Gay's raising the flag of victory over the United States.

As we have indicated in previous articles, American Christians are being taught to HATE; HATE is the necessary ingredient in the construction of any fascist state - and Christians are being purposefully "targeted" to be the main carriers of this deadly pathogen.

We have dwelt at length on the effort by the elites and the Religious Right to "morph" the Islamic community into a target of that HATE; now we come to a second "target:" the Gay and Lesbian community.

The final solution being advocated by Dr. Cameron and his "Christian" ilk.

This article is divided into two parts: The first part deals with the false assumptions that undergird the church's entry into politics - especially as these assumptions relate to its battle against the so-called "gay and lesbian agenda;" the second part deals with the FINAL SOLUTION that many of those faux Christians who are leading this fight are advocating.

Seventy years ago, people around the world failed to take Hitler seriously when he talked of annihilating the Jewish race. They couldn't believe he was serious.

Many are making the same mistake about so-called Christians when they speak of a FINAL SOLUTION regarding homosexuality; for example, when Christian psychologist Dr. Paul Cameron says:

"Unless we get medically lucky [i.e., unless AIDS does the job for us], in three or four years, one of the options discussed [in dealing with the scourge of homosexuality and AIDS] WILL BE THE EXTERMINATION OF HOMOSEXUALS."

Maybe it's time we begin taking these leaders seriously.

And unless one gets the idea that Cameron is "somewhere out on the fringe" of the American evangelical community, it should be noted that he is supported by just about every "mainline" Christian evangelical organization in the country, including the Claremont Institute, American Family Association, NARTH (National Association for Research and Treatment of Homosexuality), the "700 Club," Focus on the Family, and many, many other similar "Christian" groups.

The other day I received an email from my twin brother. The email asked the following question:

"Proposition 8: How will the church respond TO ITS DEFEAT?"

NOTE: Proposition 8 (or the California Marriage Protection Act) was a ballot proposition and constitutional amendment passed in the November 2008, state elections. The measure added a new provision, Section 7.5 of the Declaration of Rights, to the California Constitution, which provides that "only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California." Proponents of the constitutional amendment argued that exclusively heterosexual marriage was "an essential institution of society;" that leaving the constitution unchanged would "result in public schools teaching our kids that gay marriage is okay," and that "gays ... do not have the right to redefine marriage for everyone else."

Pastor Garlow

Moreover, my twin brother is not the only one who believes that the decision by U.S. District Chief Judge Vaughn R. Walker to invalidate Proposition 8 was a DEFEAT FOR THE CHURCH. Take what Pastor Jim Garlow, who helped organize the " -Yes on 8 campaign" said: In speaking about the eventuality that Vaughn's ruling will reach the Supreme Court, Garlow remarked,

"If we lose on this one, we lose the capacity to be able to proclaim the gospel as we know it."

As a result, Garlow said:

"Our resolve is greater. We have no intention of backing up on this issue because far too much is at stake."

Lou Engle

Garlow went on to say that he believes there is a 27-month window (i.e., the time between now and the next presidential election) to -

"... turn the nation toward biblical values. I'm not trying to deadline God, but my sensing is we have a short window left after which it will be too late to see America ever return to any sense of God-honoring truths."

Lou Engle, who organized a prayer rally in support of Proposition 8 in September 2008, was equally appalled by Vaughn's ruling:

"It's a chilling moment. Democracy is crumbling, and I believe, again, we're going to see the persecution of the church ... Across the board, religious freedom now is being trumped by gender freedom."

The mom and dad that kids deserve

Brian Raum, senior legal counsel for the Alliance Defense Fund, which defended Proposition 8, concurred; he said:

"It's not radical for more than 7 million Californians to protect marriage as they've always known it. What would be radical would be to allow a handful of activists to gut the core of the American democratic system and, in addition, force the entire country to accept a system that intentionally denies children the mom and the dad they deserve."

NOTE: Others who call the court's decision to rescind Proposition 8 a defeat for the church include:

Garlow then made a very prescient statement: he remarked that voters with conservative moral values are -

"... going to rise up and say enough is enough." [Please see our article, "The Coming Bubba Revolution."]

BUT ...

