AT THE CROSSROADS:
THE ELECTION OF 2004

INTRODUCTION

The election of 2004 is almost upon us, and when you read this article, it will probably only be a matter of days before it occurs.  There is much that this election will tell us, though it probably won't be what most of you think. 

For example, it won't tell us who the Antichrist is, even if Bush wins - though there are a lot of people, if not those on the Religious Right, who think that's exactly who Bush is; specifically, "secularists" on the Left. And who knows, maybe the "secularists" are right, once again giving credence to the Words of Christ when He said,

"The children of this world are wiser in their generation than the children of Light." (Luke 16:8)

Nonetheless, from a Biblical standpoint, only one event will "mark" the Antichrist as such: That person who causes "to prevail" THE TREATY WITH DEATH AND HELL through which Antichrist, as "King of Babylon" (which means - if one concludes that Babylon is the United States – an American president) will guarantee Israel's security in a defense pact against "Gog" (i.e., the forces of "Radical Islam"). It's THIS event, and ONLY this event that will "mark" who the Antichrist is, and simultaneously signify the beginning of the Tribulation period or the "end of days." This isn't to say that we're not close now; very close: THE PRESENCE OF AMERICA'S ARMY IN THE MIDDLE EAST – EXACTLY WHERE IT IS PROPHESIED TO BE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE GOG/MAGOG WAR – IS CERTAINLY A STRIKING INDICATION OF JUST HOW CLOSE WE ARE. WE DON'T WANT TO GET AHEAD OF OURSELVES

Nonetheless, we have to be careful here; we don't want to get ahead of ourselves. That event (i.e., the instigation of the "Treaty with Hell and Death") has not yet occurred, despite the fact that the United States already has a very close (and, indeed, intimate) working relationship with Israel, a relationship which deeply stains the character of the Jewish state in exactly the same way the church's relationship with America has stained its character. Still, as we just indicated, there is as yet no FORMAL treaty relationship between Israel and the United States, and it would seem that such a FORMAL relationship is anticipated by the Scriptures.

There are, in addition, a number of other events that one would assume must proceed the Gog/Magog War and the advent of the "Coming Prince" (i.e., the Antichrist): If it is concluded that the Gog/Magog War will pit the United States and Israel (on the one hand) and "Radical Islam" (on the other hand) against one another, then it follows – given the fact that both Turkey (i.e., Gomer, Beth-Togarmah, etc.) and Egypt are specifically mentioned as participants in the Gog/Magog War on the side of "Radical Islam" and against Israel and the United States - that Egypt and Turkey must fall victim, like Iran and the Sudan already have, to this hateful theology (i.e., "Radical Islam"), and this too has not yet occurred. While it may be true - as things are going now – that such a catastrophe may be only a hair's breadth of time away, it hasn't happened yet. When these twin catastrophes do occur, of course, then "look out," the time is close! But – again – none of this has happened yet.

WHAT THE ELECTION OF 2004 WILL TELL US

What the election of 2004 will tell us, however, is whether we have any "breathing space" between now and the start of the Tribulation period. [Please see Chapter 11 of the Antipas Papers, "Tribulation and Judgment."]  If Kerry wins – and I fervently hope he does, if only because I believe that as Christians we need that "breathing space" (though, of course, God may think otherwise) – then we have some time left to us to more adequately prepare ourselves for the great events that will shortly befall us. Why? - because Antichrist will come to power in league with the "Apostate church," and the secularists of the Democratic Party are certainly not in league with the church – any church, apostate or otherwise. But even here – as I indicated in my article, "$3 Trillion and the Bush, Kerry Campaigns for the Presidency: What It Portends for Us as Christians" –  there are some drawbacks:

"A Bush defeat and a Kerry victory will incite the Christian Right into a red-hot frenzy that will make the anger that gripped Democrats after the Gore victory in 2000 was stolen from them (and it was) seem mild in comparison. The secularists, the abortionists and the homosexuals will be viewed as having stolen the "EMPIRE" – i.e., "GOD'S REDEEMER NATION" - from them.

