE BEEN DWELLING.

It's too late to save the cities themselves. GOD HAS GIVEN THEM UP. That is a TERRIBLE thing. But that is exactly what the Bible says:

"And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man ..." (Genesis 6:3)

There is an end to God's patience! - AND THAT IS CERTAINLY TRUE INSOFAR AS THOSE WHO ARE "CALLED BY GOD'S NAME" AND DWELL WITHIN THE BORDERS OF THE UNITED STATES, that is to say, "Babylon the Great."

REVELATION 18:4 CAN BE BROKEN
DOWN INTO THREE SECTIONS

And believe me, dear brothers and sisters, there can be no doubt as to how serious God views the situation of "His people" in America; again, a situation that He sees as comparable to the one the inhabitants of Sodom faced. All this becomes very visible when Revelation 18:4 is broken down into its component parts:

• FIRST, the commandment itself: "COME OUT OF HER MY PEOPLE."

• SECOND, the REASON why we must "Come out."

• THIRD, the JUDGMENT that will accrue to us if we fail to obey the heavenly command.

SECTION 1 OF REVELATION. 18:4

THE FIRST THING TO CONSIDER in Section 1 is that Revelation 18:4 is very plainly directed at God's people - NOT necessarily to unbelievers, but very specifically to God's people; those Christians who are living in Babylon. After all, what other explanation can there be to these words: "Come out of her MY PEOPLE?"

THE SECOND THING TO OBSERVE in Section 1 is that Revelation 18:4 is a commandment; it's NOT a suggestion; it's NOT a "clever" proposal that someone can take or reject at his convenience; it's NOT simply "good" advice; it's NOT a recommendation. It is a COMMANDMENT; it is a holy DICTATE; it is a divine DECREE, and it must be treated as such. It MUST be obeyed! There is NO reason why anyone should misunderstand this fact.

There Is No Excuse For Disobedience

Excuses will not be considered; there is NO hint here - NONE AT ALL - that should give anyone any justification for believing that the Lord will consider favorably any reason for disobedience. The Lord does not say, "Those of you who are able, Come Out;" or "Those of you who don't have the money to do so, you are excused," or "Those of you who don't have your sh-t together, you are pardoned;" or "Those of you who are too deeply in debt, you are permitted to remain behind;" or "Those of you whose spouses and loved ones refuse to follow you, you will be forgiven for not obeying;" or "Those of you who are sick, or who have relatives who are sick, or those of you who have been unable to secure a job where you are going - you too are excused;" ad nauseum, ad infinitum. The COMMANDMENT is simple - "Come out" and that's the end of it!

This Is The King Speaking

I say again, where is there any room for argument, discussion, or debate here? Where is there any space to believe that God will excuse your DISOBEDIENCE? There is none! The COMMANDMENT to YOU is "COME OUT." Obedience is what's demanded, and nothing else - and one must grasp just how seriously God considers disobedience; He compares it to the sin of WITCHCRAFT: He declares that He will "REJECT" all those who participate in it. This is very grim stuff! This is the KING speaking, not "good ol' Uncle Eddie" down the street hollering at you to get off his lawn. The Bible says:

"Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken [to the word of God] is better than the fat of rams [the meat that is consumed in a sacrifice].

"For rebellion [i.e., disobedience] is as the sin of WITCHCRAFT, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, HE HATH ALSO REJECTED THEE ..." (1 Sam. 15:22-23)

Again, think carefully about what is being said here! - if you reject the Word of God, GOD WILL REJECT YOU!  And what is the Word of God telling you to do in this particular instance: "TO COME OUT."

Is Christ Really King Over Your Life?

The King MUST be obeyed; if He is YOUR King, you MUST obey Him. The simple question in all of this is: Is Christ king over your life? If He is, you will OBEY Him; if not, you won't. The proof of your discipleship insofar as the King is concerned is your OBEDIENCE to Him. Jesus said,

"... A certain man made a great supper, and bade many:

"And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready.

"AND THEY ALL WITH ONE CONSENT BEGAN TO MAKE EXCUSE. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee HAVE ME EXCUSED.

"And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee HAVE ME EXCUSED.

"And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I CANNOT COME. [In addition, Matt. 8:21 lists another excuse: "Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father."]

"So that servant came, and showed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being ANGRY said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.

"For I say unto you, That NONE OF THOSE MEN WHICH WERE BIDDEN SHALL TASTE OF MY SUPPER.

"And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,

"IF ANY MAN COME TO ME, AND HATE NOT HIS FATHER, AND MOTHER, AND WIFE, AND CHILDREN, AND BRETHREN, AND SISTERS, YEA, AND HIS OWN LIFE ALSO, HE CANNOT BE MY DISCIPLE.

"And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, CANNOT be my disciple." (Luke 14:16-21, 24-27)

Now That's Harsh; That's Brutal

Now that's HARSH! In fact, it's BRUTAL! Where is there here any circumstance that you can use as a legitimate excuse for not obeying Him? If none of the excuses given in Luke 14:16-21, 24-27 (and Matt. 8:21) were considered "good" excuses by the Lord, what chance do you have? - and they were "good" excuses.

Think about it: The one "brother" said that he simply needed a little time to bury his father (what's wrong with that; I certainly would have given him the time). Two others said that they had some business matters to which they had to attend (and no doubt, after they were finished, they would be able to contribute that much more to the expense of the feast; that sounds like a good deal; I would have excused them); the fourth said he had to take care of his beloved wife (well, one can certainly understand that; doesn't the Bible encourage us to love and take care of our spouses? - I think that's reasonable). These are all good justifications for not going - at least as far as I'm concerned; and I'm sure that all these dear "brothers" would have attended the feast after they were finished with those things that were "holding them back."

