AND TO CONQUER

INTRODUCTION

It's January 2003, and as you read this article, five American SUPER carriers unlike anything any other nation on earth possesses or can ever hope to possess - really, oceanic "battlestars," each displacing more than 100,000 tons and possessing more raw power than all the armies of World War II combined - are converging on the Middle East with their accompanying naval "battle groups," a vast array of battle cruisers, destroyers, nuclear submarines and support vessels.

In addition, 250,000 U.S. soldiers (including the entire U.S. Fifth Corps with its attendant heavy armor and mechanized divisions as well as independent brigades) are beginning to take up positions there as well. Soon - very soon now - the U.S. army will seize control of Iraq, and position itself PERMANENTLY (despite denials to the contrary) on the banks of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, and America will become both literally and figuratively, the "MASTER OF BABYLON."

One would think that most Christians would "pick up" on what's happening here - but very few are, fulfilling the words of Peter when he wrote:

"This second epistle (i.e., letter), beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:

"That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

"Knowing this first, that THERE SHALL COME IN THE LAST DAYS SCOFFERS ...

"... saying, WHERE IS THE PROMISE OF HIS COMING? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation." (2 Pet. 3:1-4)

GOD'S PLANS DO NOT HINGE ON US

But that doesn't really matter, at least insofar as God is concerned. His plans do not hinge on what we are prepared to believe, or whether we treat His promises with contempt or not; they will come to pass whether we believe or not. In the long run, it only matters to us; we will be the losers, not God, if we fail to recognize what's occurring and neglect to take action as a result.

Prophecy is like a road sign saying: "Slow down, sharp right hand turn ahead!" But if we fail to heed the sign, if we fail to slow down BEFORE we get to the turn, it will be too late to brake once we finally get there, and we will surely slide off the road and crash. Like a road sign, prophecy tells us things before they happen so that we can take evasive action before events catch up with us. If we wait until they finally overtake us, it will be too late to do anything - we will crash! Watch, therefore, for the "signs of the times," and don’t wait to take action. You may wait too long! Jesus said,

"... When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is ... (clear). And in the morning, IT WILL BE FOUL WEATHER, FOR THE SKY IS RED AND LOWERING. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the SIGNS OF THE TIMES?" (Matt. 16:2-3)

Certainly, one would think that seeing an American army - our own army with our own sons and daughters as foot soldiers in it - converge on the Middle East, specifically on the banks of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers in the immediate environs of ancient Babylon, is a "SIGN OF THE TIMES," and should cause one to say that THERE IS A STORM COMING -

"... THERE WILL BE FOUL WEATHER TODAY." (Matt. 16:2-3)

Yes! - that's what one would think; but, again, that's not what's happening. Instead, most Christians remain totally oblivious to what's REALLY occurring - AND SO MUCH SO THAT MOST OF THEM CAN BE FOUND SLAVISHLY AND FAWNINGLY EMBRACING THE VERY MAN MOST RESPONSIBLE FOR CREATING THIS STORM: GEORGE W. BUSH. Moreover, they are embracing him not just as their president, but as THE MAN CHOSEN BY GOD to re-energize Western Christendom, save it from destruction at the hands of the "secular-humanists," and finally, a man who - if he continues on the course of world domination that he has apparently set for himself - may actually end up "conquering the earth for Christ and the church."

C. PETER WAGNER ON GEORGE BUSH

That's certainly what C. Peter Wagner - who presumptuously styles himself as the "PRESIDING APOSTLE" of the "INTERNATIONAL COALITION OF APOSTLES" - thinks. [Please see our article on Wagner and the Prophets and Apostles Movement, "Today's Church: Making Zombies out of Christians - the Prophets and Apostles Movement."]

Commenting on Bush's "War on Terrorism" that is now threatening to "morph" into a war against all of Islam, Wagner writes:

"The United States and the world are attempting to emerge from a history-altering catastrophe (by which Wagner means the destruction of the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001 by al-Qaeda). President Bush used well-chosen (and appropriate) language when he characterized this conflagration as a conflict between good and evil ... For the first time in 50 years our nation is now unified, in heart and in voice, READY TO SHIFT FROM AN ERA OF PEACE TO AN ERA OF WAR." SPIRITUAL WARFARE IN CONJUNCTION
WITH PHYSICAL WARFARE

Wagner seems to actually revel in the fact that Bush is taking the nation into a war against Islam; he says that the church too must ready itself for this war: Moreover, like Bush, Wagner sees this war as a conflict between "GOOD" and "EVIL;" between "GOD" and the "DEVIL" - a war that must be prosecuted both physically and spiritually. He writes:

"We have enemies in both the visible world and the invisible world, and, ultimately, our enemies in the invisible world, under Satan as their Commander-in-Chief, influence our natural enemies such as the hijackers who commandeered the commercial jets which inflicted unthinkable destruction on our nation."

Wagner elaborates on what he means:

"We must keep in mind that there are two important and interconnecting worlds, the visible world of the natural world and the invisible world of the spiritual world. God has established governments to set policies and execute strategies in the visible world. He has established the church to do likewise in the invisible world. When war comes, as it now has, God will accomplish His will both through governments and the church if the respective leaders will seek Him, hear Him accurately, and obey Him."

Wagner believes that for there to be victory in the "visible world" (i.e., victory for the "American New World Order System" which he fervently believes is God's "Redeemer Nation" ordained by Him to conquer the world for "Christ and the church - please see our article, "Inside the American New World Order System") there must be victory in the "invisible world" (i.e., the church). That both spheres (worlds) must coordinate their respective efforts in order to bring God's Kingdom to earth. Wagner writes,

"It is our responsibility, as church leaders, to use the authority that God has delegated to us and to conquer the invisible forces of darkness ... THIS IS WHAT OPENS THE WAY FOR OUR GOVERNMENT LEADERS (i.e., Bush et. al.) TO MAKE GODLY DECISIONS IN THE NATURAL REALM."

Wagner plainly sees Bush as "GOD'S MAN ON EARTH" executing judgment against America's enemies - which are, ipso facto, the church's enemies. He believes that the church must support Bush (i.e., "God's man") in this effort and work in consort with him. He writes:

"In God's providence, things have now changed in Washington. THE ELECTION OF 2000 (which brought George Bush to power) WAS A VITAL SPIRITUAL VICTORY FOR OUR NATION ... (TODAY) WE HAVE LEADERS WHO DESIRE A DIVINE CONNECTION BETWEEN HEAVEN AND EARTH ... If our government leaders ... are to implement God's purpose here on earth, the church must be equally ready to move into a wartime stance and go on the offensive ... It is time to go to battle in the invisible world ..."

