ETHNIC FURIES IN THE
WESTERN HEMISPHERE

INTRODUCTION

Most people in the United States are fixated - and not without reason - on the Middle East and the emergence there of Islamic Fundamentalism as a potent "civilization challenge" to the West, and most particularly to the American New World Order System. Islamic Fundamentalism has proved to be a powerful, cohesive force in uniting a huge and otherwise multi-ethnic portion of the earth - one that stretches from Morocco in the west to Indonesia in the east - against the brutal machinations of the American elites.

There is, however, another challenge that is emerging south of America's border that - because of its proximity to the American homeland - may ultimately prove to be just as much a "civilization challenge" to the American New World Order System as the one posed by Islamic Fundamentalism. And while it may not possess the biblical significance that the Islamic challenge possesses, it may prove in the end to be just as lethal to the American system, and just as intractable.

The cohesive force behind this challenge - called the "Bolivarian Process" (named after Simon Bolivar, the "George Washington" of Latin America) - is a strange mixture of RACE and socialism that pits the "indigenous peoples" of Latin America under the banner of socialism against "white domination" flying the flag of the American New World Order System. In the first instance RELIGION (i.e., Islam) is the cohesive force uniting the various "players" against the American elites; in the second instance RACE (the indigenous peoples of Latin America) coupled with socialism is the unifying element.

THE GREED AND AVARICE OF THE AMERICAN ELITES

One should understand, however, that underlying both challenges to the American New World Order System is a fundamental revulsion by every-day people - every-day people in both the Islamic World and Latin America - to the bloodsucking avarice of the American elites. Moreover, one should be cognizant of the fact that the avarice of the American elites toward the resources of Latin America is every bit as rapacious and brutal as the avarice of these same elites toward the oil wealth of the Islamic World.

The truth is, the brutish economic policies pursued by the American elites in their slave-states south of the border - e.g., the confiscation of peasant lands by multi-national agricultural and mining interests, the forced sale of public assets in these countries for pennies on the dollar (forests, water rights, mining rights, local industries, etc.) to American multi-national companies or their agents - is breathtaking in its enormity, and so much so that over 80 percent of the resources of Latin America are now owned either outright by American multi-national corporations or by their European proxies, or by indigenous "front organizations" controlled by the American elites.

This on-going confiscation of the wealth of the people of Latin America has virtually stripped average people there of their ability to make a living. Take, for instance, what Glamis Gold, a so-called "Canadian" company whose shareholders are mostly American "richy-riches" (and whose corporate headquarters, strangely enough, is in Reno, Nevada) did to the people of Guatemala. 

THE MACHINATIONS OF GLAMIS GOLD IN GUATEMALA

As reported by Cyril Mychalejko in Z Magazine, Glamis Gold was given a $45 million loan from the World Bank (the WB) - one of the three pillars of the American New World Order System, the other two being the WTO (the World Trade Organization) and the IMF (the International Monetary Fund) - to construct and operate a gold and silver mine in San Marcos, 90 air miles from Guatemala City in the country's western highlands. Two of the towns directly affected by the project were San Miguel Ixtahuacan and Sipacapa, whose populations were 98 percent and 77 percent indigenous respectively.

According to Prensa Libre and Vox Latina Institute, ninety-five percent of the populations in the area opposed the mining project. Nonetheless, the lands on which these people made their living as subsistence farmers were ruthlessly confiscated by the lackey elites of the Guatemalan puppet government and in essence handed over to Glamis. The evicted peasants were forced off the land and into the dingy slums of Guatemala City as "human trash;" and those whose lands were peripheral to the mining operations of Glamis Gold were forced to stand aside and endure the savage destruction of their environment, and the cyanide poisoning of their drinking water by the mining operations.