All these "brothers in Christ" speak about a DEFEAT FOR THE CHURCH; but the decision by the court to overturn the voter-approved initiative against gay marriage (California Proposition 8) was NOT a defeat for the church; it has NOTHING to do with the Kingdom of God! In speaking about the sphere of His kingdom, Jesus said:

"My kingdom IS NOT OF THIS WORLD: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight ... but ... my kingdom [is] not from hence." (John 18:36)

The failure here to differentiate between the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of this World leads inevitably to APOSTASY.

How is possible for someone to fall away from the second story of a building when he never was on the second story?

Apostasy is not necessarily false doctrine and/or sin - though it can be this, and there can be no question that these things inevitably follow in the wake of apostasy - but rather it is, in the first instance, the FALLING AWAY of Christians from a view of themselves as citizens of Christ's heavenly kingdom to a view of themselves as citizens of the kingdom of this world. The Bible says:

"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day [i.e., the day of the rapture and resurrection] shall not come, except there come a FALLING AWAY [i.e., apostasy] first ..." (2 Thess. 2:3)

And there is something more here: THE WORD (i.e., APOSTASY) HAS SPECIAL REFERENCE TO THE "SAVED IN CHRIST" - in other words, to Christians. To think otherwise, that is to think that we are here speaking only of those who merely profess Christianity, is an absurdity; after all, how is it possible for someone who was never saved to "fall away" from something he never had?

Put a different way, how is possible for someone to fall away from the second story of a building when he never was on the second story, but only on the ground looking up.

The Bible says that Satan controls the WHOLE world (kosmos). Not just part of the world, but the WHOLE world. That's why the Scriptures say that to be "a friend of the world is to be the enemy of Christ." This includes both the "good" and the "bad" of this world; both the "ugly" and the "beautiful" - and it is for this reason that I rather suspect that most Christians have a difficult time differentiating between what is "of the world" and what is "of God." They are unable to grasp the fact that BOTH the "good" and the "bad" of this world are of Satan. Christians confuse "worldliness" with "carnality" (i.e., the "bad" of this world - e.g., lust, lewdness, eroticism, sensuality, etc. - and even such mundane things as watching TV, going to the movies, listening to "rock and roll" music, etc.) - and, as a result, they naively think that if they avoid carnality everything will be okay.

Satan controls the WHOLE world (kosmos). Not just part of the world, but the WHOLE world.

They fail to recognize that the "world" (Gk. kosmos) which the Bible has in mind is much more than that; that it encompasses ALL that is of this life and of this present world; everything: both the good and the bad, the beautiful and the ugly, the sweet and the bitter - i.e., all those goods, endowments, riches, advantages, pleasures, etc. which, though hollow and fleeting, stir our desires and make us feel "at home" and "comfortable" in (with) this life.

Moreover, the Bible's use of the word kosmos indicates that it has more than just the material world in view; that it's view of the "world" encompasses abstract things as well which have spiritual and moral value (e.g., I Cor 2:12, "the spirit of the world;" 3:19, "the wisdom of this world;" 7:31, "the fashion of this world;" Titus 2:12, "worldly lusts;" 2 Peter 1:14, "the corruption that is in the world;" 2:20, "the defilements of the world;" I John 2:16, 17, "all that is in the world, the lust ... the vainglory that passeth away;" etc.).

There are no exceptions - both the "good" and the bad," the "spiritual" and the "material" are included, and it is, therefore, futile for those who think that asceticism is a way out; a special means or path to holiness and purity, and that if they somehow or other avoid the material things of this life, they will escape the lusts thereof. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Asceticism is just another road to corruption - and a very uncomfortable one at that.

Why? Because when Adam sinned, he brought ALL the world - again, the "good" and the "bad," the "material" as well as the "abstract" - under the curse of sin. As a result, and regardless of the differing guises in which the world may from time to time present itself (and no matter how it tries to hide its real character), it is IMPLACABLY hostile to God. The Bible is very clear on this matter: I Corinthians 1:21 says that the world "knows not God" - and more than that, John 14:17 says that it is not even capable of receiving (i.e., competent or able to comprehend) "the Spirit of Christ." Indeed, John 15:18 says that the world "HATES" Christ. John puts it this way:

"If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him." (John 2:15)

And so at last we begin to understand the unbreachable chasm that separates the "Kingdom of God" from the "Kingdom of this World." There can be no truce between these two kingdoms; no possibility for a "negotiated settlement" (i.e., peace) between them, or - put another way - the "world" (on the one hand) and Christ (on the other hand). One is either "of Christ," or "of the world." There is no middle ground, no "moderate" position. (John 8:23)

Hence, Jesus says,

"My kingdom is not of this world" (John 18:36).