THE ARROGANCE OF C. PETER
WAGNER AND HIS ILK

Now it might fairly be asked, Exactly what kind of a Christian would arrogate unto himself the right to speak for the church in this manner? The hubris and titanic impertinence of Wagner and his ilk in styling themselves "apostles" and "prophets" with the RIGHT to speak for the church give some idea of what the Apostle Paul meant when he said:

"For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

"And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

"Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works." (2 Cor. 11:13-15)

"Transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ" - that's what the Bible says; they're doing it, not God; they've appointed themselves as "spokesmen for God, God had nothing to do with it. Sandy Simpson writes,

"I'd like to know who made Wagner the 'PRESIDING APOSTLE' of the church ... That he and a few others want to be the papal voice of Christianity (as if we needed a larger cacophony of voices at this point) is an indictment on Christianity as a whole. (It's) because the true church has not cast these people out and called them cultists and heretics long ago that we now have to contend with them claiming absolute authority over the churches."

Jesus warns us about these so-called "apostles" and "prophets" - i.e., about the kind of people who have the temerity and effrontery to appoint themselves as such:

"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." (Matt. 7:15)

And Jesus goes on to say that such people are,

"... false Christs, and false prophets, ... (who) shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." (Matt. 24:24)

What is it that the Bible is saying here? - it's warning us against allowing these men to substantiate their claims to "apostleship" by (1) the supposed "sanctity of their lives" [i.e., "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing ..." (after all, by this standard, Ghandi and "Mother Theresa" could claim "apostleship" in today's church despite the fact that they were NOT Christians by any standard evangelicals would accept)], and (2) "great signs and wonders" (by that standard, the prophets of Baal and the magicians of Egypt could be called apostles). But these are EXACTLY the means that Wagner and his ilk use to verify their "apostleships;" it's certainly not by recourse to the Bible.

The very real fact of the matter is, these men - all of them - are CHARLATANS and FRAUDS - impostors and pretenders posing as leaders of the church, and calling on it to support Bush in his endless "War on Terrorism" and his attempt to construct a "National Security State." The blindness of Wagner and his crowd here is staggering! - "blind leaders of the blind" - that's what they are. SNUFFING OUT OPPOSITION IN THE
CHURCH TO ITS ALLIANCE WITH GEORGE BUSH

Wagner says that it is the duty of church leaders everywhere to prepare Christians for battle in the "invisible realm" in support of what Bush is trying to accomplish in the "visible realm;" to that end, church leaders must thwart and defeat any "CLINTONESQUE (Wagner's word), PACIFISTIC, ANTI-WAR mood" from taking hold of the church; the unity of the church is paramount if pacifism is to be defeated, and anti-war sentiment successfully driven from the church. Accordingly, the saints must be brought UNDER THE DISCIPLINE OF THEIR PASTORS and elders, who in turn must SUBMIT themselves to the RULE (i.e., the government) of the "Apostles and Prophets." Wagner says,

"God has prepared us for this moment: Intercessors began to be recognized in the 1970s, prophets in the 1980s, and apostles in the 1990s. THE GOVERNMENT OF THE CHURCH IS IN PLACE and we must be obedient ... (The apostles are now prepared to rule over the saints and prepare them for war) ... the church leaders most responsible for MOVING BELIEVERS INTO WAR ARE THE APOSTLES ..."

Wagner sees all this - i.e., the "recovery" of the ministry of "intercessors," "prophets," and "apostles" - as "divine preparation" for the coming war - a war that Barbara Wentroble prophesied about, saying -

"... Eat and drink and gain new strength. Rise up and GET READY FOR WAR."

IMPOSING UNITY UNDER PAIN OF EX-COMMUNICATION

Speaking concerning the discipline that the "government of the church" must be prepared to impose on believers who "vacillate" as the church prepares itself for war in conjunction with Bush's American New World Order System, Rick Joyner writes,

"SOME PASTORS AND LEADERS WHO CONTINUE TO RESIST THIS TIDE ... MUST BE REMOVED FROM THEIR PLACE."

And again,

"... there will be many ‘stumbling blocks’ circulating in the church ... . Those serving in leadership must trust their discernment and REMOVE the ‘stumbling blocks’."

Of course, in saying this, Joyner is unwittingly fulfilling the words of Christ when He said:

"... THEY SHALL SEPARATE YOU FROM THEIR COMPANY, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake." (Luke 6:22)

And again,

"... take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the ... (churches) ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them." (Mark 13:9)

Wagner and people like him are, of course, inured to the implications of what they are doing; Wagner says that "pacifism" in the church opens the door to "a spirit of fear." The "government of the church" must drive out that spirit by imposing OBEDIENCE on the saints - again, the kind of obedience that will culminate in church UNITY which will then enable the church to take its place with Bush (and America) in what he calls "this great prophetic moment." Wagner says,

"I believe that we are on the threshold of entering into a season in which the power of God in prophecy, healing, miracles, strategic-level spiritual warfare ... will be widely manifested."

But once more, whether or not all this happens is dependent on church unity - and for the sake of this unity, Wagner and his coterie are willing to be UTTERLY ruthless in rooting out pacifism and dissension from the church.

REGNUM AND SACERDOTIUM

Whether Wagner - who is, despite his pretensions to intellectuality and his connection to Fuller Theological Seminary, very much a dolt and a dullard - realizes it or not, what he is expounding here is the HATEFUL and very MEDIEVAL doctrine of Regnum and Sacerdotium by which the Catholic Church held captive the whole of Western Christendom for over a thousand years at the point of a sword.

It is precisely this doctrine that brought us the Dark Ages with all of its ghastly superstitions, witchcraft, and ghoulish "goings on;" the Thirty Years War that killed off one-third of the population of Europe; the slaughter of the Indian cultures in the New World in the name of "Christ and the church;" the Inquisition with all of its "sublime" torture and pain, ad infinitum, ad naseum. And now evangelical Christian institutions like Fuller Theological Seminary and Wheaton College as well as groups like the Promise Keepers Movement [to which Tony Evans introduced George Bush in the late 1980s and early 1990s (please see our article, "George Bush, the Promise Keepers, and the Principles of Messianic Leadership" )], and the Apostles and Prophets Movement are trying to revive this abhorrent doctrine? It's INSANE!

DOMINIONISM

But that is precisely what they want to do, and that is EXACTLY what they are doing: The fact is, the newer evangelical doctrine of DOMINIONISM is nothing more or less than the older Catholic doctrine of Regnum and Sacerdotium dressed up in "modern garb;" but it is no less deranged and ghoulish. Both doctrines encourage the Christian conquest of the earth through "THE BARREL OF A GUN" and the "POINT OF A SWORD" - what Catholic theologians call the concept of the so-called "Just War." That's, of course, the kind of thing the late R.J. Rushdooney was thinking about when he excitedly exclaimed,

"In winning a nation (or the world) to the gospel, the sword as well as the pen must be used." [Please see our article on Rushdooney, "The Right Wing Panics."]