Similar mining operations are going on all over Latin America - displacing thousands and thousands (indeed, millions and millions) of peasants and forcing them to move as so much "flesh and bone rubbish" to the huge shanty towns and slums that surround cities like Rio de Janeiro, Mexico City, Sao Paolo, Guatemala City, Bogota, etc. All this to say nothing about how the operations of giant First World agri-businesses like Swift and Company, Cargill, Monsanto, etc. are similarly expropriating peasant farm land and "relocating" the displaced peasants to the urban slums of Latin America, there to rot like so much garbage in a putrid landfill.

IT'S NOT AS THOUGH THE POOR IN LATIN AMERICA
DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT'S HAPPENING TO THEM

Now it should be understood here that - contrary to the thinking of most Americans - these peasants are not "dummies." They are well aware of what's been happening to them, and that it is the greed and avarice of the American elites and the multi-national corporations they control that has made life so miserable for them. For example, MST - an organization of landless peasants - has been founded in southern Brazil to organize against the First World agri-businesses that have made life so wretched for them.  Their views on what's happening to them are well articulated, and they have a clear understanding of the "plantation farming system" that has been forced on them by the rapacious greed of the American elites - turning vast amounts of land to the production of "cash crops" for export to Europe and the United States as coffee, sugar cane, fruit, lumber, cattle grazing, flowers, cocoa (for chocolate)  - and ipso facto, taking the same amount of land out of the production of food for the indigenous people of the area.

And in all of this, one should not think that the profits from these agricultural products find their way back into the pocket books of the indigenous people of the area; they don't. Rather they are funneled into the coffers of the ultra rich in the United States and their lackeys in Europe. For example, a 132 pound bag of coffee (60 kg) sells for $335.00 in the United States, of which only one penny finds its way back into the hands of the people who actually grew and picked the crop. Think about that: ONE PENNY in every $335.00!

This is RAW GREED writ large, and the indigenous peoples in Latin America know it. It is against this kind of greed that the Bible thunders:

"Go to now, ye rich men [i.e., the elites of North America], weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.

"Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.

"Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together FOR THE LAST DAYS.

"BEHOLD, THE HIRE OF THE LABOURERS WHO HAVE REAPED DOWN YOUR FIELDS, WHICH YOU HAVE FRAUDULENTLY KEPT BACK FROM THEM, CRIETH: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.

"Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.

"YE HAVE CONDEMNED AND KILLED THE JUST; and he doth not resist you." (James 5:1-6)

MST TELLS THE TRUTH TO THE PEOPLE

MST, however (as well as countless other peasant organizations like MST), is determined to tell the truth about what's happening. They are those about whom the Bible says 

"BEHOLD, THE HIRE OF THE LABOURERS WHO HAVE REAPED DOWN YOUR FIELDS, WHICH YOU HAVE FRAUDULENTLY KEPT BACK FROM THEM, CRIETH: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth." (James 5:4)

In small classes, meetings and assemblies, and through their newspaper, Jornal Dos Trabalhadores Sem Terra; their magazine, Revista Sem Terra; and numerous pamphlets, MST informs its base about what's happening through a well-planned program of political education - explaining to them in detail how they are being cheated and impoverished by the American New World Order System. They have even established schools in their encampments, settlements and cooperatives to instruct their base as to what's occurring.

This instruction is translating itself into action: For example, in a draft document on the "Fundamental Principles for the Social and Economic Transformation of Rural Brazil" directed at the "people of Brazil," MST has taken special note of how the economic policies of the American New World Order System has led to the increased consolidation of land and wealth in the hands of those who have sold Brazil out to the North Americans, and how these same policies have led to the impoverishment of the great majority of the Brazilian people.

The document calls for the people of Latin America to challenge the greed and avarice of the "Colossus of the North" - and the "people of Brazil" are beginning to do so: From taking over large estates owned by the corporate interests of the American elites; constructing black plastic-covered encampments along the side of the road to call attention to their demands; and even marching and staging confrontations when necessary. At times they have been brutally repressed, their leaders assassinated and imprisoned; yet still they persevere. Moreover, their tactics are being copied everywhere in Latin America - from the tin mines and gas fields in Bolivia, to the copper mines in Chile, to Latin America's giant fruit and coffee plantations.