In other words, no one who has his "living" or "being" in the world can be made a "living" stone in Christ's building (i.e., His church). I repeat: the "Kingdom of God" has nothing to do with the "Kingdom of this World."

The Bible - in describing the people of God - says:

"For they look for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God" (Heb 11:10)

In this great passage of Scripture (Hebrews, chapter 11), Paul describes in unmistakable terms the attitude toward the world that all those who wish to serve God must have if they are to please Him; there's no ambiguity here; no equivocation; no avoidance; no attempt at evasion. Paul declares that all those who wish to serve God must consider the world as alien territory, and they themselves as only "sojourners" in it - people who are merely transiting through it on their way to another land - a heavenly country whose "builder and maker is God" (Heb. 11:10); and that while here on earth, there is a necessity laid upon them to continually remind themselves of their "alien status" by -

"... confessing (both in word and in the way they live) that they are strangers (foreigners) and pilgrims (travelers, wanderers, wayfarers) on the earth ..." (Heb. 11:13).

" confessing (both in word and in the way they live) that they are strangers (foreigners) and pilgrims (travelers, wanderers, wayfarers) on the earth ..." (Heb. 11:13).

The Bible says that they must not only accept this fact, they must "embrace" it; they must be "persuaded" (convinced) by it, and by doing so to demonstrate that they are actively -

"... seeking another country ... a better country, that is, an heavenly [one]." (Heb. 11:14) ... wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for He hath prepared for them [a heavenly] city." (Heb. 11:16)

And there is more: not only are we to consider ourselves as aliens to this world, but we are to consider ourselves as DEAD to the world. There is no way that the world can have any effect on a dead man. If you are dead to the world, you are safe from the world. No Christian can serve God and still be "alive" to this world: The "THINGS" of this world will always keep him back. We must be able to say with the Apostle Paul:

"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." (Galatians 2:20)

Real Christians are dead to the world

That's what BAPTISM is all about. When you chose to be baptized, you made a pledge that you would conduct your life as if you were DEAD to the world, but alive unto Christ.

The Bible says:

"Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his DEATH?

"Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

"For if we have been planted [buried] together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection." (Romans 6:3-5)

As a result, the Bible instructs us to -

"Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

"FOR YE ARE DEAD [to the world], and your life is hid with Christ in God.

"When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory." (Col. 3:2-4)

NOTE: Jesus said: "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." (John 3:5) The two [that is to say, baptism (being born of water) and being "born again" of the Spirit] are equated in the Scriptures. You can't have one without the other. If you are truly "born again" you will consider yourself DEAD to the world. If you are not DEAD to the world, then your salvation stands in jeopardy.

If we are truly dead to this world, then we can sing with all those precious Christians who have gone on before us:

"This world is not our home,
we're just a passing through,

"Our treasures are laid up
somewhere beyond the blue,

"The angels beckon us
from heaven's open door,

"And we can't feel at home
in this world anymore.

"Oh Lord you know,
we have no friend like you,

"If heaven's not our home,
then, Lord, what will we do,

"The angels beckon us
from heaven's open door,

"And we can't feel at home
in this world anymore.

"The angels beckon us from heaven's open door."

If, then, we truly are aliens to this world, as the Scriptures so plainly declare we are, what should we have to do with its politics? - Nothing, of course. Nonetheless, that's plainly NOT what people such as Jim Garlow and Lou Engle are saying with regard to the church's "battle with the gay and lesbian community;" that's not what millions and millions of Christians in the United States who have involved themselves in "taking back the country for Christ and the church" are saying.

Let's now pause and think about all this, particularly as it pertains to people such as Jim Garlow and Lou Engle - remembering all the while that what follows could have only occurred to a people who have given up on seeing themselves as subjects of Christ's heavenly kingdom, and have instead grown accustomed to thinking of themselves as citizens of this present world.

A very wise person once said,

"Satan's greatest ruse is to first create a problem, and then offer the solution. The problem created is the bait; the poison is in the solution."

"Satan's greatest ruse is to first create a problem, and then offer the solution. The problem created is the bait; the poison is in the solution."

