SOMETHING STRANGE
IS AFOOT

Plumes of smoke shoot up from a volcano under the Eyjafjallajokull glacier in Iceland. The volcano spewed ash up to 35,000ft into the sky, causing a deadly hazard to pilots. The eruption was believed to be 10 to 20 times more powerful than a similar one that shook Iceland last month. A bigger worry is Katla, which in the past has erupted in tandem with Eyjafjallajokull. " Since the beginning of the year (2010) there has been a huge number of major earthquakes measuring in excess of magnitude 6.0 around the world, killing more than 300,000 people; that's a magnitude 6.0 > earthquake every four and a half days!

INTRODUCTION

There are strange things happening in the world today - extraordinary things that augur for the convergence of prophecy with the "here and now;" of the "natural" with the "supernatural;" of the "spirit world" with the "world of science and technology;" and, finally, of the Scriptures with the world of politics and culture. Indeed, with the rapid onset of seismic activity throughout the world of the kind described in such Scriptures as Mathew 24:7, Mark 13:8 and Luke 21:11, many Christians are beginning to awake to the fact that the end might really be at hand.

Even Hollywood has gotten into the act; of course, they are not promoting Christian themes concerning the "end of the age," but are instead promoting ancient non-Christian "end-of-the-age" themes such as the Mayan myth of 2012; nevertheless ...

NOTE: The 2012 phenomenon comprises a range of eschatological beliefs that cataclysmic or transformative events will occur on December 21, 2012, which is said to be the end-date of a 5,125-year-long cycle in the Mayan Long Count Calendar.

Interestingly, a "New Age" twist concerning 2012 suggests that during this time, Earth and its inhabitants may undergo not necessarily a negative transformation (i.e., annihilation), but a positive physical or spiritual transformation, and that 2012 may mark the beginning of a new era; specifically, the "Age of Aquarius."

According to many adherents of the "New Age," a "great spiritual teacher will manifest himself at this time - a "miracle-worker" who will bring enlightenment to humanity - the "The Restorer of the World;" avrixpu ros: ANTICHRIST.

Christian prophecy and Mayan myth-making: To secularists, it's all nothing more than a pot of nonsense and gobbledygook.

Naturally enough, secularists lump all this - both Biblical prophecy and Mayan myth-making - into the same pot of nonsense and gobbledygook; the inane gibberish of irrational minds that deserves nothing more than scorn and ridicule; these are people like the late Carl Sagan who utterly refuse to concede reality to powers that are greater than man. [No doubt, Sagan knows better now.]

But the fact of the matter is, powers far greater than man control his destiny - and though unseen and little suspected by the rulers of earth, there are "principalities," "powers," and "world-rulers of darkness" who are really in charge of this world and who direct the affairs of man - and with whom, as the Apostle Paul tells us, we have to wage a fearful warfare:

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high (i.e., heavenly) places." (Eph. 6:12)

Secularists - who fail to recognize this fact, but who nonetheless fancy themselves to be exposers of the "flesh and blood" wickedness in others - wield little more than wooden swords against what are really only shadows. Secularists can speak only of "good" and "evil," but not of the dragons beyond those comfortable conceits. They battle against phantoms they cannot by any means see, and expose nothing more than the secondhand sins of their flesh and blood adversaries, while never coming to grips with the real powers which stand behind that flesh and blood.

It is with this in mind that we leave behind the "comfortable conceits" of secularists and seek to come to grips with the real powers of this world - AND WE DO SO BY DARING TO MAKE THE BIBLE OUR SOLE GUIDE IN THIS ENDEAVOR.

THE CONVERGENCE OF PROPHECY
WITH THE WORLD OF THE "HERE & NOW"

The Bible says that God does indeed intend to make an end to this present evil world - and that one of the clearest signs that the end is drawing near will be a huge increase in seismic activity throughout the world; and it likens it to a woman TRAVAILING to give birth (1 Thess. 5:3); specifically, the onset of a woman's birth pangs ("contractions") - AND MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT, THESE "CONTRACTIONS" ARE INCREASING (please see graph below):

And as these "contractions" increase, we can begin to discern forces which presently appear only as dark phantasms pressing in on the world of the "here and now" through the "human agencies" we described in our article, "The Evil in Our Midst;" please also see our last article, "Crossing the Rubicon."