A POPULIST RAGE AGAINST THE
AMERICAN NEW WORLD ORDER SYSTEM

The anger of the people of Latin America against the oppressive economic policies of the American New World Order System is rapidly morphing into a "populist rage" against the lackey elites that the Americans have installed in their puppet states south of the border - inspiring whole communities to opt out of "government control." Take what's happening in southern Mexico, in a region of land scarcity and government-controlled death squad activity. 

When the Mexican government sent in troops to force the evacuation of peasant farmers from the region so that the land could be turned over to the control of huge North American corporate mining and agri-business combinations (specifically, President Vicente Fox's much-publicized "Plan Puebla-Panama Project"), the people of the area turned to the Zapatista Army of National Liberation (EZLN) and "opted out" of government control and began forming autonomous governments.

Similar populist movements against the governments of America's lackey elites in South and Central America are spreading like wildfire - taking root in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.

THE EMERGENCE OF PRESIDENT HUGO CHAVEZ OF
VENEZUELA AS A "POPULIST CHAMPION" OF THE PEOPLE

These various "grass-roots" movements of the people of Latin America have begun coalescing around the emergence of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez who has arisen as a vexing and potentially dangerous adversary for the United States - an adversary who has developed close ties to Cuba and is now generously subsidizing the island's economy. In addition, Chavez has championed the rise of Evo Morales in Bolivia - who is now threatening to "socialize" the Bolivian economy and disinvest Bolivia's rich natural gas fields and tin mines of their foreign owners - specifically the American elites and their European lackeys. All of this, coupled with the re-emergence of Daniel Ortega and the Sandanistas in Nicaragua is causing much alarm in the board rooms of America's multi-national corporations in New York - and well it should!

Chavez, buoyed by Venezuela's enormous oil wealth, has launched Petrocaribe, an energy alliance designed to deliver subsidized oil from Venezuela to the small states of the Caribbean, and has also begun financing Telesur, a regional news network intended to compete with the BBC's and CNN's Spanish-language programs; and all these anti-American initiatives are but a small example of the "mischief" that Chavez has been up to in Latin America.

Venezuela and the United States have repeatedly clashed at the Organization of American States (OAS) and other regional institutions. For example, in 2005 when President Bush and the hemisphere's 33 other elected presidents and prime ministers traveled to Mar del Plata, Argentina, for the fourth Summit of the Americas, violent anti-American demonstrators filled the streets. Chavez was the only head of state to join the protesters, although Evo Morales (now President of Bolivia, but then only a candidate for the office) joined him. His raging polemics fired up the crowds and revealed his political reach and popularity in the region.

REVOLUTION AS A LAST RESORT OF THE PEOPLE

In the face of all this unrest, it certainly could be said that the people of Latin America are ripe for revolution. But Revolution is a very difficult, dangerous and bloody undertaking, not something casually entered upon, especially a "people's revolt" - a revolt from the bottom up. This is not what happened during the American Revolution. The American Revolution had the support of America's "indigenous elite:" the merchants of New York, Boston, and Philadelphia, and the planter elites of Virginia, the Carolinas, etc.

Very few "people's revolts" are - in the end - successful - perhaps only five: (1) the French Revolution of 1789, (2) the Russian Revolution of 1917, (3) the Mexican Revolution of 1911, (4) the Chinese Revolution of 1949, and (5) the Cuban Revolution of 1959. And of these revolutions, two (the French and Russian Revolutions) ultimately came to nought; two (the Mexican and the Chinese Revolutions) were co-opted), and only one remains viable: the Cuban Revolution.

