THE BATTLE FOR AMERICA:
CHRISTIANITY AND THE STATE

Part II
INTRODUCTION:
MYSTERY BABYLON
As we have previously indicated - and as Dwight Pentecost of Dallas
Theological Seminary suggests - the various verses in the Scripture
that refer to "great" BABYLON make it plain that the Bible
has in view something more than just a commercial and political reality;
there is also a religious factor or component in sight here. Pentecost
writes:
"... (in the end of days) we see the whole stage (i.e., the
world) filled with two personalities only: a Beast and
a Woman ..." (cf. Rev. 17:3)
The Beast answers to the civil authority; the woman answers to the
religious authority - and the picture given in the Revelation suggests
the union of these two powers in the "latter days" - A
CONDITION OF THINGS NOT UNLIKE WHAT'S HAPPENING TODAY IN THE ISLAMIC
WORLD - ONLY HERE THE PICTURE DEPICTS THE CHRISTIAN WORLD, and the
"players" are not the mosque and the state, but the CHURCH
and the STATE! And be clear here, were not talking
about some strange "New Age" religion, but one which is clearly
characterized as "Christian" (an apostatized form of Christianity,
no doubt; but, nonetheless, "Christian" as the world counts
"Christian"); and to this, most evangelicals - from Barnhouse,
to Gaebelein, from Chafer to Pentecost, from Ironside to Ryrie - agree.
Many people - especially those who have grown up in this country during
the last twenty or thirty years and who are thus accustomed to thinking
that civil power can be completely separated from religious power -
are puzzled as to why the Bible speaks of two Babylons in the "Latter
Days" - one a religious entity and the other a civil entity. They
seem genuinely bewildered by the picture the Bible uses to portray their
relationship one with the other - a woman (the religious entity) riding
a beast (the civil entity). Why, they ask, does the civil power (the
beast) have need of the religious power (the woman)?
The fact of the matter is, however, there is a fundamental mutual interdependence
between religion and politics, and todays secular society has
been making a grave mistake in believing otherwise. Why? - because civil
power, in the end, must be legitimized, and an appeal to the fickle
and even capricious "democratic will of the majority," while
adequate enough during periods of cultural and economic stability, often
fails to ensure that same stability during periods of turmoil and dislocation
- and that is precisely what the "end of days" is all about - i.e.,
turmoil and dislocation.
RELIGION GIVES SANCTION TO OBEDIENCE
Religion
gives sanction to obedience on the part of ordinary people, and
it legitimizes the exercise of power on the part of rulers. For this
reason, religion has historically been impressed onto all of societys
experiences and actions - from simple family chores to the corporate
activities of the state. The fact is, in most societies religion has
not only been a personal matter, but it has also been a state obligation
and responsibility.
Society organizes itself not so much around legal codes as it does
around culture. Culture sets the real parameters of a society; the legal
codes of that society merely reflect what culture has already determined
to be "right" and "wrong." It provides the underlying
assumptions upon which society is based. But what a culture determines
to be "right" or "wrong" must be anchored by something.
For example, who is to say whether abortion is "right" or
"wrong?" or whether homosexuality is acceptable behavior?
or whether divorce should be condoned or not? or whether a society should
be organized as a patriarchy? or maybe as a matriarchy? One may assert
that he "feels" homosexuality is wrong; that abortion is murder;
and that men should be the head of the family. But thats not enough.
Others may "feel" the exact opposite. And an appeal to philosophy
to end the argument is more often than not futile.
Philosophical or ethical speculation in the absence of some kind of
an anchor has normally proven useless for such purposes. Indeed, all
it seems to accomplish is to further erode "fixity" and stability, the
essential ingredients of the bonds of social existence. In the absence
of an acceptable anchor, philosophical and ethical speculation exists
in a state of perpetual agitation. Should the agitation continue unchecked,
it may lead to the ultimate contempt of all authority.
Moreover, history is full of situations where even an appeal to the
"will of the majority" has not sufficed to establish cultural
parameters. It didnt suffice a century and a half ago with regard
to the question of slavery, where - contrary to popular belief - a majority
of people, both north and south, saw the question of slavery not worth
fighting over. Nonetheless, fight they did - and they were forced to
do so by abolitionists who were anchored in their conviction by religion.