"The fury will only be enhanced by the inevitable gloating and scornful revelry by the Left against the Christian Right that is bound to accompany any Kerry victory. Democratic moderates, undoubtedly, will try to stop or reduce it as much as possible, but most likely to no avail. The homosexual parades - replete with all the swaggering bravado that accompany such events (i.e., whips, leather, bare butts, gays and lesbians kissing one another) along with all the anti-Christian rhetoric and all the mockery and disdainful sneering that will be heaped on Christian conservatives by the Whoopee Goldberg / Barbara Strisand nexus (and the rest of the Hollywood crowd) will be "over the top." The abortionists will press to outlaw all anti-abortion activity; hate-speech codes directed against the Free Speech Rights of the Christian Right will proliferate; hard-core feminists will gloat at what they perceive to be the defeat of white male supremacy; the secularists will announce the death of Christianity; and the minorities will press for increased "affirmative action" against white males (which means, of course, POOR white males).

"To average Christians (especially average white Christians) who will have to endure this calumny and contempt, it will seem like the end of civilization. [Please see our article, "$3 Trillion and the Bush, Kerry Campaigns for the Presidency: What It Portends for Us as Christians."]

The article continues:

"Moreover, as the war continues, it will slowly be morphed into Kerry's war rather than Bush's war, a Democratic Party war rather than a Republican Party war - a war from which Kerry will be TOTALLY and COMPLETELY unable to extricate himself: The money men in the Democratic Party will simply not permit him to withdraw from Iraq - and should he try, he may very will suffer the same fate that JFK suffered four decades ago when - against the wishes of the elites - he tried to extricate the U.S. from Vietnam - AND KERRY KNOWS IT. It's no secret, no matter how people like Kerry and the elite media try to deny it, why JFK was killed.  "Moreover, as the Iraq war slowly begins to work its measure on Kerry, and the cultural chaos let loose by the Kerry victory begins eating away at the fabric of society, what happened so many years ago in the Weimar Republic in Germany will without question repeat itself here in the United States.

"The fact is, Kerry is a "sitting duck" for the forces that are gathering about him, rubbing their hands gleefully, and hungrily licking their lips for the opportunity to "get in on the kill." And when these forces finally "go for the kill," it will make what happened to Clinton look mild in comparison." ONE THING OFFSETS THE OTHER

Obviously, then, the gain we will receive in additional time that a Kerry victory in the 2004 election will give us, will be OFFSET to a large degree by the fury and rage all this will cause in the Religious Right. And one should remember here that at least initially, it's the Religious Right that will cause Christian dissidents to be persecuted. 

Believe me when I say that there is nothing so hateful to religious bigots than those they perceive to be "turncoats" – which is exactly what those in the Christian Right think of all those associated with Antipas.

THE ANTIPAS MINISTRY WEBSITE IS SPECIAL

So there you have it!  Not a "pretty choice" – kind of like "six of one and half a dozen of the other."  Still, it's the truth, and this website is probably the only place where you will ever receive this truth – AND AS CHRISTIANS, TRUTH IS WHAT WE WANT.  WITHOUT THE TRUTH, WE CAN'T GET OUR "BEARINGS," AND UNLESS WE ARE ABLE TO DO SO, WE WILL BE TOSSED TO AND FRO LIKE A SHIP WITHOUT A RUDDER ON A STORMY SEA, HELPLESS BEFORE THE ONSLAUGHT OF THOSE FORCES THAT CONFRONT US.  

Prophecy is given to us so that we can "get our bearings" and survive the storm that confronts us at the "end of the age," if not physically, then at least spiritually. And isn't that what we all want? In the end, don't we all long to hear those words, "Well done thou good and faithful servant." (Matt. 25:21)  Certainly it is!

It's in that regard that the Antipas Ministry website is a very special place. It contains a body of truth that you can use to "get your bearings" in the "Last Days;" a body of truth that, I dare say, you will find no where else on the World Wide Web, and probably no where else in the entire world – and we are not being conceited in saying that; IT'S JUST THE REALITY OF THE MATTER. After all, ask yourself, Why do YOU keep coming back to this website over and over again? It's certainly not because we are "lovable" people, at least in the way the world counts being "lovable."