IMMIGRATION AS A "SAFETY VALVE"

As a result, revolution is a LAST RESORT, especially when there is a possible "safety valve" through which the people can find an escape from their misery. That "safety valve" is IMMIGRATION to the United States - a safety valve that the American elites have surreptitiously and furtively encouraged as a means:

1. To protect their vast investments in Latin America from the fires of revolution.

2. To depress wages in the United States and destroy their union adversaries.

Estimates are that there are now upwards of 30 MILLION (not the 10-12 million, or even the 20 million that are "advertised" in the press) "illegal immigrants" in the United States - most of them from Latin America. Immigration to the United States is the much preferred option of the people of Latin America - and, as we just suggested, it is an option that the elites are more than willing to encourage, and to HELL with the plight of WHITE, native-born American workers (and black for that matter) who suffer as a result - giving the lie to any belief that the elites are interested in "patriotism" as such.

What do they care if their workers are black, brown, or white; or whether they are "illegal immigrants" or native-born Americans - JUST AS LONG AS THEY ARE CHEAP, and that the money they save using cheap labor flows into their pockets rather than the pockets of their workers. This is surely what Tyson Food thinks, what the Hilton, the Wyndham, the Marriot, etc. hotel chains believe; what Monsanto, Cargill, Archer-Daniels Midland, believe; what Wallmart believes, ad nauseum, ad infinitum.

THEY ARE EVERYWHERE!

The fact is, as these economic refugees pour across America's southern border, they cannot help but depress the wages of American workers; they cannot help being used as a battering ram by the elites against the country's unionized workers - an army of unemployed workers able and willing to act as "scabs" wherever and whenever American workers go out on strike; they cannot help but strain already underfunded social services. As a result of all this, they have had a profound and very disheartening effect on the bottom two-fifths of America's workers - and the fact that you may not realize this only indicates that you are not a part of this portion of the population.

And make no mistake about it, they are EVERYWHERE - these illegal immigrants: on construction sites, as maids and janitors in even the best hotels and motels, as short-order cooks, as gardeners, as day-laborers standing on corners for jobs, as garment industry workers, as employees in the meat packing and poultry industry, in every nook and cranny of the services industry, ad nauseum, ad infinitum. And in this connection, it should be noted that the vast majority, numerically speaking, of those who inhabit the bottom two-fifths of the population are working-class WHITES; people that "establishment types" - i.e., "centrist" Democrats and "centrist" Republicans (there is, after all, very little difference between "moderate" Democrats and "moderate" Republicans) - call "poor whites" or "trailer park trash."

THE LOWER TWO-FIFTHS OF AMERICA'S WORK FORCE
ARE  RAPIDLY BEING EXPELLED FROM THE MIDDLE CLASS

The truth is, despite the statistics that are everywhere trumpeted by the mainline media in this country suggesting that the country is enjoying unparalleled prosperity, this prosperity is not a prosperity in which most have shared. It has been a prosperity in which only those in the top two-fifths of the country's population have participated in; for the rest, it has been a time when both husband and wife in the middle one-fifth of the population have been forced into the workplace just to stay even, and where the remaining two-fifths of the population - those who are at the bottom of the economic pyramid - have actually lost ground, a lot of ground. And in this regard, it should be noted that the belief that the jobs that illegals take are jobs that America's native-born workers won't take is nothing more than a LIE perpetrated by the American elites. "Illegals" are being used to drive down the wages of native-born workers. Jobs that once paid a decent living are being handed over to "illegals" who are willing to work for half as much, and American workers are being told to take the pay cut or they will be fired and their jobs handed over to "illegals."

The "down-waging" of "working-class" jobs has had a fundamental effect on the United States. Increasingly, we are facing a situation in which there exists two Americas - separate and unequal; two Americas that uneasily exist side by side with each other, and there is little indication that the growing division of America into two classes will end any time soon. The so-called "American Dream" is vanishing for millions of heretofore middle-class, white Americans. As Bartlett and Steele said some fifteen years ago,

"... if you work for a living and if you are in the middle-class income range ... the chances are that your standard of living is falling or will do so in the coming years ..."

THE COMING RACE WAR

Naturally enough, the "BROWNING" of the American labor force has not gone unnoticed by America's white, native-born workers - leading growing numbers on them to conceive of the struggle they are engaged in order to maintain their "middle-class" status as a RACE WAR - a race war that growing numbers of native, white Americans are coming increasingly to believe, and rightfully so, that they are losing.