Many Christians claim that this is a good idea - i.e., the Catholic concept of a "Just War;" unfortunately, whenever Christian have attempted to implement it, it has ended up in TERROR, TORTURE, and DEATH. You doubt? You think that the evangelicals will do better at it than the Catholics? - well, if you think so, you are a FOOL and an IGNORAMUS! One has only to examine the bloody swath of the evangelicals across Central and South America to be disabused of such thinking.

Jesus said,

"... My kingdom is NOT of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight ... but ... my kingdom (is) NOT ... from hence." (John 18:36)

And more than that, He warned His disciples against "taking up the sword" in "this life" and "in this world:"

"... ALL they that take the sword shall perish with the sword." (Matt. 26:52)

The very real fact of the matter is, there is ABSOLUTELY nothing Biblical about this kind of thinking (at least from the standpoint of the New Testament). Jesus said:

"Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:

"But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

"Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

"That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

"For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?" (Matt. 5:38-39, 43-46)

But this is certainly not what Wagner and his cabal of flunkies and false teachers are telling the church to do. He is advocating the EXACT opposite, and he calls all those who oppose him on this matter "Clinton-like pacifists" and "anti-war cowards" that should be "booted out of the church."

Sadly, it is precisely this kind of thinking that will lead to the disaster of the "end of days." And it is exactly this relationship between the state (Regnum) and the church (Sacerdotium) that Wagner and his insane coterie of nincompoop followers are pushing on Christians in their fawning devotion to George Bush and his American New World Order System that the Bible portrays as a woman (the church) riding a beast (the state - specifically, America)!

THE BLIND LEADING THE BLIND

The blind leading the blind! - that's what we have here: False prophets and false Christs who somehow or other have actually come to believe that they are "doing service for God" by forcing the Gospel of Christ on unbelievers AT THE POINT OF A SWORD and THROUGH THE BARREL OF A GUN - the same Christ who told His disciples, "Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you." (Matt. 5:43) Are these people mad? Can't they read? These are the people of whom Jesus said:

"Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,

"This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

"... in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

"... they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch." (Matt. 15:7-9, 14)

PART II
THE BEAST

THE FAMILY THAT PREYS TOGETHER

And exactly who is it that these "blind leaders of the blind" are calling, "GOD'S MAN?" Is Bush really the Christian that he is promoting himself to be? and that the leaders of the church say he is? Bush says that "Christianity" in the Bush clan is a "family affair," and most Christians take him at his word for that. But Russell S. Bowan tells a different story in his book, The Immaculate Deception. According to Bowan, the history of the Bush family is not characterized by its loyalty to Christianity at all, but rather by its loyalty to "Big Money" and the brutality and cruelty that it takes to pursue it. This is also what Jack Calhoun says. [Please see the article, "The Family that Preys Together" by Jack Calhoun published in Covert Action Quarterly.]

According to both Bowan and Calhoun, the shocking truth is that the Bush family has a brutish HISTORY of INIQUITOUS political and economic "finagling" and "manipulation" that would have landed most ordinary people in jail, the kind of history that - according to Exodus 34:6-7 - causes God to "VISIT THE INIQUITY OF THE FATHERS upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and the fourth generation" (Ex. 20:5)

The fact is, the Bush clan is a back-scratching, name-dropping elite Eastern Establishment family of politicians, businessmen and financiers that have deep connections to the ugly underbelly of everything that's wrong with America, and that is hidden in the ooze and stink of America's bowels; but a family which nonetheless exists in a world of preferential treatment where public officials condone (out of fear for their own welfare and even safety) the type of conduct that would be prosecuted if the name weren't Bush. Finally, IT'S A WORLD THAT IS UTTERLY BEHOLDEN TO BIG OIL, WHICH GIVES SOME IDEA AS TO THE REAL REASON WHY AMERICAN FORCES ARE RIGHT NOW CONVERGING ON IRAQ, A NATION WITH PROVEN OIL RESERVES SECOND ONLY TO SAUDI ARABIA.

IT'S BAD; IT'S VERY BAD

And exactly how bad is the Bush family's history? From an evangelical standpoint (especially insofar as the evangelical community's professed favorable disposition towards the Jews and Israel is concerned), it's BAD; it's very BAD. And we are talking here about the kind of evil that would make even the sexual proclivities of the Kennedys and the Clintons pale in comparison.

Yes! - the sexual misdeeds of the Kennedys and the Clintons are bad. Fornication is a terrible sin, there's no doubt about that: It is a sin against one's own body. (I Cor. 6:18) But the kind of sin that the Bush family has been involved in is much more than that, and extends far beyond one's person; it involves "trafficking in the souls of men" for money - the kind of sin that illustrates what Christ meant when He said,

"For the love of money is the root of ALL evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." (1 Tim. 6:10)

WILLIAMS STAMPS FARISH III: THE INHERITOR
OF THE AUSCHWITZ DEATH CAMP FORTUNE

And what kind of sin are we talking about when we say that the Bush family has "trafficked in the souls of men" for money? Well, take the Bush family's connection to William Stamps Farish III, THE INHERITOR OF THE AUSCHWITZ DEATH CAMP FORTUNE. Farish is a close friend of George Bush the Elder - so close in fact that when he (i.e., Bush the Elder) was elected vice president in 1980, he designated Farish to manage all of his personal wealth in a "blind trust." You don't do that with just any "ordinary friend."

And there is no mistake about Farish! - Farish's grandfather, W.S. Farish, pleaded "no contest" in 1942 to charges of CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY with the Nazis. As president and chief executive officer of Standard Oil of New Jersey prior to and during the Second World War, Farish was the controller of the global cartel between Standard Oil and the German I.G. Farben Company. This joint enterprise (i.e., the one between Standard Oil and I.G. Farben) operated the Auschwitz slave labor camp to produce artificial rubber and gasoline from coal for the German war effort. Jews at the plant were worked as slaves, and after they could work no longer, they were gassed using Zyklon-B, a gas that I.G. Farben developed specifically for that purpose. And remember here, Farish was involved in the operation of the Auschwitz death camp for the sake of "FILTHY LUCRE" which in a very real way is far more ABHORRENT than being involved out of ideological or racist passion. This is what we mean when we say that the Bush family has "trafficked in the souls of men."

GUILT BY ASSOCIATION?