If you are like most people, I am sure that one way or another, we have offended you over the years – either in the so-called harsh tones of our articles, or in the uncompromising way we treat the so-called "religious establishment" of today's church. Most Christians aren't used to that, despite the fact that Christ called the leaders of the "established religion" of His day worse things than we have ever dreamed up – i.e., "poisonous snakes," "whited sepulchers," "hypocrites," "fools," etc. (cf. Luke 11:39-52).

I'll tell you why you keep coming back: It's because – put plainly - you can't find articles like these anywhere else.  Indeed, even those who have left the ministry - screeching and caterwauling to "high heaven" that we are "too offensive" and "too uncompromising" - to establish websites that are "more caring of the feelings of others," continue to slavishly refer people back to this website because they are incapable of producing the kind of material that is on it.

And be clear here - they refer you back to this website not because they have any love or care for us personally (you have only to read what they say about us on a purely personal level to understand that), but because – after everything is said and done – they simply do not possess the spiritual insight to produce this kind of material on their own, their protests that we think "too highly of ourselves" notwithstanding. 

The whole thing is laughable, and not a little bit ironic: On the one hand they condemn us personally and by name, and on the other hand they recommend our articles (after, of course, "watering them down" a good deal), as if the author of these articles and the articles themselves can be separated from one another. But, then, these are the charges that those hypocrites – i.e., Hymenaeus and Alexander - charged Paul with, so we are in good company here. (cf. I Tim. 1:19-20 and II Tim. 2:17; 4:14)

COMPROMISING THE WORD OF GOD

What those who think we are too harsh have done is attempt to establish "Antipas Light" websites that endeavor to dilute what they call the "heavy handedness" of the Antipas message and make it more palatable to the effete, sissified Christians of the United States who don't have any idea what it means to "… endure HARDNESS as good soldiers of Jesus Christ" (II Tim. 2:3; cf. II Tim. 3: 10-12).  But the attempt here to "water down" what we have to say on the pages of this website is not only contemptible, but very frightful and dreadful as well, because in doing so these milksops and dotards are "watering down" the truth of the Prophetic Scriptures - and all those who subscribe to their easy-to-swallow pabulum will someday pay a very heavy price for doing so.

Yes! – this website is a very "disquieting" place to visit; but it's – nonetheless – a place where you can find the truth of the Prophetic Scriptures presented to you honestly and candidly, and in a way that shines the light of God's Word on the "goings on" in these tumultuous times; a place where you can find the hidden facts, the cover-up stories, the suppressed voices, and the reality behind the lies of what the elites who control the United States and their lackeys in the Religious Right want to pass off to you as truth.  And most of all, it's a place where you can discover the unseen hand of God at work in the world DESPITE the chaos, injustice and pain that seems to engulf the earth today – and take heart as a result.

THE NEED FOR INSIGHT

As the elites and their BOOT-LICKERS in the Religious Right – leaders like Tim LaHaye, Pat Robertson, Ted Haggert, C. Peter Wagner, D. James Kennedy, Charles Stanley, et. al. - pour out lie after lie to justify the elite's creation of a new National Security State in this country; and as they attempt to defend the elite's policy of endless war where the sons and daughters of average Americans are sacrificed on the altar of profit that the moneyed elites have constructed to the depraved gods who command the destinies of Halliburton, Bechtel, Exxon-Mobil, Boeing, etc.; and as Christians in the United States fall victim one after another to the deception that their political and religious leaders are pawning off on them as fact, THE NEED FOR THE INSIGHT THAT IS CONTAINED IN THE ARTICLES ON THIS WEBSITE BECOMES THAT MUCH MORE INTENSE AND IMPORTANT.

WICKEDNESS CONDUCTED IN THE NAME OF CHRIST

Brothers and sisters, we are living – to put it in the vernacular - in a very "heavy time;" a time when the rulers of both the church and the state in this country are bent on violently reshaping the world politically, economically and religiously, and dominating it as a "New Rome" – ALL IN THE NAME OF CHRIST; it's a time when the poor and dispossessed of the world are being ground down and crushed by the rich of the world – again, IN THE NAME OF CHRIST; a time when complete cities, entire nations and whole populations are being ruthlessly demolished and overturned – once again, IN THE NAME OF CHRIST."