Of course, the "race politics" practiced by such groups as La Raza, La Familia, etc. in the Hispanic community don't do much to tamp down the fury of native born, white Americans. And just how infuriating these politics are is made clear in what happened in San Jose, California, recently when "flyers" appeared out of "nowhere" that flooded the entire "south bay area" declaring California, Arizona, New Mexico, etc. part of Mexico: in addition to a lot of hate-filled rhetoric directed against "white Anglos," the "flyers" announced "null and void" the Treaty of Guadeloupe-Hidalgo and urged all people of Mexican descent to rise up and take California back.

As a result of all this, increasing numbers of working-class whites believe that if they don't do something quickly, they are going to be engulfed numerically by a "brown army" of Latinos from Mexico, and Central and South America - all of them breathing slaughter and hatred against whites as the come, intent on wresting control of the United States from the whites.

Many well-meaning Americans such as Lou Dobbs of CNN believe that the issue of illegal immigration from Latin America can be separated from the issue of race; that most Americans - after having survived the Civil Rights struggle of the latter part of the Twentieth Century will be able to make such a distinction. They would scoff at the idea that racism as such could ever again be a "player" in the American political arena - either as a factor in the developing struggle between North America and Latin America, or internally as a struggle of white Americans against America's minority communities. The thought that, after almost fifty years of integration and "racial progress," the country could again be plunged back into open racial conflict seems to most Americans absurd. But, sadly, the Bible says that that's exactly what is going to happen in the "end of days."

THE ACTION-REACTION SPIRAL OF ETHNIC CONFLICT

Indeed, the Bible speaks of ethnic (i.e., racial) conflict as one of the most pointed and distressing signs of those events leading up to the "Beginning of Sorrows" (i.e., the first half of the Tribulation and the appearance of the Antichrist as a messianic savior) - the creation, as it were, of what Paul Hockenos calls in his book Free to Hate, an "action-reaction spiral" of one ethnic group "raging" against another.  Specifically, the Bible says:

"... nation (ethnos) shall rise against nation (ethnos), and kingdom against kingdom ..." (Luke 21:10)

It is EXACTLY this kind of war that is taking root between the United States (on the one hand) and Latin America (on the other hand), and the fact is, once such a war is ignited, who knows where it will end. It could very well bleed into the now very tattered multi-ethnic fabric of American society and rend it from top to bottom.

Now in all of this, it is important to understand that "ethnic (i.e., racial) mobilization" is not an elite phenomenon; it is a "populist phenomenon" (at least in its initial stages). It is a "grassroots" affair which is driven from the bottom up, not from the top down. In this kind of a situation, elites are powerless to stem the radicalization process because the rage that is driving the process is a "people rage."

As the racial mobilization continues in its deadly process, even those who had at first put little value in their ethnic identity are pressed towards ethnic mobilization. The opportunity of choosing between a "moderate" (multicultural) identity and an ethnic identity slowly disappears as the rhetoric becomes ever more heated - forcing more and more individuals in each ethnic group to adopt ethnic identities. More importantly, ethnic identity is often imposed by the opposing group, specifically by its most radical elements. This is what happened in the former Yugoslavia; for example, take what happened to one "moderate" (multicultural) Bosnian Muslim school teacher as the "action-reaction spiral" of ethnic conflict began to take hold there. She laments:

"We never, until war, thought of ourselves as Muslims. We were Yugoslavs (i.e., multiculturalists). But when we began to be murdered, because we are Muslims, things changed. The definition of who we are today has been determined by our killers."

TWO POSSIBLE END SCENARIOS

There are at present two possible outcomes insofar as this ethnic conflict is concerned, both bad insofar as average Americans are concerned. One scenario is represented by legislation that has been passed by the House of Representatives, and the other scenario by legislation that has been passed by the Senate:

1. The legislation that has been passed by the House reflects the overwhelming majority of the American people; it is a draconian bill that would mandate an end to the flow of economic refugees from the south into the United States by building what would amount to be an "Iron Wall" between Mexico and the United States. In addition, it would make it a felony to be an "illegal" in the United States, and it would criminalize the hiring of "illegal workers" by employers. It would stop the flow of immigrants and end immigration from the south to north as a "safety valve" against a social upheaval in Latin America directed against the American New World Order System in Latin America.