Religious absolutism has, over the long run, a dogged and persistent
way of carrying the day, of ultimately triumphing over people and ideas
which are less solidly based.
Iran, Algeria and the Sudan are only the latest in a long list of societies
which have succumbed or are in the process of succumbing to religious
absolutism - especially in this era of cultural disorder and confusion.
Too often, academicians have shoved religion aside, deeming it not fit
for serious study. But what they have perhaps failed to recognize is
the central - indeed, pivotal - role that religion plays in setting
up a cultures parameters, of fixing its boundaries. In the end,
one finds more often than not that it is religion upon which the cultural
norms of a society are ultimately based, either explicitly as in the
case of Iran, or implicitly as in the case of most of the nations of
the Western World.
ALL GREAT SOCIETIES - ESPECIALLY THOSE WHICH ARE MILITARILY EXPANSIVE
- MUST CLAIM THAT THEIR LEGITIMACY ORIGINATES FROM A "DIVINE MANDATE."
THE COST OF EXPANSION IN BLOOD AND HEARTACHE IS TOO TERRIBLE AND TOO
HEAVY A LOAD FOR AVERAGE PEOPLE (who do not really share in the riches
of conquest, but who, in the end, must do the great bulk of the fighting
and the dying) TO BEAR UNLESS THEY CAN SOMEHOW OR OTHER BE MADE TO BELIEVE
THAT "GOD IS ON THEIR SIDE" - GOTT MIT UNS - AND THAT THEY ARE
ACTING UNDER A "DIVINE MANDATE." The recent ascension of George
Bush to the U.S. presidency with the help of his Religious Right allies
is a huge step on the road to creating (or re-creating) an America that
is as much undergirded by religion as is today's fundamentalist regimes
in Iran, Afghanistan, the Sudan, etc. - and this portends great harm
to the world at large.
WHEN GREAT POWER AND "DIVINE MANDATES" COLLIDE
Think about it! - an America that today is unmatched anywhere in the
world by an enemy acting either alone or in ANY possible
combination believing that it has a "Divine Mandate" to conquer the
world! And there should exist no doubt on the part of any of our readers
as to the ABSOLUTE, COMPLETE and TOTAL
military supremacy of the United States in today's world. Samuel P.
Huntington, Eaton Professor of the Science of Government and Director
of the John M. Olin Institute for Strategic Studies at Harvard University
writes:
"The ... (United States) is now at an extraordinary peak of
power in relation to other civilizations. Its superpower opponent
has disappeared from the map ... The ... (United States) faces no
economic challenge. It dominates international political and security
institutions with Japan [acting largely as a 'copycat' junior partner
- Huntington words] in the international economic arena. Global political
and security issues are effectively settled by ... the United States
(with Britain and France acting as 'junior partners'); and world economic
issues ... (are settled) by the United States (with Germany and Japan
acting as 'junior partners'), all (i.e., the United States, Germany,
Britain, France and Japan) of which maintain extraordinarily close
relations with each other to the exclusion of lesser and largely non-Western
countries." [Samuel P. Huntington, "The Clash of Civilizations,"
in Foreign Affairs, Summer, 1993, pg. 39.]
So great has U.S. domination of the world progressed that decisions
made at the United Nations or in the International Monetary Fund are
essentially U.S. decisions reflecting U.S. values - they are not world
decisions at all. Huntington writes,
"The very phrase, the world community has become
(nothing more than) a euphemistic collective noun ... to give global
legitimacy to actions reflecting the interests of the United States
... (and) through the IMF and other international economic institutions
... (the United States) promotes its economic interests and imposes
on other nations the economic policies it thinks appropriate."
[Huntington, pg. 39.]
The truth of the matter is, most people in the Religious Right have
it all wrong - IT'S NOT SO MUCH THAT THE UNITED NATIONS DOMINATES
AND CONTROLS THE UNITED STATES AS IT IS THAT THE UNITED STATES MANAGES
AND COMMANDS THE UNITED NATIONS! - and while for political reasons
this fact is obfuscated by "political-speak" and diplomatic mumbo-jumbo,
the truth is, the United Nations is much more the "toady" for the United
States than the other way around.