But the Lord would have NONE of it. He brushed all of the excuses aside, and said instead, "NONE of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper" (Luke 14:24), and He went on to say something so shocking that one is left reeling at its severity:

"If any man come to me and HATE not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he CANNOT be my disciple." (Luke 14:26)

But I suppose that you believe you will be given a "pass" insofar as this portion of Scripture (i.e., Rev. 18:4) is concerned?

THE THIRD THING TO CONSIDER in Section 1 is, What is it exactly that we are to come out of? Most Christians have understood that to mean to "come out" of the "Apostate Church," as if there is no PHYSICALITY attached to Babylon. But that, of course, is absurd. Babylon the Great is depicted in Scripture as a two part entity: (1) a woman riding (2) a beast. F.C. Jennings writes:

"Turning then to the seventeenth chapter of the Book of Revelation, we see the whole stage filled with two personalities only: a 'Beast' and a 'Woman' ... There can be no argument or discussion as to this speaking of both the CIVIL [political, economic, and military] and ECCLESIASTICAL [religious] conditions [of the empire] ... the 'Beast' [which answers to the Civil Power] and the 'Woman' [which answers to the Religious Power] are thus INDISSOLUBLY co-related ..."

The "beast" and the "woman" INDISSOLUBLY co-related? - Is that what Jennings is saying here? Yes! - that's precisely what Jennings is saying! But if, indeed, physical and spiritual Babylon are so intertwined, doesn't there have to be a physical dimension to the command "COME OUT OF HER?" Plainly so! - and if that's true, doesn't that suggest that to escape the one (i.e., the "Apostate Church") NECESSITATES escaping the other (i.e., the United States). Hence, the words of Scripture "Come out of her" must also mean - in addition to leaving the "Apostate Church" - emigrating out of the United States.

Of course, it's so much easier for people to think that the only thing they have to do to "come out of her" is to "come out" of the "Apostate Church." To suggest that to escape the one necessitates escaping the other makes everything so much more difficult. But come on now, what other conclusion is possible? The plain meaning of Scripture here is that insofar as Babylon the Great is concerned, it's impossible to separate one's self from "Spiritual Babylon" (i.e., the "Woman" - specifically, the church of Charles Stanley, Bennie Hinn, D. James Kennedy, C. Peter Wagner, Tim LaHaye, etc.) without at the same time separating one's self from "Physical Babylon" (the American New World Order System). SECTION 2 OF REVELATION. 18:4

And now we come to the 2nd section of Rev. 18:4, the REASON why we must "Come out of her." The reason is:

"... THAT YE BE NOT PARTAKERS OF HER SINS ..."

Now while we've already covered this matter to some small degree, it is extremely important that you grasp what's being said here: The reason that the Lord gives is NOT because we face martyrdom if we fail to "Come out of her," as most people naively suppose. The truth of the matter is, up through the years, God's people have routinely been -

"... STONED [to death], ... SAWN ASUNDER, ... tempted, ... SLAIN WITH THE SWORD: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented ..." (Heb. 11:37)

The Fact Of Martyrdom Is Not In View Here

The fact of martyrdom, persecution, and heinous tribulation is a reality that Christians throughout the centuries have had to face. Indeed, Paul, writing about the tribulations he routinely faced in his journeys, encouraged the saints by -

"... exhorting them to continue in the faith, and THAT WE MUST THROUGH MUCH TRIBULATION enter into the kingdom of God." (Acts 14:22)

And to this end, the Bible "encourages" (Yes! - that's the word, "encourages") us by saying,

"... fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul ..." (Matt. 10:28)

Obviously then, the Lord is not that much concerned that we should lose our lives if we stay in Babylon. No! - in COMMANDING us to come out of Babylon, God is not doing so because he wants to spare us the anguish of persecution, tribulation and even martyrdom. The reason is:

"THAT YE BE NOT PARTAKERS OF HER SINS."

Be Not Partakers Of Her Sins

What God is concerned about here is that if we stay in Babylon we will be TAINTED by Babylon's sin and spiritually CORRUPTED. That's the reason that we are told to -

"COME OUT OF HER ..."

And this is EXACTLY the reason God gave to Lot when He commanded Lot to get out of Sodom in Genesis 19:15:

"Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; LEST THOU BE CONSUMED IN THE INIQUITY OF THE CITY." (Genesis 19:15)

You don't see what we're talking about here? You really don't see it? Well, all I can say then, is if you don't, it's because you have PURPOSEFULLY chosen NOT to see it. It's not that hard to see - OR do you think that it's really possible to stay connected to "Physical Babylon" (i.e., the United States) without being affected spiritually by your union with it.

If that's the case, you have UTTERLY failed to appreciate what "Babylon the Great" is all about, and the power it possesses to CORRUPT people - even the BEST of people, even YOU.

The fact of the matter is, just as the life (so to speak) of the Nazi state became so intertwined and twisted together with the lives of Germany's individual citizens that it became impossible to function any longer as a human being in Germany without at the same time being involved intimately with the crimes of that nation - SO NOW IT IS FAST BECOMING IMPOSSIBLE TO FUNCTION ANY LONGER AS AN INDIVIDUAL IN THE UNITED STATES WITHOUT BECOMING INVOLVED IN THE GREAT WICKEDNESS THIS COUNTRY IS VISITING ON THE REST OF THE WORLD.

You Will Not Be Held Guiltless

Indeed, it's in this regard that I must somberly warn you that if one becomes entangled, no matter how peripherally, with this great "latter-day" nation and the crimes it is committing against the peoples and nations of the world, AND, MOST IMPORTANTLY, IN LINKING CHRIST'S PRECIOUS NAME TO THESE CRIMES, THERE WILL BE "HELL TO PAY." God will not hold such a person guiltless. [Please see our article, "The American System of Client States."]