RESTITUTOR ORBIS - "The Restorer of the World" - (avrixpu ros) - ANTICHRIST Max Mell, a contemporary poet, has said that the desire for a RESTITUTOR ORBIS lies just underneath the thin cosmopolitan surface of today's modern Western World; it's the world of Parsifal, Guinevere, Roland, Lancelot, Barbarossa, Tristan and Isolde. This kind of an image - i.e., that of a Restitutor Orbis - is implanted far too deeply in our collective memory to ever be rooted out by the fleeting fashions of modernity, secularism, and democracy: A king who - like King Arthur (the "once and future king") - stands ready to re-emerge and rescue us from the chaos and confusion of this present evil world. And there are more people than most would care to admit (many of whom are passing themselves off as Christians) who are calling us to embrace the concept of leadership that these old "warrior kings" represented - a kind of messianic leadership based supposedly on nobility of character, charisma and the ability to "get things done."

And the extent to which these "human agencies" are willing to go in "hurrying on" the process of manifesting the RESTITUTOR ORBIS to a world wallowing in what they see as Left-Wing cultural and political excess is readily apparent to all those who care to look: Take, for example, the dark "goings-on" that surrounded the botched bombing attempt by Faisal Shahzad in Times Square and the equally bungled attempt by Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab to bring down Northwest Airlines Flight 253 over Detroit on Christmas Day - attempts that, had they been successful, would have had, in the words of Tom Burghardt -

"... immense repercussions both internationally and within the United States. They would have seriously destabilized the Obama administration, politically strengthened the most extreme right-wing sections of the ruling class, and cleared the way for an even more massive expansion of military-intelligence operations overseas and a drastic curtailing of democratic rights at home."

NOTE: One of the most common misrepresentations of the Antichrist is that He will present himself to the world as a "Man of Peace" - a kind of "New Age Guru;" a left-wing political leader - someone like Barack Obama. BUT THE SCRIPTURES IN NO INSTANCE INDICATE THAT SUCH IS THE CASE. Take, for example, the many names and titles that are given to this individual in the Scriptures - none of which indicate that he will masquerade as a "Man of Peace." Arthur W. Pink lists the various names the Scriptures give to him: "The Bloody and Deceitful Man" (Ps. 5:6), "The Wicked One" (Ps. 10:2-4), "The Enemy" (Ps 10:18), "The Adversary" (Ps. 74:8-10), "The Head of Many Countries" (Ps.111:6), "The Violent One" (Ps. 140:1), "The King of Babylon" (Isa. 14:2), "The Sun of the Morning" (Isa. 14:12), "The Spoiler" (Isa. 16:4; Jer. 4:26), "The Nail" (Isa. 22:25), "The Profane Wicked Prince" (Ezek. 21:25-27), "The Little Horn" (Dan. 7:8), "The Prince That Shall Come" (Dan. 9:26), "The Vile Person" (Dan. 11:21), "The Willful King" (Dan. 11:36), "The Idol Shepherd" (Zech. 11:16-17), "The Man of Sin" (2 Thess. 2:3), "The Son of Perdition" (2 Thess. 2:3), "The Lawless One" (2 Thess. 2:8), "The Antichrist" (1 John 2:22), "The Angel of the Bottomless Pit" (Rev. 9:11), "The Beast" (Rev. 11:7); in addition, Dwight Pentecost includes the following names to the list: "The One Coming in His Own Name" (John 5:43), "The King of Fierce Countenance" (Dan. 8:23), "The Abomination of Desolation" (Matt. 24:15), and "The Desolator" (Dan 9:27).

Certainly NONE of these names gives any kind of credence to the thought that the Antichrist will be a "Man of Peace" - indeed, many of them imply just the opposite:

* The Bloody and Deceitful Man

* The Wicked One

* The Adversary

* The Spoiler

* The Nail

* The Vile Person

* The Son of Perdition

* The Abomination of Desolation

Very obviously, given these BIBLICAL REALITIES, one should not look to the Left for the Antichrist (avrixpu ros), but to the Right; someone who would think nothing of seizing power through a BLOODY military coup. Burghardt and others note that even these failed attempts (i.e., the failed attempt by Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab to bring down Northwest Airlines Flight 253, and the attempt to set off a bomb in Times Square by Faisal Shahzad) have touched off a firestorm of criticism by the Republican right of the Obama administration's supposed laxity in the face of terrorism.