2. The legislation that has been passed by the Senate reflects the desires of America's elites; after making an empty "show" of better enforcement of U.S. border laws, it would essentially continue things as they are, permitting the flow of refugees into the United States. This would

1. preserve the United States as a "safety valve" against pressure that could build up to a socialist revolution in Latin America that would strip the elites of their holding there, and

2. it would continue the downward pressure on wages in the United States.

SCENARIO #1

There are severe consequences to both pieces of legislation. The House legislation would UNDOUBTEDLY - as several recent articles in Foreign Affairs Magazine, a mouthpiece of the American elites, have suggested - precipitate a continent-wide, socialist revolution in Latin America. Such a revolution has already taken root in Venezuela and Bolivia, and it is threatening to do so in Nicaragua.

In addition, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Ecuador and Peru stand at the brink; indeed, the continued status of these countries as "slave-states" in the American New World Order System is being preserved only by subterfuge, rigged elections and brute force. That's certainly true of Colombia where the central government is fighting a losing battle with the FARC, and is being maintained in power only by the clandestine presence of 10,000 U.S. troops who are pretending to fight the drug trade while really fighting the socialist forces of the FARC.

And then there is the ultimate nightmare for the U.S. elites: the loss of Mexico to a socialist upheaval, which is a very real possibility given the growing number of political districts in the south of Mexico that have declared themselves "autonomous" from the central government's control; there is also the very real possibility that the upcoming elections in Mexico could sweep both the PAN and the PRI from power and place the government in Mexico into the hands of declared socialists, which has already happened in Mexico City.

The very real fact of the matter is, the U.S. elites are holding onto their ill-gotten gains in Latin America by a mere thread - and that thread is unrestricted IMMIGRATION of Latin America's "excess population" to the United States.  If that thread is broken, there will be an EXPLOSION - and the only way to contain it will be through the use of BRUTAL and utterly INHUMANE military force - and the sons and daughters of America's middle-class will be conscripted to fight this bloody war. For average Americans to think that the American elites will allow the people of Latin America to "confiscate" their property in Latin America without a fight is naïve at best, and just plain stupid at worst.

SCENARIO #2

On the other hand, should the legislation in the Senate prevail allowing the continued unrestricted flow of "economic refugees" from the south to continue, it could lead to a populist EXPLOSION in the United States. It should be said, however, in this connection that, given the degree to which the American elites control the mass media, all the organs of the government, and the police forces of the country, it is highly doubtful that - in the end - this explosion could not be contained, though racial violence would continue to simmer just below the surface.

What it would mean, however, is the EXTREME PAUPERIZATION of America's older, white, native-born workers; a situation where millions and millions of heretofore middle-class workers are dumped out of the middle-class into a black hole of economic despair where bankruptcy as a means of escape from their problems is no longer an option, where there is little or no health care, where both husbands and wives are forced to work not just one job, but sometimes two and even three jobs just to put a roof over their heads, put food on the table and pay the electric and gas bills; where they are ghettoized much as poor blacks are now ghettoized as "trailer park trash;" and where the ability to meet bills, foreclosure, repossessions, lost credit, etc. are a reality of daily life.

