THE DISCIPLESHIP PROJECT
Over the past few years, Antipas has attempted several
times to begin a TRAINING PROGRAM for those who want to involve themselves
in ministry insofar as the GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM and the "end of days"
are concerned. We have had at various times several hundred students involved
in the training.
Sadly, however, most of our attempts in this direction
have ended in failure. One reason is because Antipas is NOT a TRAINING
ministry per se, but a PROPHETIC ministry primarily oriented
toward courageously and without compromise elucidating the Prophetic Scriptures
in these "end of days;" that is our calling, first and foremost - and in this
respect it must be said that the training and the prophetic ministries are
two very distinct types of ministry.
The PROPHETIC ministry provides one with a
roadmap (as it were) without which one can have no real idea as to
the direction he is going. The TRAINING ministry provides one with
the "wherewithal" of getting there. BOTH TYPES OF MINISTRIES
ARE NECESSARY.
In addition to this distinction, there are several
other points that should be made:

First AND THIS IS SOMETHING THAT WAS MADE VERY REAL
TO US IN OUR FAILED ATTEMPT TO ESTABLISH OURSELVES IN CANADA
is the fact that so many Christians who have wanted to
join themselves to our ministry simply have never been "GROUNDED"
in the Word of God. Indeed, that was the case insofar as
just about everyone who came up to the ranch in Canada.

Second there is, also, the fact that so many Christians
today ARE BELEAGUERED WITH "BESETTING SINS" which
make them totally and completely unable to go on with Christ.
It's not that they don't want to go on, it's just that they
are hindered in doing so because of their "besetting sin(s)"
(Hebrews 12:1) i.e., drugs, pornography, the lust for
money, lying, etc. and they see no way out; indeed, and
very sadly, one dear brother associated with Antipas recently
committed suicide because of his "addiction" (as it were)
to pornography. In this regard it can be said that no other
generation has ever been beset with so much temptation as
the present generation is. Drugs and pornography are everywhere,
and they are making slaves out of millions and millions
of people even Christians. [We URGE you to see

Third - there is the fact that many of those who feel called
to the work of God in these "last days" have never had any
real experience with a "proper church-life" and after
everything is said and done, it is NOT we as individuals
who will prevail against hell, but the church of God. [Please
see our article, "Looking

The DISCIPLESHIP PROJECT was established by my TWIN
brother D.R. SHEARER
to deal with all these problems and many more besides. [Yes!
he is my IDENTICAL twin brother together we
are kind of like the "Sons of Thunder" (Mark 3:17).]
Now, be sure, the DISCIPLESHIP PROJECT is
separate and distinct from Antipas Ministries and it cannot be said that
we agree on all points; but on the NEED for Christians to be DISCIPLED
insofar as these "end of days" are concerned, we are in total agreement.
FRED PALMQUIST is a very
integral part of the DISCIPLESHIP PROJECT. Fred, as many
of you know, has been associated with Antipas Ministries for
over forty years. He acts as a BRIDGE between the two
ministries.