The fact is, the one "saving grace" of the old Soviet Union, China, etc. is that they never claimed - as the adherents of the American New World Order System are doing - that the conquests they were engaged in, they were engaged in for the sake of "Christ and the church;" and that's precisely why the judgment of "Babylon the Great" - when it finally comes - will be so severe, so TOTAL, and so COMPLETE; and so much so that it will be said of her (i.e., Babylon):

"Her cities are a desolation, a dry land, and a wilderness, a land WHEREIN NO MAN DWELLETH, neither doeth any son of man pass thereby." (Jer. 51:43).

And,

"... they shall not take of thee a stone for a corner, nor a stone for foundations, but thou shalt be DESOLATE FOREVER, saith the Lord" (Jer. 51:26).

It's in the light of this harsh severity that I once again implore you, don't make the asinine and sophomoric mistake that some do who say that eventually all the world will become part of the American New World Order System; and, therefore, to leave the United States will - in the long run - accomplish little or nothing for you. THAT IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE! THAT'S A CONVENIENT BUT VERY WICKED CONTRIVANCE AND SUBTERFUGE.

As I have said so many times before, it's true, all the world will eventually be absorbed by the American New World Order System, just as all of Europe was eventually conquered and absorbed by Nazi Germany; but there was still a great difference to be remarked upon insofar as Germany's conquered territories were concerned (e.g., France, Denmark, Poland, the Ukraine, Norway, Holland, Belgium, etc.) and Germany herself; and there was a GREAT DISTINCTION to be remarked upon insofar as the conduct of these different populations were concerned vis a vis the people of Germany.

Germany's population actually PARTICIPATED in Germany's crimes; the population of Germany's "slave states" SUFFERED as a result of these crimes. There is a big difference here; it is, to put it in the vernacular (and as I have said so often before), the difference between the "screwer" and the "screwee;" the difference between the one who is being raped, and the one who is doing the raping; the difference between the perpetrator and the victim; the difference between MASTER and SLAVE - SO ALSO INSOFAR AS AMERICA IS CONCERNED vis a vis HER CLIENT-STATES, i.e., HER SLAVE STATES.

SECTION 3 OF REVELATION. 18:4

And that brings us at last to the 3rd section of Revelation 18:4 - the JUDGMENT that will accrue to us if we fail to obey the heavenly command and, as a result, we become "partakers in her sins:" We will be JUDGED with Babylon and the people of Babylon:

"... come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, AND THAT YE RECEIVE NOT OF HER PLAGUES [judgments]." (Rev. 18:4)

Hebrews 10:30 tells us that God will -

"... judge his people."

Furthermore it goes on to warn us -

"... how much SORER PUNISHMENT, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, WHEREWITH HE WAS SANCTIFIED, an unholy thing ..."

NOTE: It's very difficult to avoid the conclusion that the Bible is referencing Christians here - or how else does one understand the fact that those being discussed here were once "sanctified" by the blood of Christ?

Wow! That's all I can say: WOW! That's no small thing. So, before you discard the COMMANDMENT of Revelation 18:4 to "COME OUT OF HER," you should think long and hard about this; after all, this life isn't forever. The Bible says:

"Thou carriest them [i.e., our lives] away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up.

"In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth." (Ps. 90:5-6)

PREACHING THE "GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM"
WITHIN THE PRECINCTS OF BABYLON THE GREAT

THE FACT OF AMERICA'S PRE-ORDAINED DESTRUCTION CANNOT HELP BUT HAVE A VERY PROFOUND IMPACT ON THE WAY THE "GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM" IS PREACHED IN THE UNITED STATES AS OPPOSED TO HOW IT IS PREACHED IN THE WORLD OUTSIDE AMERICA'S BORDERS. THIS MEANS THAT THOSE WHO PREACH THE "GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM" IN THE UNITED STATES MUST DO SO NOT ONLY BY THEIR WORDS, BUT WITH THEIR FEET AS WELL IN ACCORDANCE WITH GOD'S COMMAND IN REVELATION 18:4:

"And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, COME OUT OF HER, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues." (Revelation 18:4)

To put it very indelicately, CHRISTIANS ARE TO ACT AS A TESTIMONY AGAINST BABYLON IN MUCH THE SAME FASHION AS RATS DO WHEN DESERTING A SINKING SHIP: Their "desertion" of the ship testifies to the seriousness of the situation on board:

"EVEN THE RATS ARE LEAVING! - IT'S TIME TO GET OFF."

THIS WILL OFFEND MANY PEOPLE

No doubt, this will offend many Christians - comparing them to rats deserting a sinking ship; indeed, one dear sister was so offended that she wrote:

"It looks to me like you all have chosen this present world over Christ by ... [planning on] going [abroad] and hiding yourselves and trying to get as many people as possible to go with you. You have no trust in the Lord Jesus Christ at all, because if you did, you would stay right here and preach the gospel and not be worried about what's coming ... Fear of the things of the flesh is what has caused you and your ministry to ... [plan on fleeing the United States]."

Still, if one thinks that there is any other way that the "Gospel of the Kingdom" can be preached in the United States other than by using one's feet, he is grossly underestimating how enmeshed and entangled God's people are in the "good-life" here. Words alone will no longer have any affect on them. We repeat what we have said so often before: The very real fact of the matter is, unbelievers (especially, "lefties" like Ted Rall and Chalmers Johnson) are probably far more amenable to God's command to "get out" of the country than are Christians. ESTABLISHING ALIYA GROUPS

And so we come back to the matter of ALIYA. We are in the process of beginning a countrywide effort of establishing ALIYA groups where Christians can be made ready for emigration out of the United States. The purpose of these ALIYA groups - like the old Jewish "Lovers of Zion" groups at the turn of the last century (1899-1900) - will be to provide a place where Christians can go to receive support - both spiritually and materially - for emigration.