There are, of course, some Christians who would say that we are being too harsh with regard to the Bush family insofar as Farish is concerned: it's GUILT BY ASSOCIATION! - and that is WRONG! Well, save your breath on that point - the Bush family's connection to Auschwitz is much deeper than that; the fact of the matter is, Prescott Bush, the President's grandfather was involved in the I.G. Farben / Standard Oil Consortium that ran Auschwitz up to his eyeballs as a lackey to Averill Harriman, the Guaranty Trust Company, and Dresser Industries (more about Dresser below). But even if that had not been the case, the Bush family's indirect association with Auschwitz through Farish would have been enough to condemn the Bushes in the eyes of God - unto the third and fourth generations ..." (Ex. 20:5)

And why is that? - because, in point of fact, the Bible endorses the concept of "guilt by association." This is why the Lord warned Joshua against "bad" relationships, and admonished the Israelites to drive out from Canaan all those inhabitants who had previously occupied the land:

"Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘When you cross over the Jordan into the land of Canaan, then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their figured stones, and destroy all their molten images and demolish all their high places; and you shall take possession of the land and live in it, for I have given the land to you to possess it. But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then it shall come about that those whom you let remain (will become) as pricks in your eyes and as thorns in your sides, and they shall trouble you in the land in which you live." (Num. 33:51-53, 55)

The truth is, the associations we keep, the friendships we make, and the institutional relationships we sustain - especially our religious and political ones - go a long way in defining us as persons. As a result - and more often than we care to admit - these relationships imply endorsement, endorsement not only of the people with whom we associate, but more often than not, of their ideas as well. Certainly this is true of political and religious organizations; and the more extreme these organizations are, the more true it becomes. What's that say then about Bush family's relationship with Farish and the others?

A MATTER OF "PUBLIC RECORD"

Now all this - i.e., Bush's connection to the Farish family and the Standard Oil / I.G. Farben consortium that ran the Auschwits death camp - is a matter of "Public Record." There's nothing secret about any of it. Christians don't know about it because they have chosen NOT to know. But that doesn't make it any less true.

What is it about Christians today that predisposes them to fume and rant endlessly about the sexual sins of liberals like the Clintons and the Kennedys, while dismissing the far more serious sins of the Bush family? Commenting on this proclivity in the thinking of most American Christians, Gore Vidal - whose critical essays on the "American condition" (and particularly that sex-obsessed form of it that passes for "right religion" in this country) have driven him into expatriate status in Ravello, Italy - writes in his elegant book America: The Last Empire, that insofar as most Christians in the United States are concerned,

"... MORALITY HAS NOTHING AT ALL TO DO WITH ETHICS OR RIGHT ACTION OR WHO IS STEALING WHAT MONEY - AND LIBERTIES - AND FROM WHOM. MORALITY IS SEX, SEX, SEX."

Vidal has noticed what so many other critics of American Christianity have taken note of over the years: that most Christians in the United States think that sexual sin is the only kind of sin that counts; the only kind that God is concerned about. But come on now! - where is there any comparison between the sexual sins that the Kennedys and the Clintons engaged in, and the kind of sin that the Bush family was involved in insofar as their connection to the Nazis is concerned; the first kind of sin involved only the immediate participants; the second kind involved millions and millions of people throughout the world. Where is the outcry against this sin?

BUSH'S CLAIMS OF INNOCENCE

There are some, of course, who say that Bush the Elder knew nothing about what the Farish family had been up to during the war; that it was kind of a secret between Prescott Bush and W.S. Farish. But that's simply not true. President Harry S. Truman knew, and actually labeled Farish's connection (and, ipso facto, Prescott Bush's attachment) to I.G. Farben "treasonous." If Truman knew, and PUBLICLY labeled it "treasonous," then certainly Bush the Elder must have known that in his relations with the Farish family, he was involving himself with Germans who had been DIRECTLY implicated in the extermination of the Jews. Come on now! It's more than naive to think otherwise, it's just plain stupid.

THE SEEMING BLINDNESS AND NAIVETÉ OF CHRISTIANS AND
JEWS TO THE BUSH FAMILY'S HISTORY OF ANTI-SEMITISM

Moreover, one should not write the "Farish case" off as an aberration; there is a history here regarding the Bush family's indifference to Nazi depravity. The fact is, when George Bush the Elder became president in 1988, he had to dismiss seven of his closest campaign organizers and prevent them from transitioning into his presidential administration because they had been "OUTED" by the Washington Post for their pro-Nazi connections. The seven were a part of Bush's "campaign outreach" to extreme right-wing groups in the Eastern European ethnic communities of the United States. As usual, when Bush was confronted with these facts, he professed ignorance of the pro-Nazi backgrounds of his subordinates; but, again, he was lying. To think that these men had not been run through extensive background checks and "vetted" is moronic. Bush knows the value of such things; after all, he was chief of the CIA for years and years. Moreover, the stories that had appeared in the pages of the Washington Post (and had led to the dismissal of these men from Bush's campaign staff) were not the first stories the Post had run on these individuals; the paper had run articles on all of these men several years before while Bush was still vice president to Ronald Reagan.

WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE ANYWAY

And exactly who were some of these people with whom Bush's subordinates were associating themselves? - they were all members of the REPUBLICAN HERITAGE GROUPS COUNCIL, a group that Bush the Elder had PERSONALLY formed to promote Republican Party interests in the Eastern European ethnic communities of the United States. Investigative reporter Russ Bellant lists some of them; for example, take -

Florian Galdau: An associate of Romanian Archbishop Valerian Trifa (see below), a leader of Romania’s Iron Guard who emigrated to America after the war. After reaching the United States, Trifa set about establishing a network of Nazi expatriates. Trifa brought Galdau to the United States in 1955 to help in his work. Galdau was brought in specifically to head a New York City Iron Guard unit. Galdau’s task was to recruit new Romanian immigrants into the Guard. According to FBI documents, however, Trifa lied to Immigration authorities concerning his Nazi background. He also hid the fact that he had participated in the murder of Jews in Bucharest, Romania in 1941.

In 1984, Archbishop Trifa was brought to trial by the Office of Special Investigation (OSI) on charges that he had filed false immigration papers. Trifa fled the country later that year to avoid prosecution, leaving behind Galdau to carry on his work. Before leaving, Trifa ordered the installation of Galdau as pastor of St. Dumitru, a Manhattan parish. It has been estimated that Galdau helped bring into the country as many as 20,000 Romanian refugees - all Nazi collaborators. Over the years, Galdau has performed priestly functions at events that commemorated Iron Guard founder Corneliu Godreanu.