In the case of people such as Garlow and Engle, the problem which Satan has created consists largely in what is perceived as a fundamental moral collapse of the society at large over the last three to four decades: specifically, the breakdown of the traditional family, the concomitant upsurge of single parent families, the growth of militant feminism, the perceived acceptance of homosexuality as an "alternate life-style," Congressional and judicial acquiescence to the insane concept of women in combat, the increase in crime of all sorts, the rise of sexual permissiveness, the acceptance of "abortion on demand" - the list seems endless. When all this is combined with the new multicultural chic and "political correctness" that is currently in vogue - a style of thinking which arrogantly and disdainfully denigrates the nation's older European-based, Christian civilization - it's enough to create a cultural firestorm, an enormous RAGE which has emotionally seized control of countless numbers of evangelicals and blinded them to their own eschatology (or doctrine of "end times"); THE KIND OF RAGE THAT GARLOW SAYS WILL CAUSE VOTERS WITH CONSERVATIVE VALUES TO -

"... RISE UP AND SAY ENOUGH IS ENOUGH." [Again, please see our article, "The Coming Bubba Revolution."]

The problem Satan has created seems compelling, persuasive, convincing; it demands action. The bait is set. The solution? - Evangelicals must "enter the lists" (or arena); they must involve themselves and their churches politically to "stop the madness." The trap is sprung!

The trap is sprung

Without realizing it, they have fallen victim to the same trap that German Christians fell victim to seventy years ago with regard to Hitler.

A German transvestite
from the 1920s

Germany's defeat during the First World War had led to the rise of a liberal-left, anti-Christian, anti-right parliamentary coalition which seemed to hold in contempt all the values of "Old Germany." Indeed, wherever German Christians looked in the 1920s and early '30s, they found little to comfort them: the cherished national values of hard work, self-discipline, and patriotism embodied in the conservative Lutheran and Catholic value systems of the "Old Reich" were being openly undermined and ridiculed. Pacifist and feminist novels which seemed to deride manhood - and men in general - abounded; on the stage, incest, pederasty or - at the very least - marital infidelity were glorified. Illustrated magazines featured nude dancers and international gangsters, frequently shown in company with each other; movies like the Blue Angel (Marlene Dietrich) and entertainers like Josephine Baker, who could be found cavorting naked on the stage in Berlin as often as she could be seen in Paris, corrupted the younger generation by glamorizing sadism and rape. Prostitutes and their pimps were the main heroes of the day. Indeed, it appeared as if only criminals, and the blasphemous were of any interest to modern culture. It seemed as though Berlin had taken over from Paris as the world capital of lasciviousness and obscenity.

American Equivalency [How Christians are perceived by the literati (liberals)]

A kind of left-wing, liberal excess - the Kabarett Kultur - dominated the media, a liberalism which glorified sexual and cultural indulgence and which consigned the values of "ORDINARY FOLK" - which the liberal intelligentsia claimed were either stupid or barbaric, "das platte, all zu platte Volk" - to the rubbish heap.

The literati were in command! - enemies of order, the profiteers of chaos! Like tubercular bacilli, they affected all the weak cells in the body politic. Rootless themselves, they bitterly attacked any manifestation of manly patriotism and healthy morality. They had no shame nor modesty, they were the apostles of sensationalism forever in search of new trends and fashions, however worthless.

German Christians regarded the left-wing intellects as a noxious and cancerous element - more dangerous than gangsters. Why? - Because ordinary criminals were merely engaged in offenses against property and persons, whereas the left-wing intelligentsia was helping to bring about the spiritual murder of an entire nation.

In assessing the moral and cultural decay which surrounded them, most German Christians had come to believe that this pathology of rot and decadence was by no means accidental - it was a concerted and centrally planned process - a deliberate conspiracy by socialists and left-wing, avant-guard radicals to undermine everything that was still healthy in Germany so that the country could never again recover and rise to greatness. Their stranglehold had to be broken to make a cultural recovery possible. But in attempting to set things right, in attempting to end the left's stranglehold on Germany, German Christians helped to create a nightmare which ultimately not only consumed them, but Germany and German Christianity as well. In the end, the solution was far, far worse than the problem which had at first seemed to necessitate it.