So powerful militarily has the United States become in the affairs
of the world, that THE OTHER NATIONS OF THE EARTH HAVE BEEN REDUCED
TO THE STATURE OF MIDGETS IN COMPARISON, even when acting
in combination against America. Nothing so underlines this fact
as the development of America's "Revolution in Military Affairs" (RMA).
WHO IS LIKE UNTO THE BEAST?
The term "military revolution" was coined by historian Michael Roberts
in 1955 to convey the importance of the changes in military organization
and strategy conceived and implemented by Maurice of Nassau and Gustavus
Adolphus between 1560 and 1660. Usage has since broadened to mean any
epochal shift in military technique, organization, and strategy.
The military revolutions of the past have had a profound impact on the
evolution of domestic society, the balance of power, the conduct of
war, and the prospects for peace. The revolutions initiated by Napoleon
and the German High Command of the 1930s, for example, shifted the balance
of warfare decisively to the offense and made possible France and Germany's
grasp for continental dominion (by France in the early 1800s and by
Germany in the 1930s and '40s).
The revolution in military affairs now in progress is no less far-reaching
in its consequences for the United States (the one and only possessor
of this technology), and the world at large. The technological
bases of the ongoing revolution are (1) the dramatic improvements in
the accuracy and range of weaponry (e.g., the development of "smart
weapons"), (2) the acuity of reconnaissance and surveillance (e.g.,
spy satellites and other reconnaissance aircraft), (3) the ease of deception
(e.g., stealth technology), (4) the ease of suppressing enemy defenses
(again, "stealth technology and the development of "cruise missiles),
and (5) the effectiveness of command and control (which the "computer
revolution" has unleashed). This technology, when implemented effectively
- and, again, only one nation possesses the means and "know
how" of doing this - has the effect of reducing to impotence the
military establishments of the other nations of the earth; hence the
somber warning of Scripture against the proud possessor of this technology:
"... WHO IS LIKE UNTO THE BEAST? WHO IS ABLE TO MAKE WAR WITH
HIM?" (Rev. 13:4)
Ah, but there is a catch. To use such force decisively,
a nation must possess the willingness to use that power - and use it
MERCILESSLY. It's one thing to possess such power, it's
quite another to possess the ruthlessness necessary to use it effectively.
The fact is, populations are not normally pre-disposed to annihilating
neighboring populations. Murder and slaughter are not activities easily
embarked upon. There has to be a reason - a COMPELLING
reason.
THE IMPORTANCE OF RELIGION
And that is exactly where religion comes in! - it's religion
that provides the "compelling reason" necessary to the RUTHLESS
exercise of great power. That's precisely what makes the ascension of
George Bush (UNDERGIRDED AS HE IS BY THE RELIGIOUS RIGHT)
to the presidency so pregnant with significance, and in this connection
it is important to note that it's not so much George Bush himself that
should be the cause of concern as it is the people with whom Bush has
so very unambiguously made common cause: the Religious Right.
THE RELIGIOUS RIGHT BELIEVES THAT IT HAS SUCH A MANDATE.
Commenting on the connection between religion and the use of great
power, Russian dissident Alexander Solzhenitsyn has remarked,
"To do evil a human being must first of all believe that what
he's doing is good ...
"Ideology (or theology) - that is what gives devildoing its
long-sought justification and gives the evildoer the necessary steadfastness
and determination. That is the social theory which helps to make his
acts seem good instead of bad in his own and others' eyes, so that
he won't hear reproaches and curses but will receive praise and honors."
"A social theory which helps to make one's acts seem good instead of
bad in one's own eyes, so that one won't hear reproaches and curses
but will instead receive praise and honors" - Solzhenitsyn hit it on
the heard! And the extent to which the Religious Right subscribes to
its own MESSIANIC image can be measured by the way it
portrays America's history to the world as a succession of righteous
acts. God and America! Church and state! - these are the watchwords
of the Religious Right. The belief by countless numbers of American
Christians that America is, in its origins, institutions, history, and
international conduct, GOD'S CHOSEN NATION "... henceforth to
lead in the regeneration of the world ..." (as Senator Beveridge once
said) is something few in the Religious Right doubt. Commenting on this,
Michael Parenti has written,
"A nation which has spent the better portion of its history captivated
by its own CHOSEN PEOPLE mythology will have
little difficulty in believing it is preeminently qualified to uplift
mankind. THIS SALVATION IMPULSE IS COMPOUNDED WHEN NATIONAL VIRTUE
IS WEDDED TO NATIONAL POWER, FOR AMERICANS THEN BEGIN TO SEE PROOF
OF THEIR DIVINE CALLING IN THE VERY POWER WHICH ENABLES THEM TO THRUST
THEMSELVES UPON OTHERS."