No doubt, the need for such "support groups" (that's what these groups really are) will be great, because the task (really, the ORDEAL) before them is so great. The ALIYA groups will be places where Christians in the United States can come and discuss the problems they face. Some have a husband or wife who is unwilling to go. What to do? Some don't have the money to go. What to do? Some are grieved by those they will have to leave behind; others will have to give up good jobs; some are sick; some will have to drop out of school; some will have to sacrifice careers. Many will need answers to questions, others will need encouragement and prayer; others simply need fellowship; and still others are very, very frightened. Whatever the need, it will be met by the local ALIYA group.

THE PURPOSE OF OUR LAST TRIP

The purpose of our last trip - the one that so many of you gave money to in order to sustain us after Lucy and I fell ill at the Hopi Indian Reservation near the Arizona / New Mexico border - was to establish ALIYA groups.

We are in the process of establishing several ALIYA groups throughout the nation.

WHAT THE ALIYA GROUPS ARE NOT

Now in all of this - and this is very important - it will NOT be the purpose of our ALIYA groups to establish permanent house-churches in this country; nor will it be our purpose to see how big they can become, how "saintly" we can make our gatherings, how "spiritual" we can make the worship services, etc. - though all of these things can happen when people consecrated to as difficult a task as we have set for ourselves come together; but the success of our ALIYA groups will be measured, as we previously indicated, by how many people we can get out of the country before the door is finally slammed shut on emigration, just as the door was finally banged shut on emigration for Jews leaving Germany in the mid-1930s.

The testimony we hope that these groups will establish for themselves will be the testimony that Noah had who prepared an ark in plain sight of all the people. Noah's testimony did not lie so much in the fact of his much talking, but in his much building. He was preparing to go; in his own way, he was preparing for ALIYA; AND IN THAT VERY PREPARATION, HE WAS A TESTIMONY TO THE PEOPLE ALL AROUND; and so will be accomplished in our ALIYA groups the testimony of Noah when they come together to meet and worship the Lord - fulfilling the Scripture which says:

"As the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." (Matt. 24:37)

Again, the SINGLE and SOLE purpose of our ALIYA groups will be to prepare saints for EMIGRATION out of the country in accordance with God's command in Rev. 18:4:

"... COME OUT OF HER, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. (Rev. 18:4)

Once again I say, the success of each group will not be measured by how large it becomes and/or how good its meetings are, but how many people the group is able to launch out into the world on ALIYA.

SPECIAL NOTE: Now let me tell you something here! - it does you no good to get angry with me insofar as all this is concerned. If you find all this inconvenient and annoying, don't blame me - as so many of you are obviously doing - BLAME GOD. If you find that obeying God's holy commandment is simply inopportune for you at this time, your argument is NOT with me, it is with God. It does you NO good to get irritated at me; but that's exactly what many of you are doing, as if I am the author of these words and not God. For example, one person writes,

"My problem is the SHRILL, STRIDENT demands of Mr. Shearer that the U.S. is Babylon, the source of evil, so it is the will of God for all of God's people to 'come out of her', flee from it, save ourselves ... I suspect that your more spiritually mature subscribers have signed off your list who got lectured rather than respected for their spiritual input."

By "spiritual input," I suppose he means their arguments as to why they are unable to obey God; and by "more spiritually mature," I suppose he means those who are able to see the "nuances" and "subtleties" (the differing shades of meaning) that "very plainly revolve around this verse" (i.e., Revelation 18:4) - or so he suggests. But what nuances is he talking about? What subtleties? There are none - except the excuses that can be found in the fevered imaginations of those who are desperately looking for a way out of "leaving Babylon" (such as Hymenaeus and Alexander), or at least delaying their departure. Another writes,

"... while I love him [Shearer] as a brother, his ABRASIVE writing style isn't helping me on a personal level. Steve sees himself as Jeremiah (figuratively). It's just his nature to come across a bit rough around the edges. I've accepted that - what choice do I have? If I don't turn my other cheek to him, what sort of Christian would I be."

What sort of Christian, indeed? Yes! - that's what I love to do, make people hate me! That's just my nature! Still another reader says simply to one of my co-workers,

"You are allowing Mr. Shearer to blind your eyes. You are no different than any other cult follower ..."

I guess that makes those who obey Christ regarding Rev 18:4 "cult followers;" they're "in the flesh," and not in the spirit. This makes me a "cult leader" - i.e., a religious "wacko," a "kook," a "dingbat," a "weirdo." Finally, this brother says,

"Your rantings have more the character of a Judas Iscariot ... than a purveyor of the Gospel."

Judas Iscariot? - oh well, all I can do is take heart from Christ when He said,

"It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?" (Matt. 10:25)

And, believe me, these are just a tiny few of the "slings and arrows" that have been hurled in my direction. There are many, many more - some much worse. I've been called a "Jim Jones" (I was given that "tag" by one of the dearest friends I have ever had), a "David Koresh," a "Rev. Moon" and countless other slurs and epithets. But, again, all I can say is that you are directing your anger at the wrong person! These are NOT my words, they are God's. It is NOT on account of any delinquency on my part that God did NOT offer you a way out, nor provide you with an excuse for staying. I would gladly have done so for all of the trouble it has caused me - the hatred of so many, the lost friendships, the stinging affronts and infamies. What advantage is all this to me?

Then, of course, there are those who say that we are being simple-minded about the meaning of Rev. 18:4. For example, another of my erstwhile colleagues upbraids me for being CARNALLY-minded with regard to these verses, not SPIRITUALLY-minded - like him, I suppose. This brother [Alexander] writes:

"The only separation that counts from the world is spiritual - not physical ... We are 'in' the world, but not 'of' the world."