Trifa himself once concurred in an interview that the Galdau church was "a center of fascists." In 1974, The United Israel Bulletin of New York headlined a story, "Florian Galdau, a Priest, Heads New York Iron Guard Cell." [United Israel Bulletin, Summer 1974, p. 1.] Galdau is one of the founders of the Republican Heritage Groups Council and was listed as a member of the Host Committee for a reception honoring President Reagan’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Jeane J. Kirkpatrick and Frank J. Fahrenkopf, Jr., Chairman of the Republican National Committee, during the Council’s 1987 meeting in Washington, D.C. In 1988 he was named National Chair of Romanians for Bush. And who exactly was Galdau’s mentor, Valerian Trifa?

Valerian Trifa: Leader of the Romanian Iron Guard in Bucharest in 1941. The Guard was a pro-Nazi Romanian group linked to the SS by liaison officers such as Otto von Bolschwig of the German SS. In 1941 the Guard went on a rampage in Bucharest, seeking out Jews for gruesome deaths. Three days of chaos ensued. During those three days, witnesses charge that Trifa personally went into a jail and killed Jews who had been put into a cell there. After the war, Trifa was able to come to the U.S. and take over the Romanian Orthodox church by means of physical coercion. In 1952, Trifa became an Archbishop of the Romanian Orthodox Church.

Walter Melianovich: The head of the Byelorussian GOP unit. The unit is closely associated with the Byelorussian-American Association (BAA), an émigré group made up, in part, of former collaborators of the Nazi occupation and its extermination campaign. An early BAA leader was Franz Kushel, an SS major general and commander of the Belarus Brigade, a Waffen SS unit.

According to the Belarus Secret, a book about Byelorussian Nazi collaboration, Kushel’s men carried over 40,000 Jews to an execution ground in 1941. Another BAA leader, Stanislaw Stankievich, one-time editor of a Nazi-funded newspaper, came from an upper-class family of Nazi collaborators. He became a mayor of Borissow in 1941. After having a wall built around the Jewish section of the city, Stankievich conducted a series of financial extortions on the contained ghetto. His police than sadistically exterminated the seven thousand Jews of Borissow on October 20, 1941.

As the Soviets advanced on German-occupied Byelorussia, a puppet Byelorussian Congress was formed to help mobilize support for the defense of Germany. The 1,039 delegates to this "All-Byelorussian Second Congress" were screened and approved by Germany. These delegates, many of them leaders of police units and a Byelorussian Waffen SS division, came to dominate the BAA. Melianovich has met with various U.S. agencies including the National Security Council staff in an effort to return fascists to power in Byelorussia. Melianovich has even provided U.S. government leaders with a map of Byelorussia complete with new "ethnogenetical borders."

Melianovich claims that the Republican Heritage Groups Council has "changed the image of the Republican Party under our pressure." Charging the Democrats with only caring about "the Black and Jewish vote," he says that "if anyone should be called nationalist, it is the GOP." Melianovich was named National Chairman of Byelorussians for Bush in 1988.

Frank J. Fahrenkopf: for whatever reason, Fahrenkopf, the former Chairman of the Republican National Committee, has - over the years - become particularly linked to Croatian Republicans. For example, Fahrenkopf signed a 1984 Republican Heritage Groups Council booklet listing commemorative dates of significance to ethnic Americans. The entry for April 10th reads, "The Independent State of Croatia was declared by unanimous proclamation in 1941 ... Lack of Western support and Axis occupation forced the new state into an unfortunate association with the Axis powers." The statement is a fabrication. Croatia was pro-Nazi long before the German occupation.

The Nazis had a long-standing relationship with the Croatian Ustashi beginning years before the Second World War; indeed, the Nazis conspired with the Vatican to help create the "independent state of Croatia" after the German attack on Yugoslavia in the spring of 1941; and it is no doubt safe to say that without Vatican and Nazi support, Croatia would never have gained its "independence." Soon thereafter, the Ustashi began systematically liquidating Orthodox Serbians, Jews, and Gypsies. So frenzied did their effort eventually become that even the Nazis were taken aback by the barbarity of the Ustashi concentration camps and the liquidation of whole Serbian villages. Huge ovens at Jasenovac reportedly burned Serbs, Jews and Gypsies alive.

An estimated 750,000 people, mostly Serbians, were killed by the Croatians. The "independent state of Croatia," which Fahrenkopf suggests should be commemorated, ceased to exist after the fall of the Third Reich. It’s re-emergence four years ago under right-wing German, Austrian and Vatican pressure may very well foreshadow the kind of power structure which is currently re-surfacing in Croatia.

Method Balco: The head of the Slovak-American Republican Federation of the Republican Heritage Groups Council. He is a close friend of Josef Mikus (see above) and John Hvasta. Like Balco, Mikus and Hvasta are members of the Slovak Republican delegation to the Republican Heritage Groups Council. All three work closely with the Toronto-based Slovak World Congress, a group set up and greatly influenced by former aides to Monsignor Josef Tiso. Tiso was head of Slovakia, a Nazi puppet state, during the war.

Slovakia was created by Hitler after he split Czechoslovakia in 1939. When the U.S. declared war on Germany on December 12, 1941, Tiso declared Slovakia at war with the U.S. Tiso created the Hlinka Guard, a unit allied with the German SS, which was responsible for the slaughter of some 75,000 Jews. Despite the Nazi history in Slovakia, Balco still organizes an annual commemoration of the Tiso rule in New York.

John Hvasta: A member of the Slovak Republican delegation to the Republican Heritage Groups Council. Hvasta also helped the 1988 Presidential Campaign of former Ku Klux Klan leader and white supremacist David Duke. Hvasta has also been linked to Joseph Kirschbaum, a principal of the Slovak World Congress. Kirschbaum was a top commander of the SS-like Hlinka Guard. Kirschbaum is responsible for editing a number of speeches by Ferdinand Durcansky, Tiso’s former foreign minister. One speech which touched on the massacre of Jews in Slovakia ominously warned, "... I hope we live to see the time when the Jews draw from these facts the necessary objective conclusions ..."