The fact is, thousands - indeed, millions - of middle-class, blue-collar workers are being displaced by immigrant labor - in the construction industry, in the services industry, and even in well-heeled major corporations. Only a quarter of those laid off will ever again find similar well-paying jobs. Welcome to downward mobility. Kiss the credit cards goodbye. Everybody in the family works - your spouse, your kids. Several years ago, Business Week describes what happened to one such worker: Allen S.:

"Several years ago Allen had a steady annual income of $50,000 … [as a blue-collar worker] in West Hartford, Conn., and a marriage of 14 years … Two days before Christmas three years ago, Allen was laid off ... Despite good outplacement help, intense networking, dozens of interviews, and hundreds of resumes mailed, Allen has yet to find permanent work. He divorced, worked for minimum wage in the stockroom of a Marshalls Inc. discount store, and lost $13,000 of his savings starting up his ... (own business). Early this year, his ... (home) was foreclosed and auctioned off. He owes the IRS $22,000 in back taxes and penalties because he withdrew his 401(k) retirement funds early. Several months ago, he sold his camcorder, photocopier, and fax machine to pay bills. Today, Allen lives on ... Social Security disability. He has no medical insurance ... ‘I have lost the fight to stay ahead in today’s economy’, he says. ‘I was determined to find work, but as the months and years wore on, depression set in. You can only be rejected so many times; then you start questioning your own self-worth’."

And it’s not only Allen S.; it’s people like Larry W. and Belinda S. Both used to work at a glass company in Pennsylvania. But both lost their jobs in a very circuitous fashion to immigrant labor several years ago. Larry now works part time at a marine-supply store. His wife works in a sewing factory making about $6 an hour. When he lost his job, Larry refinanced his mortgage on the family home and has been draining his savings ever since just to stay afloat. Alarmed at this trend, economist Paul Glastris reports that - as a result of immigrant labor - American workers are finding themselves reduced to the same status that the laboring class in Latin America finds itself - AND DO THE AMERICAN ELITES CARE? NO! - NOT AT ALL. They're more than happy to wave the flag and send the sons and daughters of Middle America off to war in defense of their vast, world-wide holdings, while at the same time shipping the jobs of their "fellow Americans" "offshore," and bringing vast amounts of illegal immigrant labor into the country to break their unions and put downward pressure on their wages.

FASCISM

Such an outcome cannot help but produce a fascist mindset in the American people. Fascism is a phenomenon that takes root in men and women who feel they are being thwarted from their legitimate worldly destiny by "lesser people." In Germany, where race-thinking became official doctrine for more than a decade, the surrender of the German people - even German Christians - to the appeal of racism originated in despair - a despair born in the belief that they were in danger of being overrun by "lesser people," particularly people from the east (just as today white Americans feel threatened by "brown" Latinos streaming up from the south, black Haitians washing ashore on the beaches in Florida. Put simply, FASCISM IS AN ALTERNATIVE TO MADNESS FOR PEOPLE WHO FEEL BALKED IN WHAT THEY CONSIDER TO BE THEIR LEGITIMATE WORLDLY AMBITIONS. It is a faith rooted in the consciousness of a thwarted self-worth and confirmed by the Tertullian principle of "Certum est quia impossible."

Are you a disappointed person? Do you feel that you have been thwarted from the worldly destiny you feel is legitimately yours? Do you believe that America is in danger of being "overrun" by "lesser people?" Do these things anger you? If you answer yes to any of these questions, then you are a candidate for fascism! - AND THAT'S THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER; one race raging against another; each claiming God to be on their side. And it's coming! And insofar as America is concerned, it's coming soon as a result of the very dynamic we have been talking about here - an "action-reaction spiral" of one ethnic group "raging" against another.  That's what the Bible means when it says that -

"... nation (ethnos) shall rise against nation (ethnos), and kingdom against kingdom ..." (Luke 21:10)

YOU DON'T REALLY BELEVE?

You say that such fears are misplaced? Oh, really? Well consider what the late R.J. Rushdoony, the Karl Marx, so to speak, of today's "dominionist Christianity" in the United States, has to say about the minority communities. For example, take what Rushdoony has to say about the necessity of maintaining the purity of the white race. In The Institutions, he writes:

"Clearly history has witnessed genetic deterioration. Selective breeding in (white) Christian countries has led to a degree to the progressive elimination of many defective persons (i.e., people of mixed race) ..."