THE MESSIANIC IMPULSE
The urge towards a MESSIANIC impulse - the urge that
has now culminated in the ascension of George Bush to the presidency
(which is not to say that Bush himself is the ultimate end of this process)
- has been building for years in the United States, propelled mainly
by elements analogous to those in Iran that catapulted that nation towards
religious fundamentalism in the late 1970s: (1) those in the rural heartland
who feel that they have been left out of the country's new, "high-tech"
economic revolution, and (2) suburbanite "Christians" in America's metropolitan
areas who - while they might have given up on Christ's injunction against
wealth in this world [i.e., "Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon
earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through
and steal: but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither
moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor
steal ..." (Matt. 6:19-20)] - have been appalled at the moral breakdown
of the nation over the past forty years.
These are the kind of "Christians" who flock weekly to America's new
mega-churches presided over by such charismatic (and very authoritarian)
personalities as the late John Wimber, James Robison, James Kennedy,
Charles Stanley, Jack Hayford, etc. and who hold out the promise to
"people of faith" that they can have their Christianity and a "spirit-filled"
life - all that AND their SUVs, their split-level homes,
their IRAs and 401Ks, their trips to Disney World and the Cayman Islands,
etc.
Both groups [i.e., (1) those in America's rural heartland who have
been left out of the economic boom of the last twenty years or so, and
(2) suburbanite Christians] believe in America's "Manifest Destiny,"
and both believe that America has been prevented from fully attaining
that destiny by the Satanic forces of "Secular-Humanism."
THE RAGE IN THE AMERICAN HEARTLAND
Insofar as the first group is concerned (i.e., the rural group), one
can begin to get an idea of how widespread the conservative reaction
has been that has taken hold on that portion of the population by examining
the results of the 2000 election for the U.S. presidency. Republican
Party candidates - spouting a militant Religious Right rhetoric - carried
all of America's rural heartland, essentially an area which stretches
from 100 miles east of the West Coast (where liberal bastions like Los
Angeles, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle are situated) to about
50 miles west of the East Coast (where "open-minded" and multiculturally
oriented strongholds like Boston, New York, Baltimore, Washington, and
Miami are located) and from the Canadian border in the north to the
Mexican boundary in the south with only a smattering of "diversity-minded"
urban areas in-between (such as Phoenix, Albuquerque, Denver, Minneapolis-St.
Paul, Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis, etc.). [Please see the county-by-county
map of returns on page 38 of Newsweek Magazine, dated January
22, 2001.]
This is an area where people - to the horror and bewilderment of America's
liberal metropolitan areas - carry NRA membership cards in their wallets,
kids get out of school for the first day of hunting season, pickups
are in abundance, and where people see the Clinton-Gore years as a depraved
and corrupt assault on God-fearing, white Christians, and on "religious
values" like school prayer, abortion, women in the military, etc. This
is Bush country! - and America's liberal community should have seen
it coming!
The first clue as to the extent of the rage that has now taken hold
in rural America occurred in Oklahoma City in 1995 where the federal
office building there was bombed, killing 168 innocent people and shattering
the cultural complacency of those who resided in America's liberally-oriented
metropolitan areas and who had thought that they had won the "Culture
War." These were people who actually believed that all that was left
for them to do was "mop up" the few "rednecks" left who had not yet
succumbed to multiculturalism, "diversity" and the triumphant female
warriors of militant feminism.