WELCOME TO TODAY'S TWISTED CHRISTIANITY

All this to say: "Welcome to the twisted Christianity of leaders like Paul Crouch, Jack Hayford, the late John Wimber, Juan Carlos Ortiz, et. al. -

• Where Christians partner with the elites to launch ruthless and bloody wars of conquest in the name of the "Prince of Peace;"
• Where a "National Security State" analogous to Hitler's Germany is being imposed on the people by so-called Christians (i.e., George Bush and John Ashcroft) in order to "Secure the nation for Christ;" [Please see our article, "The Watchers are Watching You."]
• Where naked prisoners get shackled together and sexually molested during a crusade to "bring Christianity to the Muslim world;"
• Where Christian who do not subscribe to the mindless rhetoric of the Republican Party elites are "read out" of the Christian community;
• Where success as a Christian is measured by the wealth a person possesses – a measure of "success" that Christ Himself – who said, "Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man hath nowhere to lay His head" (Matt. 8:20) – could not "measure up to;" [Please see our articles, "Capitalism and Christianity" and the "Marxist Paradigm."]
• Where Christians partner with "neo-conservative" celebrities like Paul Wolfowitz, Michael Ladeen, Richard Perle, Douglas Feith, Frank Gaffney, Fred Ikle, Stephen Bryen, John Lehman, Lewis Libby, John Bolton, Peter Rodman, Robert Zoellick, Irvine and William Kristol, Elliot Abrams, Robert Kagen, Midge Decter, Francis Fukuyama, Norman Podhoretz, David Wurmser, Robert Loewenberg, etc. – all of whom endorse to one degree or another the twisted teachings purveyed by the late anti-democratic, sexually debauched elitist Allan Bloom, teachings that form the foundation of the walls of the "neo-con" bastion at the University of Chicago. Bloom taught:
  • Selfish men are thoughtful people (pg. 315 of Bloom's book, Interpretive Essay on the Republic of Plato). [Note: Does that mean that it would be better for those who are to lead America into the "Christian future" (a future that "men of faith" like D. James Kennedy think they are constructing with the help of the "neo-cons") to be men "given over" to selfishness and greed?]
  • The soul in which reason is most developed will abound with thoughts usually connected with selfishness, lust and vice (pg. 377). [Note: Again, what's that say about the nature of the so-called "Christian state" the Religious Right is trying to construct in consort with the "neo-cons?"]
  • If the distinction between friends and enemies, and the inclination to help the former and harm the latter, were eliminated from the heart and mind of man [as Christ taught that it should be (cf. Matt. 5:44-48)], political life in this world would be impossible (pg. 318). [Note: What's that say about the kind of politics that the elites the Religious Right have connected themselves to are practicing in the United States?]
  • One should benefit his friends and remain indifferent to others (pg. 324).
  • It's okay to steal from and kill someone you dislike (pg. 325).
  • Prudence rather than love of the truth must guide the leader's public speech.  It is obvious that a man can love the truth without telling it (pp. 392-395).

THE SUPERMAN TEACHINGS OF FREDERICK NIETZCHE

Bloom embraced the "superman teachings" of Frederick Nietzsche - i.e., that the great majority of men and women in the world are nothing more than debased "subhumans" who must be led like one would lead a "herd of cattle." Nietzche taught that the "herd" requires the "bogeyman" of a threatening God, of punishment in the afterlife, and the "fiction" of moral "right" and "wrong" to be kept "in line."  Without these "illusions," the people (i.e., the "herd") would go mad and run amuck, and the social order would collapse. It is the "supermen" who provide the "herd" with the religious beliefs and moral convictions that the "herd" requires to keep it from stampeding - beliefs and moral convictions that, according to  Nietzche, the "supermen" themselves believe to be lies.