BUSH FAMILY INDIFFERENCE TO NAZI DEPRAVITY

Bush is simply lying when he maintains that he didn't know anything about these people. The fact is, Bush knew - he was simply INDIFFERENT to it all; he didn't see anything wrong with it, just as he didn't see anything wrong with his connection to Farish. One would think that it's not possible for any right-thinking person NOT to be REVULSED by such a connection; but, again, the Bush family doesn't seem to give a whit. THE FACT IS, THERE IS AN INDIFFERENCE IN THE BUSH FAMILY TOWARDS THE JEWS THAT IS BREATH-TAKING IN ITS COLDNESS AND FRIGIDITY, BUT ONE THAT IS EASILY TRACEABLE FROM SAMUEL BUSH THROUGH PRESCOTT BUSH TO GEORGE BUSH THE ELDER - and this cold indifference leads one to understand why Bush the Elder's Secretary of State, James Baker, could blurt out the words, "FUCK THE JEWS" and think nothing of it. There is a history of this kind of thing in the Bush family; take another example: Prescott Bush's deep involvement with Nazis in the Union Banking Corporation in the 1920s and later in the 1930s: the membership of the bank's Board of Directors "gives the game away:"

1. Roland Harriman - Vice President of W.A. Harriman and Company.
2. H.J. Kouwenhoven - NAZI BANKER and Managing Director of the Bank Voor Handel.
3. J.G. Groeningen - NAZI MEMBER of the steel cartel that financed Hitler rise to power.
4. C. Lievense - President, Union Banking Corporation, New York.
5. E.S. James - Partner of W.A. Harriman.
6. PRESCOTT BUSH - Director of Union Banking and the grandfather of George Bush II, the current president of the United States.

Union Banking Corporation was heavily involved with Dresser Industries which itself was deeply immersed in drilling for oil in the Caspian Sea oil fields of the old Soviet Union prior to the Second World War. The company (i.e., Dresser) was a prominent manufacturer of oil drilling equipment that was vitally needed at the time to expand Soviet oil production in the Caspian basin; its American partners in this endeavor - in addition to the Union Banking Corporation - were the W.A. Harriman Company, Guaranty Trust, Standard Oil of New Jersey, and J.P. Morgan. Prescott Bush not only sat on the Board of Union Banking, but was the "guiding light" behind this many-faceted partnership which aimed to develop the Caspian oil fields IN THE INTERESTS OF GERMANY.

So tight was the "working arrangement" that Dresser Industries developed between German and American oil interests in the old Soviet Union's Caspian Sea oil fields, that when Hitler invaded Russia in June of 1941, one of his prime reasons for doing so was to drive his Southern Army Group south into the Caucasus to capture the Caspian oil fields in the interest of the oil consortium that Dresser (and Bush) had helped to develop. It's for this reason, as well as many others, that led Truman to label the Americans who had been involved with Dresser "traitors."

FOLLOWING THE TRAIL: THE INIQUITY OF
THE FATHERS IS PASSED ON TO THE SONS

One would think that that would have ended the relationship that the Bush family had with Dresser. But not so! - the fact is, when George Bush I arrived in Texas shortly after the war to begin his career as an ersatz TEXAS OILMAN, he arrived - contrary to the mythology that now surrounds him - AS A REPRESENTATIVE OF DRESSER INDUSTRIES. The fact is, the story that most Christians have been told that George Bush I went to Texas in a run-down red Studebaker to seek his own way in the "rough and tumble" world of the oil fields of Odessa, Texas is just that - a story. The truth is, according to Oscar Wyatt, Bush -

"... flew down to Texas on Dresser's private aircraft. He was accompanied by his father (i.e., Prescott) who at the time was one of the directors of Dresser Industries ... I hate it when people make statements about Mr. Bush's humble beginnings in the oil industry. It just didn't happen that way."

Stories again! More "tall tales!" Blatant fabrications that the rich pay to have written about them which the poor don't have the money or time to uncover for themselves; that's what the Bush family-mythology is made up of: LIES.

Nonetheless, with a little digging, a little scraping, a little work and some "due diligence," the truth can be uncovered - after all, the lies upon which the Bush family-mythology is built are so blatant, so obvious, and so unsubtle that nothing can cover them for long; and the truth, once uncovered, goes a long way to demonstrate the biblical truth that the -

"... INIQUITY OF THE FATHERS (are visited) upon the children unto the third and fourth generations ..." (Ex. 20:5)

GENERATIONAL MEMORY AND GENERATIONAL SIN

Now, what does that mean? - it means that there is such a thing as "generational memory;" that the sins that plague one generation plague the next, and so on, and on; that we pass our sins on from one generation to the other. Are we wife-beaters? - be careful, the chances are our children will be wife-beaters too; are we profaners? - the chances are, our children will be profaners too; are we liars? - the chances are, our children will be liars too - calling forth God's judgment against our children, just as we too have been visited by the judgment of God.

This is what Exodus 34:6-7 means when it says:

"... the LORD ... (is) merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,

"Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin (for those who actively seek His forgiveness) ... (but who) will by no means clear the guilty (of their sins who fail to seek His forgiveness); VISITING THE INIQUITY OF THE FATHERS upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation." (Ex. 34:6-7)

And so it is with the Bush family, and so it is with ALL families.

The very real and somber truth of the matter is, there is such a thing as "family history" - a psychological LEGACY that is very difficult for us to break out of, and it affects us either for good or for evil; moreover, its influence can be found not only in the things that we are actively taught by our parents, but in the very family "atmosphere" that surrounds us; it's in the spiritual and psychological milieu that encloses us, and it seeps into us in ways that are too numerous to count. That's what the Bible is saying here. Put another way, the Bible says:

"A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump." (Gal. 5:9)

That's what our family history is - it's LEAVEN. And that's what leaven does! - it affects us, and even infects us, for good or for evil. In other words, good things beget good things, evil things beget evil things. The Bible says:

"For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit." (Luke 6:43)

And,

"Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit." (Matt. 7:17)

REMEMBERING WHAT REPENTANCE MEANS

There are, no doubt, many very naive Christians who believe that the younger Bush has repented from all this. That he did so when he received Christ as Savior from Billy Graham back in the mid-1980s. BUT ONE MUST REMEMBER WHAT REPENTANCE MEANS: IT MEANS THAT ONE MUST ACTIVELY "TURN AWAY" FROM THOSE THINGS WHICH HAVE POLLUTED HIM; HE MUST RENOUNCE, ABANDON, GIVE UP AND REPUDIATE THEM, AND HE MUST DO SO OPENLY AND PUBLICLY - EVEN IF IT MEANS FORSWEARING THOSE ADVANTAGES UPON WHICH HE HAS RELIED TO GET HEM WHERE HE IS. HE MUST DISAVOW THOSE ADVANTAGES; HE MUST DISCARD THEM; HE MUST DISOWN THEM AND DECLINE THEIR USE. THAT'S WHAT REPENTANCE MEANS!

One cannot build up the kingdom of God using Mafia money, or money that has been derived from prostitution, or from a bank robbery. And more than that, one does not build up the kingdom of God using Mafia friendships or "connections."

IS THAT WHAT BUSH HAS DONE?