Above: Andor Weininger, one of his paintings, and other radicals of the era. Their artistic radicalism "turned off" countless numbers of German Christians. Most German Christians had come to believe that this pathology of rot and decadence was by no means accidental - it was a concerted and centrally planned process - a deliberate conspiracy by socialists and left-wing, avant-guard radicals to undermine everything that was still healthy in Germany so that the country could never again recover and rise to greatness.

Today, it is commonly believed in evangelical circles in America that Hitler was a "New Age" theosophist and that the reason German Christians had been seduced by him is because they had earlier abandoned the "fundamentals" of their faith - largely as a result of the "Higher Criticism of the Bible" which was then in vogue throughout fashionable and intellectual sections of German society. But that simply is not true! The so-called "Higher Criticism" had no more taken hold on the great majority of German Christians than it had on the great mass of American Christians. Average German Christians - as opposed to some church intellectuals - had remained as "fundamental" in their faith as they had ever been - and Hitler, while he may indeed have been a theosophist in his "inner most being" - and shown himself as such to his inner circle of friends and associates - was extremely careful to present himself as a traditional "Christian conservative" to the German people (see Adolf Hitler, Hitler's Secret Conversations 1941-1944 and Ernst Hanfstaengl, Hitler: The Missing Years).

The fact of the matter is, the public persona that Hitler constantly cultivated was that of a "Christian Savior" commissioned by God to save the nation from the liberal rot that had overtaken it. Indeed, Hitler - in his first radio address to the German people after coming to power - announced,

"The national government ... will maintain and defend the foundations on which the power of our nation rests. It will offer strong protection to Christianity as the very basis of our collective morality."

Hardly the words of an outspoken theosophist!

Hitler praying

Two weeks later, on February 16, 1933, Hitler went even further in affirming his devotion to Christianity. In a speech at Stuttgart, Hitler asserted,

"Today Christians ... stand at the head of Germany ... I pledge that I never will tie myself to parties who want to destroy Christianity ... We want to fill our culture again with the Christian spirit ... We want to burn out all the recent immoral developments in literature, in the theater, and in the press - in short, we want to burn out the poison of immorality which has entered into our whole life and culture as a result of liberal excess during the past ... [few] years."

Thus, while it may be true that - despite the rhetoric and the persona - Hitler was no Christian, and that evangelicals may be correct in pointing this fact out, evangelicals are still wrong - very wrong - in believing that German Christians themselves were anything but sincere and "fundamental" in their faith - and the fact is, they are being very self-serving in assuming otherwise. Why? - because it obscures the real reason German Christians were seduced by Hitler - why they didn't really investigate what actually lay beneath Hitler's public persona; after all, it wouldn't have been difficult to do. The evidence - despite Hitler's effort to hide it - was easy to find. The obvious reason is, they didn't want to!

They wanted to believe Hitler! - and anything which got in the way was swept aside! Their perceived need to be rescued from a liberalism which they believed had run amuck had so blinded them that they purposefully ignored any evidence which suggested that Hitler might be something else than what he had presented himself as - and they denounced all those who attempted to uncover the real truth as "unchristian" and "unpatriotic!"

William Thackeray once said:

"The wicked are wicked no doubt, and they go astray and they fall and they come to their own deserts; but who can tell the mischief the virtuous do."

Who can tell the mischief the virtuous do.

In our 2008 article, "The Left Is in Danger of Creating a Monster," we spoke of the danger the Left is creating for itself: that the left -- taking advantage of their win with Obama and calling it a "mandate for radical social change" (when it is in fact no such thing) -- would push the Right into a corner and enrage it to such an extent that it would emerge as a BRUTAL MONSTER capable of devouring its tormentors in a fit of towering anger; an anger that cannot be contained by the restraints of "political correctness" or even the law.

Interestingly, this is what happened when the Right pushed too hard against the gay and lesbian community in the late 1960s and early 1970s - provoking the development of an extremely radical faction of this community that was willing to take action "in the streets" against their tormentors.

Much of the success of the present gay and lesbian movement resulted from the militancy that developed out of a riot at the Stonewall Inn in New York's Greenwich Village in 1969. The Stonewall Inn was one of New York's first gay bars. It had no liquor license and no running water behind the bar; used glasses were run through tubs of water and immediately reused. There were no fire exits, and the toilets overran constantly. It was the only bar for gay men in New York City where dancing was allowed.