And what's even more worrying to Burghardt, there is a great deal of evidence to suggest that something more was afoot in these two attempts than meets the eye; that right-wing elements surreptitiously working to overthrow the Obama Administration were involved. For example, concerning flight 253, Burghardt writes:

"This [i.e. the attempt to bring down flight 253 on Christmas Day] found its distilled expression in a statement by former Vice President Dick Cheney. 'We are at war, and when President Obama pretends we aren't, it makes us less safe', said Cheney. The former vice president and de facto leader of the 'war on terror' in the Bush administration condemned Obama for proposing to close down the Guant‡namo prison camp and try some of those held there in normal federal courts. He also denounced the US president for jettisoning the words 'war on terror' in describing Washington's continuing wars abroad and attacks on democratic rights at home. The statements from Cheney - WHO WAS AT THE CENTER OF A SECRET GOVERNMENT for eight years, has the closest ties to the military-intelligence apparatus, and is a ruthless advocate of torture, assassinations and a sweeping curtailment of democratic rights - shed light on the political calculations that may have encouraged elements within the CIA to facilitate a terrorist action." In the end, the attack was foiled not by U.S. counter-intelligence agencies, but by the passengers themselves - and the same could be said of the two street vendors who called the police in Times Square.

THE CLOSER ONE LOOKS ...

While there is still a lot that is unknown concerning the attempt to bomb Times Square, plainly the so-called "intelligence failures" that surround the attempt on Northwest Airlines Flight 253 leave room for a lot of speculation as to just what was going on. There were plenty of "Phantasms" lurking about, that's for sure.

Burghardt explains:

"The closer one looks at the available evidence surrounding the strange case of Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the more sinister alleged 'intelligence failures' become. As this story unfolds it is becoming abundantly clear that U.S. security officials had far more information on the would-be lap bomber than we've been told." [It turns out now that the same thing could be said of Faisal Shahzad]

The fact of the matter is, according to Burghardt, Abdulmutallab had been the subject of numerous -

"... phone taps, email intercepts and other forms of surveillance."

Burghardt continues,

"None of this [i.e., the so-called "intelligence failures"] should surprise anyone, however ... As we have seen with Mohamed Atta [9-11], Richard Reid [the shoe-bomber] and Mohammad Sidique Khan [the London suicide bomber], Abdulmutallab's 'journey' was one undertaken by many before, often with a wink-and-a-nod from American security officials when it served the geostrategic ambitions of their political masters." Burghardt explains:

"As security researcher and analyst Nafeez Mosaddeq Ahmed wrote in the New Internationalist (October 2009): 'Islamist terrorism cannot be understood without acknowledging the extent to which its networks are being used by Western military intelligence services, both to control strategic energy resources and to counter their geopolitical rivals. Even now, nearly a decade after 9/11, covert sponsorship of al-Qaeda networks continues'. Ahmed's findings track closely with those of Michel Chossudovsky, Peter Dale Scott and Richard Labévière, who have painstakingly documented that the complex of jihadi groups known as al-Qaeda have enjoyed the closest ties with Western intelligence agencies stretching back decades. That intelligence officers, including those at the highest levels of the secret state's security apparat, did nothing to hamper an alleged al-Qaeda operative from getting on that plane--in a chilling echo of the 9/11 attacks--calls into question the thin tissue of lies outlined in the official narrative." Burghardt concludes by quoting Bill Van Auken:

"The general outlines of the Northwest bombing attempt and the 9/11 attacks are startlingly similar. One might even say that what is involved is a modus operandi. In both cases, those alleged to have carried out the actions had been the subject of US intelligence investigations and surveillance and had been allowed to enter the country and board flights under conditions that would normally have set off multiple security alarms.

"Both then and now, the government and the media expect the public to accept that all that was involved was mistakes. But why should anyone assume that the failure to act on the extensive intelligence leading to Abdulmutallab involved merely 'innocent' mistakes--and not something far more sinister?