But is that what Bush the Younger has done? Repented from the sins of his family? - HARDLY! The very real fact of the matter is, it's EXACTLY the Bush family-background with its elite political and economic connections that Bush the Younger has relied on to pave his way to personal wealth, and eventually into the presidency. For example, take his 1991 deal with Harken Energy Corporation. In January of that year, according to Russell Bowan, Harken signed an oil-production sharing agreement with the government of Bahrain, a tiny island off the east coast of Saudi Arabia. The deal gave Harken the exclusive exploration, development, production, transportation and marketing rights to most of Bahrain's offshore oil and gas reserves. The territories covered by the pact lie sandwiched between the world's largest oil field, off the shore of Saudi Arabia, and one of the biggest natural gas fields off the shore of Qatar.

At the time the deal was announced, oil industry analysts marveled at how this unknown company, with no previous international drilling experience, had landed such a valuable concession. "This is an incredible deal, unbelievable for this small company," Charles Strain, an energy analyst at Houston's Lovett Underwood Neuhaus & Webb, told Forbes Magazine. Not mentioned in the article was that George Bush the Younger sat on Harken's board and was a $50,000-a-year "consultant" to the chief executive officer. Bush also held roughly $400,000 in Harken stock that he had acquired in a sweetheart deal. NOW DOES ONE REALLY THINK THAT BUSH THE YOUNGER GOT HIS SEAT ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF HARKEN OIL - AND $400,000 WORTH OF STOCK TO GO WITH IT - WITHOUT THE INTERVENTION OF HIS FATHER? AND DOES ONE REALLY THINK THAT HARKEN WOULD HAVE GOTTEN SUCH A DEAL WITHOUT BUSH THE YOUNGER SITTING ON ITS BOARD? Come on now! - be honest.

And then there is the matter of Bush's connection to Alan G. Quasha, the son of powerful Philippines lawyer, William H. Quasha. Quasha had been brought into the Harken deal as a director and CEO along with Bush. The Quasha family had been deeply involved in Australia's infamous Nugan-Hand bank. Official Australian government investigations during the late 1970s and early 1980s revealed Nugan-Hand's involvement in drug money laundering and ties to the U.S. military and intelligence community. Nugan-Hand co-owner and vice-chairman, Michael Jon Hand, a Green Beret war hero and CIA operative, was also a "pal of dope-dealers and of retired and not-so-retired military intelligence officials," according to The Crimes of Patriots, by former Wall Street Journal reporter Jonathan Kwitney. In 1977, the Australian Narcotics Bureau released a report detailing Nugan-Hand's involvement in a drug-smuggling network that "exported some $3 billion (Australian) worth of heroin from Bangkok prior to June 1976," according to Australia's Sunday Pictorial.

WHERE IS THERE ANY REPENTANCE HERE?

Wow! - involving himself with drug traffickers? Where is there here - seven years after Bush was supposedly "born-again" - any indication that he has renounced the foul and disgusting Bush-family connections to the NETHER world of his father, his grandfather, or his great grandfather? There is none! - and if there is none, what does that say about his so-called "born-again" experience. It says that it is a FAKE and a FRAUD; a SHAM experience advertised to his naive Christian-base for political gain.

Brothers and sisters in Christ! - listen to me here: it doesn't mean anything for someone to simply say "I'm sorry" while continuing to rely on the FETID "connections" that accrue to him as a result of his family's power and influence. The fact is, Bush is as "tight" with his family as he has ever been. He continues to rely on the very same elite business, CIA, and underworld connections that served his father, and his father's father, and his father's father's father so well - and this is especially true insofar as the family's elite oil connections are concerned.

THE OIL ELITES ANOINT BUSH PRESIDENT

Indeed, it is EXACTLY those oil elite connections that Bush's father was so beholden to that anointed Bush the younger as THEIR man to run for the presidency; and it occurred - as all elite "ceremonies" of this type do - in private when George Schultz, the former president of the giant Bechtel Corporation who had also served as Ronald Reagan's Secretary of State, discreetly approached Bush while he was on vacation in California to say,

"I think you ought to be president. Twenty-five years ago Reagan stood on the same spot, and I said the same thing to him. Now I am saying it to you."

Gail Sheehy, in her incisive article on George Bush the Younger that appeared in Vanity Fair in October, 2000, reports that essentially what happened here was that Schultz "PRIVATELY ANOINTED BUSH PRESIDENT ON BEHALF OF THE AMERICAN ELITES."

If that's so, then what EXACTLY is it that Bush has repented from in his acceptance of Christ. What past associations has he given up, abandoned, or repudiated? None! Again, Bush is as "tight" with his family's repulsive history of evil "goings on" as was his father, and his father's father, and his father's father's father (unto the third and fourth generation) - all the way back to the hideous, stinking, and fetid underbelly of the American BEAST - the same beast that the Bible condemns as "... DREADFUL and TERRIBLE, and STRONG EXCEEDINGLY with great iron teeth: that DEVOURS and BRAKES IN PIECES ..." (Daniel 7:7), and as an "OVERFLOWING SCOURGE" (Is. 28:18) that is seeking to gain mastery over the entire earth and establish a ONE-WORLD EMPIRE (Dan. 7:7) that will bring ruin and poverty to the peoples and nations of the world. FRAUDS AND FAKES

They are - all of them - FRAUDS about whom God said -

"... PROPHESY LIES IN MY NAME; I SENT THEM NOT, NEITHER HAVE I COMMANDED THEM, NEITHER SPAKE I UNTO THEM: THEY PROPHESY UNTO YOU A FALSE VISION, AND A DIVINATION (something from the Devil), AND A THING OF NOUGHT, AND THE DECEIT OF THEIR HEART." (Jer. 14:14)

They are the people of whom Jude spoke when he said:

"... these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

"Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward (in other words, they prophesy for money), and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

"These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

"Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever." (Jude 1:10-13)

When these people say, "Thus saith the Lord" in their churches and assemblies, they are LYING, proving themselves to be EXACTLY what Christ said they were:

"Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do ... When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it." (John 8:44)

BLASPHEMY

Recently, Stephen B. Chapman, an assistant Professor of Old Testament studies at Duke Divinity School, wrote an article for Counter Punch Magazine entitled, "Did Bush Blaspheme?" In the article, Chapman commented on a curious phrase Bush made in his speech to the nation on the anniversary of September 11th. Chapman wrote:

"... in his speech to the nation this year on the anniversary of September 11, he (i.e., Bush) concluded with ... a verse of scripture ... from the New Testament: John 1:5, 'And the light shines in the darkness. And the darkness has not overcome it'. In John, this reference is to Christ ... THE PRESIDENT, HOWEVER, WAS USING THIS VERSE TO REFER TO THE LIGHT OF THE U.S.A. ... The implications of this analogy are somewhat troubling to me ... (because) of the COMPLETELY UNPARALLELED USAGE OF PRESIDENT GEORGE BUSH, IN WHICH THE U.S. IS DESCRIBED WITH LANGUAGE THE NEW TESTAMENT RESERVES TO CHRIST ALONE."