On blacks, Rushdoony writes:

"The white man has behind him centuries of Christian culture and the discipline and selective breeding this faith requires [and heaven only knows where he got such an idea, certainly not from the Bible, maybe from some genetic handbook left behind at Aushwitz by Joseph Mengele - editor] ... The Negro is a product of a radically different past, and his heredity has been governed by radically different consideration."

Elsewhere, Rushdoony writes:

"The background of Negro culture is African and magic ... Voodoo, or magic, was the religion and life of American Negroes. Voodoo songs underlie jazz, and old voodoo, with its power goal, has been merely replaced with revolutionary voodoo, a modernized power drive." [And notice here, Rushdoony - in using the word, "revolutionary" - is plainly playing to the fears of whites that blacks are out to get them.]

On black slavery, Rushdoony writes:

"The law (i.e., the "law" that Rushdoony and his cohorts would set up in their idealized "Christian state") here is humane and also unsentimental. It recognizes that some people (i.e., blacks and "lesser sorts") are by nature slaves and will always be so. It both requires that they be dealt with in a godly manner and also that the slave recognize his position and accept it with grace."

AND ALL THIS FROM THE FATHER OF AMERICAN DOMINIONISM! And if Rushdoony could say this about blacks, he certainly would have no compulsion in saying it about Latinos.

David Chilton, another Reconstructionist, believes that "... even Southern Slavery was not as unbiblical as many have charged." Chilton argues that slaves should be well tended and eventually freed if they are Christian. [What does that mean? - that whites have the right to hold people who are not Christians in slavery. The multinationals would love that. That would certainly end their perennial search for "cheap labor." And you can imagine how the multinationals would treat evangelists if "conversion" eventually meant that they would have to "free their slaves." That would certainly be bad for business.]

HOW WIDESPREAD IS THIS THINKING?

And just how wide-spread is Rushdoony's ideals in the evangelical community today? - very widespread, indeed. Rushdoony appeared frequently on Pat Robertson's 700 Club, according to Christianity Today and The Wall Street Journal. Gary North, another Reconstructionist, has also appeared numerous times on the 700 Club. Both North and Rushdoony have been repeat guests on televangelist and religious right organizer D. James Kennedy's television broadcasts, and Kennedy has called their biblical commentaries "essential" works.

The Traditional Values Coalition and Citizens for Excellence in Education have advertised "Rutherford Institute Seminars" in which Rushdoony was a featured speaker - along with Rutherford Institute founder John Whitehead. Rushdoony was described in the advertisement as a "theologian ... who represents scriptural framework for building orderly structures in society ..."

Herbert Titus, the founding dean of Pat Robertson's Regent University Law School, has said that the school has used Rushdoony's and Gary North's works as course texts. Regent public policy professor Joseph Kickasola has written for a Rushdoony publication. Kickasola and Regent adjunct professor Gary Amos were teamed with Rushdoonyites David Chilton and Peter Leithart, among others, in a three-day theological debate - "The National Dialogue on the Kingdom of God."

While many evangelicals say they don't agree with such beliefs, they continue to welcome them at their conferences and hire them in their seminaries. For example, George Grant, a notorious Reconstructionist, is a very sought-after speaker at Christian Coalition conferences. Grant's work was part of a series of four reconstructionist tracts edited by North that Jerry Falwell, a leading evangelical, has described as "a tool Christians need" for the difficulties "that confront society."

This is just the tip of the iceberg - and you say that there is no reason for the minority community to be afraid of the Religious Right? I would be if I were in their shoes - and so would you!!

AN IRRESISTABLE DYNAMIC

As racial radicalization continues down its dogged and inflexible course, white evangelicals are ever more being drawn into this kind of thinking. You say that won't happen to you. Oh, really? - well that's what countless numbers of good German Christians said about Hitler's race politics. When push came to shove, what happened to them? RACIAL RADICALIZATION MAKES MONSTERS OUT OF US ALL - AND ALL IN THE NAME OF GOD!

What is God's answer to all this for American Christians? The Bible says:

"Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD’S vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence." (Jeremiah 51:6)