The irony here - as with so many who oppose us for being "of the flesh" in taking Rev. 18:4 too literally - is that their objections are nothing more than facades behind which they are attempting to hide their failure to act - to "come out of her;" in this case a facade behind which my accuser here can chase "filthy lucre" using other peoples' money to invest in Ponzi schemes (investment pyramids) and multilevel marketing (MLM) stratagems (which are nothing more than Ponzi schemes with a worthless product attached to it in order to get around the Supreme Court injunction against them); linking people up to Imelda Marcos's ill-gotten (and now lost) fortune, "magic gold accounts," etc. Of course, most of these brothers say they are chasing money for the Lord's sake; but in the end, it's the money that catches them rather than the other way around. Another brother writes:

"All I can say is WOW! I have never read such factually incorrect material. Sadly you don't even back up your claims with facts. Just quotes from other liars. Pretty typical actually. Thankfully, most are able to think for themselves and people like you never make a difference. Scare tactics only work on the uneducated. Although those people are probably exactly what you are after. Too lazy to think for themselves ... You haven't a clue."

"Scare tactics of the uneducated?" Eee gads! Another writes sarcastically,

"You deal in fear ... Of course God is unable to protect His people in America. Poor, puny, weak God. Thwarted by the GOP and the NWO [New World Order]. Defeated, even. Ordered a retreat, did He?"

Again, these are just a tiny example of all those who have written to condemn me for being CARNALLY-minded, and not spiritually-minded; of not being able to discern the simple truth that "we are 'in' the world, but not 'of' the world;" that Babylon is a "spiritual matter," and not a physical matter - a matter of the heart, and not of the flesh. How "carnal" of us! How "worldly!" How "temporal!" How "UNSPIRITUAL" - at least that's certainly what most Christians would like to believe, i.e., that there is no PHYSICALITY attached to Babylon. After all, it's so much easier for people to think that the only thing they have to do to "come out of her" is to "come out" of the "Apostate Church." To suggest that to escape "Religious Babylon" necessitates escaping "Physical Babylon" (i.e., America) makes everything so much more difficult.

But the truth of the matter is, there is a physical reality attached to Babylon as well as a religious reality - and the physical reality of Babylon is as profound and intense as its religious reality, and just as deadly.

PREACHING THE "GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM"
OUTSIDE THE BORDERS OF BABYLON THE GREAT

Now we come to the matter of the church's testimony OUTSIDE the borders of the United States: and that testimony is defined by the appellation the Bible has given to the "Whore of Revelation 17:' "MOTHER OF HARLOTS." This woman - this WHORE who rides the Beast - has given birth to many daughters throughout the world; they have spread themselves over the entire planet. Specifically, the Bible says:

"The waters which thou sawest [i.e., Rev. 17:1: "Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon MANY WATERS"], where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues." (Rev. 17:15)

Clearly, the Whore has gained influence over the mass of the nations - and the leaders and elites of the earth are portrayed as living in guilty intimacy with her, and so much so that Dwight Pentecost can write:

"... [in the end of days] we see the whole stage [i.e., the world] filled with two personalities only: a 'Beast' and a 'Woman' ..."

By now (I mean at this present time) the picture as presented in the Scripture - specifically, Rev. 17:1 (above) - is almost complete, and the American Church and the American New World Order System have been the principle agents in completing this portrait. Moreover, it isn't as if the "outside" world has not been noticing what's been happening. The poor and dispossessed of the earth certainly have; the Left surely has; the only people who are unaware of what's been going on are American Christians, proving once again for the umpteenth time, that -

"... the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light." (Luke 16:8)

And believe me when I tell you that there are many such "daughters of the Whore" spread out over the world in the "SLAVE-NATIONS" of the American New World Order System - churches that ride the Beast just as surely as their Mother does - and we speak here not so much of the indigenous churches of these countries, but those churches that have by now been CO-OPTED by the American Church in order to secure a financial or commercial advantage for their members in the American New World Order System. Indeed, over the years nothing has proven so advantageous for gaining admittance to the commercial benefits of the American New World Order System in the SLAVE-NATIONS of that system than membership in one of these churches - whether a Protestant evangelical church or a right-wing Catholic church. These churches are nothing more than "advance teams" for the American Empire. For example, those who participated with the CIA in the unsuccessful effort to topple the semi-socialist government of Hugo Chavez in Venezuela recently were almost all members of churches - whether Protestant or right-wing Catholic - that were tied to the American New World Order System, while the poor and dispossessed who supported Chavez were members of churches that were opposed to the American System. Christians who adhere to Liberation Theology or to an evangelical church that refuses to be co-opted by the American system are cut off from any of these benefits.

Many Christians in the United States, of course, refuse to recognize the Christianity of Hugo Chavez and his followers - people such as Pat Robertson, for example. But that is nonsense. Indeed, Chavez - who was challenged on his claim as a Christian by Ted Koppel on ABC's Nightline - gave a testimony for Christ more genuine than anything I have ever heard given by people such as Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, Charles Stanley or any others of that ilk. USING AMERICAN MISSIONARIES AND AMERICAN
CHURCHES AS "FRONTS" FOR THE AMERICAN EMPIRE

The fact is, for many years now the leaders of the Left throughout the world have been complaining that missionaries from the United States have been acting as "front men" not so much for Christ as for U.S. world hegemony. With generous financial help from their affiliates in the United States, their churches have been flourishing amidst the wreckage of radical movements that have been crushed by the American military or its surrogates. [Please see our articles, "America's New Vietnam & Your Sons and Daughters Will Be The Ones To Fight It - All In The Name of The Lord Jesus Christ," "The Spread of America's New World Order System Northward from Latin America to the United States," "The American Empire: The Corporate / Pentagon / CIA / Missionary Archipelago," and "The American Empire and the U.S. System of Client States."]

By the beginning of the 1980s, the suspicion that the U.S. government was using the American Church to further its own economic and political interests was no longer rooted in conjecture, but in fact as the Reagan administration re-militarized U.S. foreign policy after the debacle of the Vietnam War.