"And so dear readers, we are left to ponder the question, cui bono?" [Latin: "Who benefits?"]

"Who would benefit politically from a major terrorist incident on American soil, ready, willing and able to step into the breach and exploit the catastrophic loss of human life that would follow in its wake?" [Once again, we urge you to read (or re-read) our article, "The Evil in our Midst."]

KILLING INNOCENTS TO AFFECT POLITICAL CHANGE

And make no mistake about it, blowing up a plane of innocent passengers in order to affect political change is nothing new insofar as the CIA is concerned. For example, take the attempt in 1955 by the CIA to kill Chinese Premier Zhou Enlai by blowing up a plane full of innocent passengers on which Zhou was travelling.

On the night of April 11, 1955, a chartered Air-India flight was carrying a minor delegation of Chinese and East Europeans from Hong Kong to Indonesia to attend the Afro-Asian Conference in Bandung. Around 7 p.m., at 18,000 feet, a time bomb detonated in the wheel bay of the starboard wing, causing the plane to crash into the sea. Rumours of CIA involvement in the crash surfaced immediately; fortunately for Zhou, he was not on the plane; he had changed planes at the last minute.

NOTE: CIA involvement in the attempt to assassinate Premier Zhou Enlai by blowing up a plane full of innocent passengers surfaced eleven years later when a U.S. Senate committee [the Church Committee] investigating CIA operations heard testimony that gave murky details of a CIA plot to assassinate an "East Asian leader" attending a 1955 Asian conference. The leader's identity remained under wraps for another 11 years. In 1977, William Corson, a retired U.S. Marine Corps intelligence officer who served in Asia, published Armies of Ignorance, identifying him as Zhou Enlai. Obviously, blowing up planes full of innocent passengers in order to affect political change is nothing new insofar as the CIA is concerned.

IF THIS IS TRUE ...

If this is true - and there is every reason to believe it is true - why is the CIA involved just now in such a risky operation - and there can be no doubt that such operations are very dangerous. For example, it has been only with the greatest amount of effort that the CIA has over the years been able to hide its involvement in the murders of John F. Kennedy (JFK), Robert Kennedy (RFK) and Martin Luther King (MLK). As a result, these operations are undertaken only under the most egregious circumstances, when no other option seems available, and the "powers-that-be" face disintegration if nothing is done.

A CASUS BELLI FOR THE ATTEMPT ON FLIGHT 253

The murder of MLK sheds light on the kind of pressure that pushes the elites to consider the type of operation they attempted to undertake with Flight 253 on Christmas Day over Detroit. William F. Pepper explains what was behind the thinking that went into King's assassination - the same kind of thinking that undoubtedly went into the attempt to blow up flight 253; he writes in his book, An Act of State:

Martin Luther King, Jr.

"(Dr. King) ... was emerging as a key figurehead in a powerful coalition of growing peace and civil rights movements, which were to form the basis of a 'new politics'. The National Conference for New Politics (NCNP) was established to catalyze people nationwide ... Dr. King was planning to move into mainstream politics as a potential candidate on a presidential ticket with Dr. Benjamin Spock in order to highlight the anti-poverty, anti-war agenda. He called for conscientious objection, political activity, and a revolution in values to shift American society away from its raw materialism to ... (something more compassionate)."

How did King propose to pay for all this? - by taking it out of the country's military budget? That would mean weakening the American military to a point where it could no longer act as an "enforcer" for the elite's developing "client-state" system (please see our articles, "The Third World as a Model for the New World Order," and "The American Empire and the U.S. System of Client States") and with it, of course, the disintegration of the American New World Order System that the elites were bending every effort to construct at the time (a system which by now has been all but completed). That was too much! Pepper continues:

"... There was great concern in the halls of power in America that this most honored of black Americans had decided to use the full force of his integrity, moral authority, and international prestige to challenge the might and moral bankruptcy of the American state, which he [King] freely characterized as the 'GREATEST PURVEYOR OF VIOLENCE ON EARTH'."

