of these sites very obviously are not in favor of the eschatological
viewpoint that Antipas is purveying to the world, and are
- in fact - very much opposed to it. These are websites
that purvey an "escapist" mentality insofar as the "end
of the age" is concerned, and/or seek to link the church
to right-wing Christian circles in the United States. HENCE,

Prayer Letter for David Docherty going to Van, Turkey, God
willing, Dec. 24th to Jan. 1st.

mark is Van, Turkey where a 7.2 earthquake hit
on October 23rd.

 I will be part of a group of 4 and we will be handing out gospel
tracts and witnessing in broken Turkish to these people. I really
covet your prayers that God would help me evangelize the Turkish
and Kurdish people living here. I will be going to Van in Turkey
where there was a 7.2 earthquake on 23rd of October.
At present there are lots of widows and orphans there. Anyone
with money moved out of Van because the buildings are unsafe.
You may have heard of a Japanese volunteer who died in an aftershock
in November. He was staying in a hotel in Van. However, the
building had been weakened by the earthquake and when there
was an aftershock the building collapsed. So people are staying
in tents as will we.

LETTER WRITTEN BY DAVID A FEW DAYS
BEFORE HIS DECISION TO GO TO TURKEY
Dear Antipas Folk,
I hope you are improving in health. You know no-one else is
doing what you do i.e., keeping this website going, so look
after your health.
I have enclosed an attachment of an evangelistic trip to Turkey
I will be going on with a team this Dec24 to Jan 1st. I told
them at the beginning that if they did not want me to wear my
Babylon the great T-Shirt then I wouldn't go. However, after
saying it was OK they backed down. They are worried/afraid of
drawing too much attention to themselves on the ground in Turkey.
So because the team was small, 4 people, and I had already convinced
a friend to join me and we had paid the deposit (non-refundable)
I decided to go without the T-shirt.
I can still and will discuss the message of Antipas with anyone
keen to listen although I do expect some opposition from a team
of Americans who will be joining us. Although, heh, they may
be lovers of the truth more than lovers of country. Also some
more good news about this is that the organization – Intercp
- is a Korean organization geared up to evangelizing in the
10/40 window area. They have no objections to me wearing my
T-shirts to there their training centers in Korea and so I do
get a chance to spread the message around missionary minded
Christians in Korea.
So perhaps I'll head off to Turkey or some other 10/40 place
after this trip without any mission organization's timidity
to deal with. A team made up of Christians who want to share
the gospel to Muslims freed from having to cover for the western
church's cowardice to confront the USA and Europe (Nato).
I got published in the Korean University magazine for my gospel
proclaiming efforts outside my University gates. I'll send you
a copy of the article later.