Soon right-wing political and religious activists were joining together where - according to author David Stoll - they began combining politics and religion with the view of "winning the world to Christ" by enlarging North American world hegemony.  Increasingly, North American missions such as New Tribes, the Wycliffe Bible Translators, Youth with a Mission (YWAM), Demos Shakarian's Christian Businessmen's Association, Campus Crusade for Christ, etc. began allowing their missions to be harnessed to the needs of the Political Right, and they began emphasizing the necessity for the American Church, in conjunction with the U.S. military, to "TAKE DOMINION" over the earth.

OUR DESTINY IS TO RULE THE NATIONS

This message was echoed from the pulpits of America's "big-time" televangelists such as Jimmy Swaggart of the Assemblies of God (now "defrocked" as a result of his sexual improprieties), Jerry Falwell, D. James Kennedy, Charles Stanley, Pat Robertson, etc. These men began preaching a new kind of "end-times scenario" to their vast television audiences: that Christians had to "set things right" in the United States; that their destiny was not the end of the world, but DOMINION over it. "I trust you know," Dennis Peacock said at Glen Cole's Capital Christian Center in Sacramento, California, "that OUR DESTINY IS TO RULE THE NATIONS." 

What Peacock and countless other similarly-minded Christians had in mind was to wrest control of the country from their hated enemy, the "secular-humanists," who they maintained had taken control of it, and then use the United States as a spring board to "CONQUER THE WORLD FOR CHRIST." Peacock writes:

"The Lord's prayer ... says bring your kingdom to earth now. We've been waiting for the kingdom to come and save us like a spaceship, but it's not going to ... We want God to solve our problems, like a welfarist God mentality, [as if] God is the great Washington, D.C., in the sky. We make welfare prayers instead of empowerment prayers to Him. But THE BIBLE SAYS THAT WE'RE TO BE CO-RULERS WITH HIM "

Stoll elaborates on the thinking of these men:

"Based on biblical language about taking dominion over the earth, the religious right began to talk about 'taking dominion' over American society and 'reconstructing' it on biblical principles. Emblematic of their CONQUEST OUTLOOK, some took the next logical step: that the Bible promised Christians political dominion over all the nations.  'The command of our General [i.e., Christ] is to bring the nations of the world under His dominion', one believer wrote. 'We have been ordered to disciple them and [we have been] promised that our Lord will be with us until the CONQUEST is complete. The leaders and people of the nations that plot to throw off the rule of God are conspiring in vain. Individuals and nations must be told: the Kingdom of God has come and of its increase there will be no end'."

PREACHING THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST
THROUGH THE BARREL OF A GUN

And make no mistake about it, those who were involved in this kind of thinking saw nothing wrong with proclaiming the Gospel through the barrel of a gun. For example, R.J. Rushdoony, the father of what we today call "Reconstructionism," wrote:

"In winning a nation to the Gospel, the sword as well as the pen must be used."

Clearly, then, people like Peacock, Rushdoony, Robertson, Falwell, etc. were more than willing to tie the success of the Gospel to American military might. Stoll continues:

"If Christ would not return until his followers completed the Great Commission ... it could hardly be accidental that such a high percentage of the world's Christians lived in the United States. Didn't 70 percent of the world's trained Christians and 80 percent of its Christian resources come from the United States? Didn't 90 percent of the money spent on world evangelism come from the United States? Surely then, America had a special role in God's plan. Even though it was not the only country with the duty of completing the Great Commission, unto whom much had been given, much would be required. If America had been more richly blessed than all other nations combined, then it was America's duty to bear an outsize share of the task

"Yet active efforts were being made to stop evangelism. Wasn't door after door being slammed shut? Because the United States was the headquarters of world missions, numerous evangelicals believed, it must be a special target of the devil. Satan knew he had to destroy the United States as a bastion of godliness, as a missionary nation, before he could wreak havoc throughout the world. THE U.S. MILITARY MACHINE WAS GOD'S WAY OF DEFENDING THE PEACE SO THAT HIS MESSAGE OF SALVATION COULD BE MADE KNOWN. WASHINGTON'S ADVERSARIES AROUND THE WORLD, THERE-FORE ... [WERE] GOD'S ADVERSARIES, AND EVANGELIZING THE WORLD HINGED ON U.S. MILITARY POWER."

DRUNK WITH THE WINE OF HER FORNICATION

Of course, when right-wing Christians - together with their supporters in the Republican Party - talk of "overturning the rule of those who plot to throw off the 'government of God'," they mean those who would toss out the greedy, money-grubbing American multinationals corporations that are looting the countries of the so-called Third World, and "disappearing" those who seek to extricate their nations from the predatory grasp of the American New World Order System.

Why was all this so hard for American Christians to see? - after all, it didn't take a rocket scientist to see what the American multinationals were doing in the Third World: the wanton destruction of the rain forests, the dispossession of the poor from their land by American agri-businesses, the rape of the earth by American mining interests, the reduction of the peasantry to the status of worker-serfs in the "slave-labor factories" of companies like Liz Claiborne, Nike, etc., and on the banana plantations of the super-rich.

The answer is, American Christians had become INTOXICATED with worldly power, and they were so inebriated by it that they could no longer tell "right from wrong." To put it in the words of the passage of Scripture we have before us (i.e., Revelation 17:1-6), they had been "...  made DRUNK with the wine of her fornication" (Rev. 17:2); specifically, with the wine of their religion's fornication with the American New World Order System.

They had been reduced spiritually to the state of drunkards who "... reel to and fro, and stagger ... and are at their wits' end" (Ps. 107:27), knowing not that those who drink from this cup of fornication are on a path that leads -

"... down to the chambers of death" (Proverbs 7:27) - "... like an oxen that goeth to the slaughter, or as fools to the correction of the stocks; till a dart strike through their livers; as birds hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for their lives" (Proverbs 7:22-23).

In teaming up with the elites of the American New World Order System, they had taken on the despicable image of those elites -

"Being filled with all unrighteousness ... wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

"Backbiters ... despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things ...