To the "supermen," there is no God, no morality, no good and evil, and – of course – any notion of an afterlife is an old wives' tale. Nietzche said that the "supermen" were "atheistic priests," and their lies were "noble lies."  But they did not act as "priests" out of a sense of benevolence; charity and benevolence were mocked by Nietzche (and Bloom) as unworthy of the "supermen."

THE SUPERMEN REQUIRE DUPES

Nietzche (and Bloom) taught that the "supermen" (i.e., the elites) require dupes (people like Beverley LaHaye, Ern Baxter, Kenneth Copeland, the late Kenneth Hagin, Oral Roberts, Chuck Colson, Robert Stearns, Mike Bickle, Reuven Doron, Che Ahn, Frank Hammond, Cindy Jacobs, Bill Hamon, John Eckhardt, Bobbie Byerly, Dutch Sheets, Jim Goll, John Paul Jackson, James Ryle, Frank Damazio, Ed Silvoso, Carlos Annacondia, Claudio Freidzon, Roger Mitchell, Ted Haggart, Paul Cain, Chuck Pierce, Rick Joyner, Kingsley Fletcher, Jim Laffoon, Barbara Wentroble, ad infinitum, ad nauseum) to rule.

The dupes connect the elites to the "herd" (that's YOU, if you haven't figured that out yet; you're part of the "herd"), "dumb cows" who are encouraged in their belief in religion (i.e., Christianity), morality, patriotism, and public service. The dupes have sold the "herd" out to the elites for money, like Jannes and Jambres. Money has compromised them and made them willing to act as intermediaries between the elites and the "herd."

THE BLIND LEADING THE BLIND

These dupes, ALL of them, are -

"... blind leaders of the blind." (Matt. 15:14)

Paul calls them -

"... false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ." (2 Cor. 11:13)

And what a "job" they have done on Christians in this country! They have convinced them that it is their religious duty to embrace the American New World Order System as if it were God's REDEEMER NATION destined by God to establish God's Kingdom on Earth. Isn't this what they have been doing?  Of course it is!  This is PRECISELY what Charles Stanley is teaching from his pulpit in his series "America at the Crossroads" as the presidential election of 2004 draws near.

Stanley fervently embraces George Bush's "Permanent State of War" and John Ashcroft's construction of a "Gestapo State" as necessary to the purposes of Christ.  Indeed, Stanley would have no trouble agreeing with Lt. Col. Nathan Sassaman, an U.S. battalion Commander in the Iraqi city of Abu Hishma, who says:

"With a heavy dose of FEAR and VIOLENCE ... I think we can convince these people (i.e., the Iraqi people) that we are here to help them." (as reported by the New York Times)

THIS KIND OF THINKING DOESN'T
SQUARE WITH THE SCRIPTURES

Stanley doesn't say, however, how he would square such thinking with the words of Christ when He said,

"… resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

"And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.

"And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.

"Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not away."

"Love your enemies, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you. (Matt. 5:39-42, 44)

Come on now, how do the words of Christ here square with the Religious Right's embrace of Bush's policy of a "Permanent State of War?" 

Listen to me, brothers and sisters! – Christ wasn't kidding around when He said, "… resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also."  He meant it!  He wasn't "stretching the truth" here to make a point!  I know that's not what most Christians want to hear. I didn't want to hear it while I was a soldier in Vietnam or when I was an instructor at the Phoenix School at Vung Tau; but it's nonetheless the truth, and ignoring this truth won't make it go away.

LEADING THE CHURCH STEP-BY-STEP
INTO THE GOG/MAGOG WAR

By embracing Bush's policy of a "Permanent State of War," what Stanley and his cohorts in the Religious Right are doing is creating one of the "necessary" precursors to the "end of the age:" "Wars and rumors of war."  And consider just for a moment how expansive that embrace has become:

• Since 9/11, the U.S. has invaded and occupied Afghanistan and then Iraq. The U.N. isn't responsible for these invasions; the European Community isn't responsible.  The U.S. is! – and ONLY the U.S. The invasion of these countries, under the rubric of the so-called "War on Terror," has opened the way for more direct U.S. domination of the highly strategic and oil-rich area of Central Asia, and the even more strategic and oil-rich Persian Gulf.
• In the name of the "War on Terror," the U.S. government has demanded a license to attack ANYONE who opposes U.S. domination ANYWHERE in the world.  The White House has declared a doctrine of "PRE-EMPTIVE WAR" – claiming the "right" to threaten or launch wars of aggression based solely on so-called "intelligence estimates" of "potential threats" in the near future.
• Forces within the U.S. government have declared that they intend to forcibly reshape the political life and governments of the whole Middle East to conform to U.S. interests.
• The U.S. has established a string of NEW military bases in at least a dozen countries – from Djibouti in Africa, to Uzbekistan in Central Asia, to the Republic of Georgia in the Caucasus, to Camp Bondsteel in the southern Balkans, and to bases in eastern Europe (i.e., Hungary, Slovakia, Lithuania, etc.) which effectively seal off Central Asia and the Middle East from the rest of the world, in particular, from the Europeans, the Russians, the Chinese and the Japanese. • There is an unprecedented global campaign of covert operations – including assassinations, kidnappings, infiltrations, spying, and funding networks of foreign agents – most details of which remain secret for now.  By some counts, the U.S. now has covert and counterinsurgency operations underway in 80 countries.  Some of these operations target Islamic fundamentalist forces. However, most of these operations are really targeted against those forces in America's system of client-states that oppose the American New World Order System that has been imposed upon them. • The U.S. has refused to honor the Geneva Convention on the treatment of POWs – and it has created an international network of interrogation camps, operating largely outside of restraint by law (including the notorious Abu Ghraib Prison in Baghdad and Guantanomo Bay in Cuba). It is now preparing to extend this system of prisons (concentration camps) to the U.S. mainland.
• Within the United States, the banner of "homeland security" has been used to impose a series of fascistic policies and legal changes – including vast new police powers of surveillance, systematic tracking of people, and attempts to mobilize the population in a climate of fear and mutual suspicion.  There has been a deep erosion of fundamental constitutional rights – including the protection from imprisonment without charges, and searches without probable cause. THIS IS NOT A PICTURE OF THE MILLENNIAL KINGDOM

This is NOT the picture of the Millennial Kingdom foretold in the Bible. This is plain enough for anyone to see!  It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out: It's the picture of a "New Rome" bent on launching a permanent state of war to enforce its own global domination. But this juggernaut of church and state – of false Christianity and the American elites – is on a collision course with God. God and the "New Rome" are going to collide - and THIS COLLISION FORMS THE BACKDROP OF THE COMING ELECTION.  THE RESULTS OF THE COMING ELECTION WILL DETERMINE JUST HOW SOON THIS COLLISION WILL OCCUR.

The question is, when this collision occurs, which side will you be on?  There's no middle ground here. Jesus said,

"He that is not with me is AGAINST me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad." (Matt. 12:30)

Now note carefully what this verse implies; it implies ACTION: if you are not ACTIVELY "gathering" with Jesus – if you do nothing – you are counted as one who "scattereth abroad;" in other words, you are counted with those who OPPOSE Christ.  Pretty heavy!

Brothers and sisters, listen to me here! – the Prophetic Scriptures are SCREAMING out to you to take action NOW.  Not tomorrow, not when you – to put it in the vernacular – get your sh-t together, but NOW.  If you wait, you may wait too long.

Moreover, the Bible is calling YOU to "COME OUT." God is going to do a new thing, and it has NOTHING to do with what we today call the church (at least the so-called "church" in the United States), and – moreover - it has NOTHING to do with the United States. 

If YOU want to be a part of what God is doing today, you must "COME OUT."  Jesus said,

"No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse.

"Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved." (Matt. 9:16-17)

To that end, we URGE you to read – and re-read again – our article, "A Plan of Action for Antipas Ministries." Then do everything you can to get involved, and do it before it becomes too late. And – if God grants us mercy, and Kerry wins the upcoming election which results in giving us a little extra time - don't use that extra time as an excuse to dilly-dally. YOU WILL REGRET IT IF YOU DO.