Thus, the spectral forces that really govern this country set in motion plans for the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. and later the same year, RFK, both of which were "follow-on" assassinations to JFK in 1963. [JFK had earned the undying antipathy of the elites by subverting their attempt at the Bay of Pigs to re-conquer Cuba and "end the threat of Communist subversion in the Western Hemisphere." In addition, he was planning to pull American "advisors" out of Vietnam following his re-election in 1964; JFK saw America's growing involvement in Vietnam as another "Bay of Pigs" fiasco, and he was determined to end it. Very obviously, the elites today are facing the same kind of "pressure" that caused them to consider killing MLK; indeed, the pressure on the elites today is many times greater than the pressure under which they labored back in 1968. And so it is that Patrick Martin writes that the attempt to blow up flight 253 in order to destabilize the Obama Administration -

"... suggests a mounting crisis within the American state machine ... It testifies to the extraordinary degree of political tension in official Washington."

TENSION IN THE EMPIRE IS
REACHING A BREAKING POINT

There are a number of reasons for the crisis that Martin is describing here:

War weariness.

• EXTERNALLY, the U.S. is facing an asymmetrical "war of attrition" from its Muslim client-states - a war that has already inflicted a great deal of harm on the "homeland" itself (e.g., 9-11) and on its principle allies in Europe (e.g., the London and Madrid bombings, etc.). This war has led to the deaths of thousands of American soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan - a loss of life that is creating a dangerous "war weariness" among the American population - a "war weariness" that was the primary reason for the election of President Barack Obama (who had promised to extricate the U.S. from these wars) in 2008. Should this sense of weariness spread as it did in Vietnam, it could lead to the unraveling of the Empire itself. THIS IS THE UNDYING NIGHTMARE OF AMERICA'S BUSINESS ELITES, BECAUSE IT IS ONLY THROUGH THE USE OF BRUTE AND SOMETIMES VERY BLOODY MILITARY POWER THAT AMERICA'S EMPIRE EXISTS TODAY.   Liberty at the Barricades - rebelling against the American New World Order System. [Please see our article, "What's the U.S. up to in Mexico."]

  In addition, the American Empire faces an existential threat from the increasing restiveness of its satellite states in Latin America. This threat is manifesting itself in movements of liberation throughout the continent where governments hostile to the interests of the American New World Order System have emerged in recent years in such countries as Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Brazil, Nicaragua, etc., and - most chillingly - in Mexico where the U.S. government is trying desperately to characterize the threat there as a drug war, just as it is doing in Colombia.   Finally, the U.S. faces the unraveling of its empire in Europe and the reduction of Europe into a myriad of weak mini-states each set on "beggaring" its neighbor, and each beset by internal unrest. [Please see our recent article, "Europe Is Going from Bad to Worse."]

Greek violence - and it is beginning to spread throughout Europe; and - as if to confirm the worst nightmares of America's business and political elites, it is manifesting itself as a SOCIALIST REVOLUTION.

• INTERNALLY, the American economy is on life-support, and the economic situation is not getting better, as the mainline media would have one to believe, but worse; much worse. The very real fact of the matter is, the economic crisis that began in mid-2008 has just barely begun, and - as Ron Paul suggests,

  "The large-scale government intervention in the economy is going to end badly. A false recovery is under way. I am reminded of the outlook in 1930, when the experts were certain that the worst of the Depression was over and that recovery was just around the corner."

  Instead, the Depression worsened, and the Dow Jones industrial average did not recover to 1929 levels until 1954.

  Paul continues:

  "What is most likely happening is a repeat of the Great Depression. We might have up to a year or so of an economy growing just slightly above stagnation, FOLLOWED BY A DROP IN GROWTH WORSE THAN ANYTHING SEEN IN THE PAST TWO YEARS. As the housing market fails to return to any sense of normalcy, commercial real estate begins to collapse and manufacturers produce goods that cannot be purchased by debt-strapped consumers, the economy will falter."   The "Grapes of Wrath!" - It's happening all over again!!

  As a result, Joel S. Hirschhorn writes,

  "The middle class is becoming a revolutionary class. The growing gap between themselves and a small number of highly visible super-rich individuals is fueling disillusion with meritocracy, while the growing urban under-classes are likely to pose an increasing threat ... Faced by these twin challenges, the middle-class might unite [against the rich]."