"Without understanding, covenantbreakers ... implacable, unmerciful:

"Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, BUT HAVE PLEASURE IN THEM THAT DO THEM." (Romans 1:29-32)

BLIND LEADING THE BLIND

America's Christian leaders had become little better than common inebriates who had been made drunk with the power that their new connection with the Political and Economic elites of the United States had gotten them  - "blind leaders of the blind" (Matthew 15:14) -

"And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch." (Matt. 15:14).

And that's EXACTLY the condition of the American Church today and all those connected to it: they've been made drunk with the wine of the Whore's fornication and have fallen into a deep ditch; besotted inebriates who stagger to and fro unable to see through the foggy haze that beclouds their brains. After all, what else can be said of Christians who embrace warfare as a means of spreading the Gospel of the PRINCE OF PEACE (Isaiah 9:6), the One who instructed His followers to -

"Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,

"Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

"And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also.

"Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. (Luke 6:29-30)

OR do you think that Jesus was simply "blowing smoke" when he said these things? - that He wasn't really serious? If so, you are a blind DOLT!  God's command here could not be any plainer, and if you choose to disobey it, you have NO right to call yourself a "Christian." The command to "LOVE YOUR ENEMIES AND DO GOOD TO THEM WHICH HATE YOU" (Luke 6:29) is central to the teachings of Christ; it is the essence of Christ's message in the New Testament; and, again, if you can't obey God in this matter, why do you call yourself a "Christian?"

MIRROR-IMAGES

Come on now! - where is there any room in the teachings of the New Testament for the kind of warfare mentality of today's American Christian community? - the kind of Christianity that Charles Swindall, D. James Kennedy, Charles Stanley, C. Peter Wagner, et. al. preach. Where is there any room here for the kind of Christianity that the American Church is exporting to the world in the interest of the American New World Order System and on behalf of the financial welfare of the CEOs of Exxon-Mobil, Haliburton, General Electric, Boeing, Ford Motor Company, Nike, Microsoft, etc.?

THE VERY FACT OF THE MATTER IS - WHAT CHRISTIANS IN AMERICA ARE PRODUCING IN THE OUTSIDE WORLD IS A KIND OF MIRROR-IMAGE OF THE CHRISTIANITY THAT HAS TAKEN ROOT IN THE UNITED STATES; A CHRISTIANITY THAT FLOWS OUT OF THE BARREL OF A GUN. All this substantiates the appellation given by the Scriptures to the many, many churches throughout the world that have linked themselves to the American Church: that they are "DAUGHTERS OF THE HARLOT!" And what an evil kind of Christianity these "DAUGHTERS OF THE HARLOT" have created in the client-states of the American new World Order System!

Take just one early example: what happened in Guatemala in the early 1980s under General Efrain Rios Montt. The example here ultimately failed, but it proved useful as a model for other more successful attempts in Honduras, El Salvador, Ecuador, the Congo, the Philippines, etc. And now this example has spread to Europe - in many of the countries of the former Soviet Union. Even in Western Europe this model is beginning to take shape - especially as these populations are being "re-Christianized" (by that I mean "re-discovering" their so-called "Christian roots") under the impress of impoverished Muslim immigrants from North Africa. Indeed, the recent victory of the CDU in Germany is an example of this phenomenon, as is what's happening in Austria, Holland, and Italy. Even the United Kingdom and the Scandinavian countries have not been immune from this pathology. But it's in France under the impress of recent Muslim rioting, that this model is beginning to really take hold.

THE CHURCH IN GUATEMALA:
DAUGHTER OF THE HARLOT

But getting back to the kind of Christianity that the American Church tried to create in Guatemala in 1982, it appeared in answer to a perennial nightmare that the American elites - together with their lackey elites in the area - had had concerning the loss of their vast economic holdings in Latin America to the "scourge" of socialism - a nightmare that was given expression in a book that appeared in 1936. The novel was by an American missionary who wrote about a Russian Bolshevik who leads an uprising among Guatemala's Mayan Indians aimed at igniting a communist revolution in Central America, the fires of which engulf all of Latin America and reach even to the American border at the Rio Grande.

By the very early 1980s - almost fifty years after the book's publication - this seemed precisely to be what was happening. Indians in the western highlands of Guatemala had joined Marxist guerrillas in an effort to drive out the corrupt American-supported military regime that was then ensconced in Guatemala City. The threat was materializing, moreover, in what the Protestant Christian missionaries of Central America regarded as a particularly insidious guise: a revolutionary interpretation of their own Christian faith: the LIBERATION THEOLOGY of left-wing Catholics such as Gustavo Gutierrez, Oscar Romero, Dom Helder Camara and most especially, Ernesto Cardenal. Indeed, Cardenal had actually joined the revolutionary Sandinista government of Daniel Ortega in Nicaragua as a minister in the Sandinista's Revolutionary Council. Christianity in the service of socialism? - in the service of the poor of the earth? Christianity aimed against the rich? - against American corporate interests? What were the proponents of Liberation Theology trying to do? - rob the American New World Order System of its most useful tool in its war against its left-wing opponents? That would never do! The answer of the American Church to the threat of Liberation Theology in Central America - specifically, in Guatemala - was General Efrain Rios Montt who seized power in a military coup on March 23, 1982. This was the kind of man for whom the American missionaries in Guatemala had been praying. Stoll writes:

"We can ... [only] imagine the hymns of praise which greeted this true soldier of God. The confrontation between North American ... [Christianity] and [left-wing Catholic] liberation theology made Central America, in the words of an [American] evangelical missionary, 'one of the strategic battlefields in the spiritual warfare over the allegiance and eternal destiny of the world's inhabitants'. The ... [American form of Christianity], an elder of Rios Montt's Word Church stated, was a 'stabilizing factor'. It would transform Guatemala into a 'spiritual stronghold', prevent Guatemala's rich oil and titanium reserves [most of which, incidentally, were owned by American corporate interests] from falling into Marxist hands, and become a buffer between the United States and the communist advance. 'After Guatemala', warned Word's parent church (see note below on Jim Durkin's Gospel Outreach Church) in the U.S., 'only Mexico remains'!"