Instead, what had occurred, according to Joel Dyer, editor of the Boulder
Weekly and author of numerous investigative stories on America's
farm crisis, was that a vast, seething "revolutionary movement" (Dyer's
words) FAR GREATER AND MUCH MORE MASSIVE THAN URBAN AMERICANS HAD
EVER IMAGINED POSSIBLE, had taken hold there; a movement that is
unalterably committed to wresting the country back from the grip of
the United Nations which they believe has captured the nation, and returning
America to "Christ and the church" - AND IT'S PEOPLE IN THESE AREAS
THAT CARRIED THE DAY FOR BUSH IN THE 2000 ELECTION.
AN ANTI-LIBERAL, CONSPIRACY-ORIENTED MILITANCY
The anti-liberal, conspiracy-oriented militancy of people who live
in America's heartland areas is breath-taking to those who have never
really been exposed to it.
Nonetheless, the fact is, the people who live there and believe that
they have lost everything that had meaning in their lives (socially
and/or economically) eagerly embrace scenarios like the Illuminati Myth
that purport to explain what is happening. Such scenarios and other
conspiratorial rhetoric provide an easily understandable, "black and
white," "us vs. them" explanation of what's happening that seems to
fit each person's particular circumstance and helps him or her to hang
on against what the perceive to be tidal wave of godlessness emanating
out of the United Nations.
This kind of "Movement Thinking" offers such people the hope of restoring
order and justice to the confusing world around them. It reaches them
at the very roots of their belief system, invoking God, patriotism,
family values, and a nostalgic view of what they think America used
to be like. It tells them that they are not to blame for their predicament.
It provides them with scapegoats for their rage in the form of Jews,
secular-humanists, the IRS, the UN, the Illuminati, the CFR, the Tri-Lateral
Commission, the Bilderbergers, etc.
Liberals - by telling such people to ignore this rhetoric and to believe
that their only real alternative to bring about change is to use their
votes - are being very, very naive here. Most rural Americans are no
longer willing to choose between one corporate-sponsored, millionaire
attorney and another when it comes to electing their representatives.
They charge that that's how they got where they are in the first place.
Dyer reports on how such people in the country's rural areas have been
recruited to the movement to take America back for "Christ and the church."
He cites a conversation he had with an undercover investigator while
researching his book:
"At first someone will stumble across a flyer or a pamphlet that
says something pretty innocuous like 'taxes are too high' or 'abortion
is murder', something like that. There's usually an address for more
information or maybe a date for an upcoming meeting.
"When people attend their first meeting, they usually seem pretty
skeptical about what they're hearing, stuff like Jews (which most
believe are the agents of "godless internationalism") have taken over
the banks and government and that Americans have to prepare to go
to war against the government. But the group treats them really nice
and they (i.e., the recruits) can tell there's a lot of camaraderie
among the people. Most times they'll come back for more meetings.
It's a very social thing.
"After they've been coming for a while, you can watch 'em change.
They start buying into everything that's said, no matter how ludicrous.
They start spending all their free time with other members of the
group. All they hear is conspiracy talk, and everyone around them
believes it, so they do, too.
"After a while, a person who was just a little ticked off about taxes
is building up an arsenal in his basement. It happens all the time.
Once you join that culture, you just go deeper and deeper." (Harvest
of Rage, pg. 70)
And its just not farmers, but laid-off factory workers and others who
are succumbing to the movement to take America back for "Christ and
the church." At an ever-quickening pace, people of all backgrounds within
the country's growing pockets of "left out" Americans are being persuaded
to join in the battle against a multicultural future that's threatening
to put an end to their preferred way of life. "The Movement" is seen
as a protector of nostalgia in the decaying world of rural America and
similar pockets of depression in America's urban landscape.
THE MOVEMENT'S THEOLOGY
The theology that is being fed into these groups is precisely the theology
that undergirds such "Movement" leaders as Pat Robertson and James Dobson.
Most in "The Movement" would have little trouble in subscribing to what
Robertson wrote in his book, New World Order,
"Satan knows that a world government (which most believe is
the United Nations) must soon be prepared for the man whom he is preparing
to receive his particular empowerment and authority. Such a world
government can come together only after the Christian United States
is out of the way. After all, the rest of the world can federate
any time it wants to, but a vital, economically strong, Christian
United States would have at its disposal the spiritual and material
force to prohibit a worldwide satanic dictator from winning his battle.