  John Maynard Keynes

  Hirschhorn continues:

  "Consider the wisdom of economist John Maynard Keynes: The rich are tolerable only so long as their gains appear to bear some relation to roughly what they have contributed to society. Think of it as proportional and justified economic success. This can be tolerated by poor and middle class people if they believe the economic system is fair and properly rewards those who work harder or have better capabilities. But truly obscene economic rewards angers people. When most prosperity and wealth is unfairly channeled to relatively few Upper Class people, it is only a matter of time until fuming, resentful people in the Lower Class decide enough is enough and revolt ..." IT IS WITH THIS UNBEARABLE PRESSURE IN MIND ...

It is with this unbearable tension in mind that we can now begin to appreciate why the MONEYED INTERESTS that stand atop those "human agencies" are seeking to "HURRY-ON" the manifestation of the RESTITUTOR ORBIS (avrixpu ros) - someone who can bring order out of the external and internal chaos into which the American Empire is descending; a world-ruler unafraid to use the full panoply of American military might to restore order, both in the HOMELAND itself, and in her client-states - EVEN IF IT MEANS THE ANNIHILATION OF WHOLE POPULATIONS.

Annihilating whole populations - ALL IN THE NAME OF THE "PRINCE OF PEACE"

Naturally enough, such a world-ruler could not possibly rely on the "will of the people" to justify his BLOODY rampage and carry it forward despite the stench of death that is surely to be a part of this violence and cruelty (both within the "homeland and outside of it) - and that is precisely why the business elites that stand atop the pyramid of these "human agencies" are pouring money into the RELIGIOUS RIGHT. Plainly, this great world-ruler intends to undergird his authority by a resort to RELIGION - specifically, an apostate form of Christianity - substituting the supposed "Will of God" for the "Will of the People." The Middle Class is becoming revolutionary - and the country's business elites are desperate to find a leader capable of "restoring order" and stamping out what they see as an evil spirit of revolution that is spreading throughout the population.

AND IF THIS MEANS SETTING WHITE, EURO-CENTERED CHRISTIANS AGAINST ALL OTHERS (essentially, those groups that form the core constituencies of the Democratic Party (Blacks, Hispanics - never mind the fact most Blacks and Hispanics subscribe to Christianity, maybe not the euro-centered kind of Christianity that the Religious Right subscribes to, but a viable form of Christianity nonetheless - secularists, feminists, Muslims, the gay and lesbian community, etc.) THEN SO BE IT.

The Templars and the Teutonic Knights: No room here except for white, euro-centered Christians. God protect us all from their apostasy and BLOOD-LUST. Interestingly, the "Templar Cross" was the historic insignia for the German armed forces. And one should have no illusions here: The business elites are having spectacular success in recruiting white, euro-centered American Christians into a "populist alliance" with them under the rubric of not only "Saving America for Christ," but also in conducting war in defense of the American New World Order System (and - incidentally - preserving their iron-grip on the wealth of the world).

One of the Christians the business elites have recruited in their effort to save themselves from the growing rage of the "unwashed masses" is Rod Parsley, a nationally known televangelist and the leader of a twelve-thousand-member church on the outskirts of Columbus, Ohio. He (along with John Hagee, pastor of the giant Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas) is a leader of what millions of American Christians call a "A Holy Ghost invasion" of the United States: "Man your battle stations, ready your weapons, lock and load!" Among the issues Parsley is championing are bans on abortion, gay marriage, school vouchers, stem-cell research and the right of individuals to "bear arms."

While the business elites with whom Parsley has allied himself care nothing for issues like this, it's okay with these elites if their Religious Right allies peddle them so long as they stand firm with the "Mavens of Wall Street" insofar as maintaining a strong military, prohibiting what they see as "confiscatory taxes" on the rich, inhibiting capital flows, and the maintenance of the American New World Order System.

The business elites desperately need the "populism" that the Religious Right can generate - and in order to do so, they are more than willing to let the Religious Right characterize their war for the oil wealth of the Middle East and Central Asia as a "righteous" war against Islam rather than what it really is, a war of greed.

"Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.

"He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.

Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

"But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; BUT HIS BLOOD WILL I REQUIRE AT THE WATCHMAN'S HAND." (Ezekiel 33:2-6)