NOTE: What American missionaries had in mind at that time was the threat of communism; what they have in mind today is the threat of "Muslim Terrorists."

To the adherents of the American Church in Latin America, the main cause of poverty and social unrest in that area of the world was not the rapacious activity of American corporate interests, but the lack of a genuine "work ethic" and a truncated morality among the poor of the region. It followed, then, that only a moral reformation could save the day.

This was the premise on which Rios Montt announced he would save Guatemala for "Christ and the church" - and, of course, for the American New World Order System. Rios Montt's Christian base in Guatemala was the Word Church headquartered in Guatemala City. It was an extension of Jim Durkin's Gospel Outreach denomination based in Northern California.

NOTE: This was a church that I visited many times in 1982. During this time I met often with Durkin. At the time, the church was full of talk that Guatemala was the beginning of Christianity's conquest of the world - which would lead to Christ's return. The leaders of the church met often with operatives from the U.S. State Department and the CIA - both in Eureka and in Washington D.C.

A LITTLE "NEW ISRAEL OF GOD"

Guatemala, under the tutelage of the American Church and missionaries connected to North America, would become a model of Christian transformation and a beacon of light to other countries of the world threatened by the same "Satanic forces" of socialism and Liberation Theology. It would become a little "New Israel of God" in association with its Mother to the north - the American Church. Indeed, Guatemala would become the first of many "little daughter" churches to the colossus in the north. In January of 1982 Rios Montt declared:

"Guatemalans are the chosen people of the New Testament. We are the New Israelites of Central America."

Encouraged by North American televangelists like Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, Tim LaHaye, D. James Kennedy, etc., American Christians pledged millions and millions of dollars to Rios Montt's effort to drive the "satanic forces" of socialism and Liberation Theology out Guatemala.

Every Sunday morning Rios took to the radio to preach against the sorry state of Guatemalan morality and to encourage his people to begin to take "personal responsibility" for their poverty - NEVER MIND THE FACT THAT THEY HAD BEEN ROBBED OF ANY WAY TO MAKE A LIVING; NEVER MIND THE FACT THAT THE GUATEMALAN PEOPLE HAD LONG AGO BEEN ILLEGALLY STRIPPED OF THEIR LAND BY MONEY-GRUBBING NORTH AMERICAN AGRI-BUSINESSES LIKE UNITED FRUIT COMPANY AND CHIQUITA BRAND; AND NEVER MIND THE FACT THAT THEIR MINERAL WEALTH HAD SIMILARLY FALLEN INTO THE HANDS OF AMERICAN MINING INTERESTS No! - what was needed was a "moral revolution," and somehow or other money would magically "fall from heaven."

And so Rios Montt's war to drive out the forces of satanic socialism and the minions of Liberation Theology began - and what a bloody affair it was!  For example, in July of 1982 the Guatemalan army - IN THE NAME OF THE "PRINCE OF PEACE" (and advised by U.S. Special Forces and the CIA) - wiped out a large village of Chuj Maya men, women and children. Stoll writes:

"This was not a case of civilians caught in a crossfire because there had been no resistance. Gang-rape (the Guatemalan army's inducement for soldiers about to massacre women), torture, execution, and ritual cannibalism were supervised by officers who alighted from a helicopter." [Carrying Bibles in their hands, no doubt.]

KILLING INNOCENT CIVILIANS
IN THE NAME OF GOD

And this was supposed to be the new "Christian army" come to save the "poor and dispossessed" in Guatemala? - and what happened to these Chuj Mayans happened time and time again during the presidency of Rios Montt. And there at the forefront of what was going on were the elders of Rios Montt's Word Church in Guatemala City. What a pathetic sight it was. Take how one Word elder, Francisco Bianchi, tried to justify all the killing:

"The problem of war is not just a question of who is shooting. For each one who is shooting there are ten workers behind him. The guerrillas won over many [civilian] Indian collaborators. Therefore the Indians were subversives. And how do you fight subversion? Clearly you had to kill Indians because they were collaborating with subversion. And then it would be said that you were killing innocent people. But they weren't innocent. They had sold out to subversion." Another Christian observer wrote:

"Killing for the joy of it is wrong, but killing because it is necessary to fight against an anti-Christ system ... is not only right, but the duty of every Christian."

Soon this kind of thinking spread to other countries in the region, and was embraced by other Christian groups. Take what happened with World Vision: Refugees from the fighting in El Salvador who made their way to refugee camps in Honduras that were run by the Christian relief organization were routinely handed over to Honduran death squads which took their orders ultimately from the American Embassy run by John Dimitri Negroponte, now the Director of Intelligence in Washington D.C. A few days later, their mutilated bodies would inevitably be found floating in the river. Not only that, but World Vision staffers actually participated in the Honduran army's interrogation of refugees in their camps, often with CIA officers looking on. ERSATZ REVOLUTIONS IN THE NAME OF THE
AMERICAN NEW WORLD ORDER SYSTEM

It is precisely this kind of Christianity that has been behind the ersatz revolutions in Georgia (the so-called "Rose Revolution") and in the Ukraine (the so-called "Orange Revolution") [both successful] and the aborted revolutions in Belarus and in Venezuela where, as we have already indicated, the CIA attempted to overthrow the legitimate government of Hugo Chavez with the help of right-wing Christian groups in Caracas several years ago. These kind of pseudo-revolutions are becoming endemic all over the world and give evidence to the way right-wing Christian groups and the American New World Order System have teamed up to "bring Christ to the world."