With America still free and at large, Satans schemes will
at best be only partially successful. From these shores could come
the television, radio, and printed matter to counter an otherwise
all-out world news blackout. An independent America could point out
Satans lies. If America is free, people everywhere can hope
for freedom. And if America goes down, all hope is lost to the
rest of the world."
THE STRUGGLE THEN - according to "Movement" adherents - IS
TO PRESERVE AMERICA FROM THE EVIL MACHINATIONS OF THE NEW WORLD ORDER
WHICH THEY SEE AS BEING CENTERED IN THE UNITED NATIONS. If America
can be preserved, then Satan is doomed. If America falls, then all hope
is lost. SO THE STRUGGLE THAT "MOVEMENT" ADHERENTS SEE IN THE "END
OF DAYS" IS THE STRUGGLE FOR AMERICA. TO "MOVEMENT" ADHERENTS, IT'S
ALL ABOUT AMERICA. IT'S AMERICA THAT COUNTS. It's here that the
struggle will be won or lost.
WHAT A DECEPTION ALL THIS IS!
But what a deception all this is! The United Nations commands no armies.
It has no navies. It has no real budget. It's nothing more than what
the United States is willing to allow it to be. There is no real power
there. The U.N. is nothing more than a mask for U.S. machinations -
a convenient facade for the U.S. to hide behind as it pursues its own
narrow interests in the Middle East, the Balkans, Africa, Asia and elsewhere.
And the same is true insofar as NATO, the Organization for American
States (the OAS), the WEU, the EC and all the rest of them!
The fact is, all of these organizations are nothing more than creations
of the United States - including the EC. The very real truth of the
matter is, the driving force behind the creation of the EC itself was,
and is today, corporate interests in the United States that want to
do business in Europe unhindered by a plethora of national legislatures
that are - in the end - subservient to the will of the people that elect
them. The EC is the device American corporate interests created to bypass
these legislatures, most of which were controlled by left-wing constituencies.
The sad reality is, the EC is nothing more than a body of business-oriented
bureaucrats in Brussels answerable to no national legislative bodies
and subservient only to the business interests of multi-national corporations
centered largely in the United States. And here one needs to be clear
about something: the biggest stock holders in many of Europe's largest,
best-known corporations are American business interests.
One needs to understand that that's the reason the United States has
pushed so strongly over the years to disassociate Europe's corporations
from government control there. The reason was so that American business
interests could buy into these corporations. That is what "privatization"
on an international level is all about! - opening up European, Latin
American and Japanese businesses to U.S. control. And in the end, that's
precisely what U.S. corporate interests are ultimately aiming at in
China and Russia.
When one hears, for example, about Daimler Benz taking control of Chrysler
(or any other such similar "deals"), one should not think that that
necessarily means that the Germans are buying into an American corporation,
but rather that Americans, operating behind Daimler Benz, are buying
into Europe and the East.
You doubt? - well, just stop for a moment and think about what happened
there! Who really has control of what now? Before going into the deal
with Chrysler, Americans already had a huge stake in Daimler - a stake
that American corporations secured for themselves shortly after the
end of the Second World War when Germans (and British, and French, and
Italians, etc.) were desperate for American investment and capital.
At the time the Daimler / Chrysler deal was struck, Americans didn't
have a majority share in Daimler - but close to it. Now that Chrysler
has been thrown into the mix, Americans control well over fifty-one
percent of the new, combined corporation.
The Daimler-Benz / Chrysler marriage had very little to do with "rationalizing"
production or any other such thing, and everything to do with American
CONTROL of Daimler and the concomitant positioning of
American corporate interests in preparation for the ECONOMIC RAPE
of Eastern Europe. One needs to remember that it's not whose name appears
on the corporate stationary, or what language is spoken at the corporate
headquarters, or whether the CEO is German or American or British that
means anything. What counts is who are the main shareholders.
My, how easily people are thrown off track! And what's true of the
Daimler deal is true of almost everything else that has been going on
in Europe since the end of the Second World War - or does one really
think that American corporate interests opened up the giant American
market, funded the Marshall Plan, established NATO, pushed the creation
of the EC and all the rest for altruistic purposes? If so, I have a
bridge I would like to sell them in Brooklyn. And that's true of Volvo,
Renault (which was for years and years a government-owned French company,
now "privatized"), Shell, Opel, Bayer, etc.