Are Christians blind to all this? Don't they see what's happening? - or have they all become unprofitable servants, because -

"... this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed ..." (Matt. 13:15)

And in them -

"... is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive ..." (Matt. 13:14)

BEHZAD YAGHMAIAN

While watching the noose tighten around Iraq, Behzad Yaghmaian, an international political economist and an Iranian, worries if Iran is next. He writes:

"It's now a cliché to say that the world changed with the September 11 attack on the World Trade Center. But the world did change with the election of George Bush to the presidency of the United States. A new agenda emerged, the old rules of the game were abandoned, and internationally agreed laws and protocols were disregarded. 'With us or against us', emerged as the dominant political discourse. 'Regime change', and 'preemptive strike' became non-contested policies. We witnessed the realization of the 'Empire' so finally articulated by Antonio Negri and Michael Heart.

"Regime change is as old as the empire. The Americans have a long history of forcefully changing governments in other parts of the world. Iran, Dominican Republic, Chile, Nicaragua, and Haiti are but a few examples. What is different now is the open discussion and the overt plans to change another government, and the silence of the other states. Many states, from Europe to Iran and Turkey, have opposed the (coming) attack on Iraq from their own narrow self-interest. None has seriously questioned the emerging world order and challenged the empire. And indeed, many are silently benefiting from the new orthodoxy ...

"A maddening new game has begun. The result is, undoubtedly, increased worldwide violence. We have entered a new era of violence, one that is fueled by a quest for world domination and profiteering. PERPETRATED BY A BAND OF RIGHTOUS AND ARROGANT FUNDAMENTALISTS IN THE UNITED STATES (by which Yaghmaian means evangelical Christians), the recent violence is disguised by the language of democracy, and human rights. It uses the human rights of the Iraqis as a pretext for its war - an attack on the homes of those whose rights are to be defended and protected!

"The new violence has many victims. Not only people's lives, but also their rights are its targets. Aided by the September 11 tragedy, the new violence is wrapped in the language of fighting terror. This too has become a new orthodoxy. Political opponents and critics of nations across the world are labeled supporters of terror. From the United States to the poor countries of the Third World, human rights and civil liberties are under attack."

ANIS SHIVANI

Anis Shivani, whom we have quoted often before on this website, recently wrote for the secular magazine Counter Punch,

"(People in the United States) ... have failed to come to terms with the enormity of the TOTALITARIAN REVOLUTION UNDERWAY IN THE U.S. ... But now the time is at hand to decide once and for all how our individual lives must change in response to the BEAST that has arisen in this country. None of us can wait anymore, to see what will happen next, nor can any of us remain fence-straddlers, quiet objectionists. There should be no more reason to be surprised at events that are scheduled to happen, if there ever was any justification for being caught unawares.

"The disbelief among all those who love this country is understandable, but it is time to move beyond it. WE CAN ONLY ESCAPE INTO OUR PRIVATE SELVES FOR SO LONG; THIS REGIME IS SO BRUTAL THAT SOONER OR LATER THERE WILL BE A KNOCK ON EVERYONE'S DOOR. Not one out of the 300 million people in this country will be left alone. Nobody will escape this vise, this continent-wide dragnet. IF YOU'VE EVER THOUGHT OR SPOKEN OR WRITTEN OR DONE ANYTHING THAT THE DEAR, GREAT LEADER (i.e., President Bush or his lackey John Ashcroft) OF OURS MIGHT NOT FIND ACCEPTABLE, BE AFRAID, BE VERY AFRAID. Make plans now to protect yourself. All the love and good feelings in the world won't be any good if you're chosen to be the target ... (of the government).

"The government has been conducting an unprecedented campaign of psychological warfare against Americans. One understandable response to the barrage of terror is to become numb, hide within our shells. BUT THIS IS A LUXURY THAT WILL NOT BE AFFORDED TO US FOR LONG. Make the decision for yourself, pre-empt their plans for you, before it happens to you and it's too late.

"... The most sweeping set of changes in American history has occurred in two short years, all our cherished freedoms annihilated beyond recognition ... David Corn and Eric Alderman (two radicals that Shivani works with) are not going to be on a train to a gas chamber anytime soon, that's true. But the Iranians and Middle Easterners who dutifully showed up to register with the INS in Los Angeles have had their lives radically disrupted. EXTEND THIS SCENARIO TO 300 MILLION PEOPLE, IN SOME FORM OR OTHER. THE AIM OF THIS REGIME IS TO CLEANSE THE ENTIRE COUNTRY OF UNDESIRABLES, EVENTUALLY INCLUDING ... (JUST ABOUT ANYONE THAT DISSENTS TO WHAT THE GOVERNMENT IS DOING). IN THE NEXT STAGE OF THE CRACKDOWN, BORDERS WILL BE SHUT DOWN, PEOPLE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO LEAVE, AND EMERGENCY POWERS WILL LET THEM (i.e., the government) COERCE US INTO FEELING COMPLETELY NAKED AND EXPOSED.

"... The distinctions between law enforcement, intelligence, and military action will be completely erased, and that will be the most lasting and unalterable part of the transformation; no future government ... will be able to challenge this merger. War against Iraq should prove to be costless to America, and this will boost the president's ratings to stratospheric levels. But should the need arise, there are many other dangerous enemies in waiting: Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Egypt. THE COROLLARY OF EACH NEW BRUTAL CONQUEST ABROAD WILL BE THE RADICAL EROSION OF LIBERTIES AT HOME. By the end of it all, we'll be left with nothing. It seems that a direct crackdown on intellectual dissent - which so far has been delayed as a secondary step - is now about to occur. They won't need to make examples of many people to bring out the full flavor of COWARDICE among the so-called intellectuals; the academics with cushy positions at universities have already bailed out and won't be heard from again under any circumstances. They will join the German university professors of the thirties in the highest ranks of modern cowards ...

"WE ARE NOW LIVING IN POTENTIALLY THE MOST TOTALITARIAN REGIME THE WORLD HAS SEEN ... AND YET LIFE SEEMS TO GO ON AS USUAL ..."

THIS IS THE BEAST

THIS IS THE BEAST THAT THE CHURCH HAS MARRIED ITSELF TO; THIS IS THE BEAST THAT THE CHURCH IS NOW RIDING, AND IN DOING SO, MAKING A MOCKERY OF EVERYTHING CHRIST STANDS FOR.