Moreover, insofar as the EC constituting a military threat to the United
States, one has only to understand that the strongest military in Europe
is not the new, funky and somewhat ludicrous "Euro-Corps" that has recently
been created, or the German, or the French, or the British, or the Italian
militaries, but the United States army (and navy and air force) in Europe!!
IT'S THE U.S. ARMY IN EUROPE THAT COUNTS! - NOTHING ELSE!
And why, exactly, are U.S. troops there? After all, who are they supposed
to be defending Europe against? - the now defunct Soviet Union? China?
What? No! Obviously, the troops are there to protect American corporate
interests.
Is it so hard to understand what the real reason is they are there
ten years after the collapse of the Soviet Union? No! - of course not!
It's pretty obvious! But most Americans refuse to see the obvious; and
European corporate interests help by doing everything in their power
to keep the truth from the European public. The truth is, European businesses
are now so tightly connected to American corporate interests that it
is difficult any longer to tell which companies in this mix are authentically
American and which companies are authentically European; there really
is no difference anymore.
THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER
NOW ALL THIS IS THE REAL TRUTH OF THE MATTER. IT'S THE U.S.
THAT IS THE ECONOMIC SCOURGE OF THE WORLD. [Please see our articles
on the American Empire," and the "American System of Client States."]
It's the U.S. elites, with a smattering of European and Japanese participation
together with the help of subservient "client-state" elites, that control
the world. WHEN CHRISTIANS BUY INTO THE MYTHOLOGY OF PAT ROBERTSON
AND JAMES DOBSON - i.e., that it's the U.N. that is the real bugaboo
- AND WHEN THEY CHASE MYTHOLOGICAL SHADOWS LIKE THE ILLUMINATI AND TRY
TO MAKE SOMETHING OUT OF THE UNITED NATIONS THAT IT IS NOT, CHRISTIANS
ARE THROWN TOTALLY OFF THE TRACK OF WHAT'S REALLY HAPPENING AND ARE
MADE TOOLS OF THE CORPORATE ELITES.
In the end, by trying to rescue America for "Christ and the church,"
what they may very well find themselves doing is participating in the
construction of the very "New World Order" that they say they despise.
Thinking to do good, they are doing GREAT evil and have
joined themselves to the very anti-Christ system of the "end of days"
that they say they are opposed to. In the end, Christianity - an apostatized
form of Christianity, no doubt, but Christianity, nonetheless - will
bring in the Anti-Christ.
Despite all this, however, the Christian warriors of Pat Robertson,
Tim LaHaye, James Dobson, Charles Stanley, D. James Kennedy, Jack Hayford,
etc. soldier on in their effort to protect America for "Christ and the
church," and with each passing day they are being ever more radicalized.
More and more, the followers of Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, D. James
Kennedy, Charles Stanley, etc. are buying that much more into the mindset
that what the tribulation is all about is an INTENSE STRUGGLE BETWEEN
THE FORCES OF SATAN (i.e., "secular-humanists" based in the murky
corridors of the United Nations) AND THE FORCES OF GOD (i.e.,
"people of faith") FOR CONTROL OF AMERICA. In the end,
we are being led into a trap where many will find that there is no way
out for them once they are entangled in it.
More next time!
God bless all of you.

eschatological viewpoint it represents; WE NEED YOUR
HELP BECAUSE WE DO NOT "LINK" WITH OTHER SO-CALLED "CHRISTIAN"
WEBSITES which are, for the most part, "in the tank"
insofar as their loyalty to the United States is concerned
- a loyalty that has made them partners in the BLOODY
trail the American military has left in its TERROR-RIDDEN
rampage throughout the world, as well as making them partners
in the abject poverty that American corporations have
imposed on the peoples and nations the American military
machine has ravaged - A BLOODY, TERROR-RIDDEN RAMPAGE
THAT HAS TO A LARGE DEGREE BEEN CARRIED OUT IN THE NAME
OF THE "PRINCE OF PEACE." [Please see our articles,
"The Third World
as a Model for the New World Order," Inside
the American New World Order System" and "The
American Empire: The Corporate / Pentagon / CIA / Missionary
Archipelago."]