Stonewall Inn
in NYC

NOTE: The bar was owned by "straights" who on the one hand condemned the "immorality" of the gay and lesbian community, but who on the other hand were more than willing to take money from them, even if it meant "promoting their lifestyles."

Police raids on Stonewall were common, and the time period immediately before June 28, 1969 was marked by frequent police raids. At 1:20 in the morning of Saturday, June 28, 1969, four plainclothes policemen in dark suits (members of the "vice squad"), two patrol officers in uniform, and two detectives arrived at the Stonewall Inn's double doors and announced "Police! We're taking the place!" Once inside, they called for backup from the Sixth Precinct using the bar's pay telephone. The music was turned off and the main lights were turned on. Approximately 200 people were in the bar that night. Patrons who had never experienced a police raid before were confused, but a few who realized what was happening began to run for doors and windows in the bathrooms. Police barred the doors, and confusion spread. Michael Fader, a gay journalist, remembered,

"Things happened so fast you kind of got caught not knowing. All of a sudden there were police there and we were told to all get in lines and to have our identification ready to be led out of the bar."

When the first patrol wagon arrived, the crowd - most of whom were gay - had grown to at least ten times the number of people who were arrested, and they all became very quiet. Confusion over radio communication delayed the arrival of a second wagon. A bystander shouted, "Gay power!" Someone began singing "We Shall Overcome," and the crowd reacted with "growing hostility." An officer shoved a transvestite, who responded by hitting him on the head with her purse as the crowd began to boo. Author Edmund White, who had been passing by, recalled,

"Everyone's restless, angry and high-spirited. No one has a slogan, no one even has an attitude, but something's brewing."

The commotion attracted more people who learned what was happening. Someone in the crowd declared that the bar had been raided because "they didn't pay off the cops" (which was true), to which someone else yelled "Let's pay them off!" Coins sailed through the air towards the police as the crowd shouted "Pigs!" and "Faggot cops!"

Beer cans were thrown as a rumor spread through the crowd that patrons still inside the bar were being beaten. A scuffle broke out when a woman in handcuffs was escorted from the door of the bar to the waiting police wagon. Bystanders recalled that the woman sparked the crowd to fight when she looked at bystanders and shouted, "Why don't you guys do something?" After an officer picked her up and heaved her into the back of the wagon, the crowd became a mob and went "berserk." "It was at that moment that the scene became explosive."

Multiple accounts of the riot assert that there was no pre-existing organization or apparent cause for the demonstration; what ensued was spontaneous. Gay journalist Michael Fader explained:

"We all had a collective feeling like we'd had enough of this kind of shit. It wasn't anything tangible anybody said to anyone else, it was just kind of like everything over the years had come to a head on that one particular night in that one particular place, and it was not an organized demonstration ... Everyone in the crowd felt that we were never going to go back. It was like the last straw. It was time to reclaim something that had always been taken from us ... All kinds of people, all different reasons, but mostly it was total outrage, anger, sorrow, everything combined, and everything just kind of ran its course. It was like standing your ground for the first time and in a really strong way, and that's what caught the police by surprise. There was something in the air ... and we're going to fight for it."

A swirling vortex of HATE

"[W]e'd had enough of this kind of shit" - that's what Fader said; "It was the last straw;" "There was something in the air ... and we're going to fight for it." BUT IN SAYING THIS, FADER AND OTHERS LIKE HIM ARE FORGETTING THAT WHAT WAS TRUE FOR THE GAY AND LESBIAN COMMUNITY BACK IN 1969 IS TRUE TODAY AS THE LEFT PUSHES FOR SOCIAL AND CULTURAL CHANGES THAT ARE ANATHEMA TO THE RELIGIOUS RIGHT.

This push by the Left against the Right is, as we indicated earlier, bound to drive Mormons, Christian Evangelicals, and Catholics into an even tighter alliance than the one that has developed so far, AN ALLIANCE CAPABLE OF DEVELOPING A MASSIVE VORTEX THAT WILL SUCK INTO IT GREATER AND GREATER NUMBERS OF WHITE AMERICANS THAT AT ONE TIME WERE NOT DISPOSED TO THINK OF THEMSELVES ALONG RACIAL AND / OR RELIGIOUS LINES. And the tip of the spear that the Religious Right is readying to hurl back at the Left are the re-emerging civilian militias and the new mercenary armies the Right developed during the Bush II regime - militias and mercenary armies that are motivated by the ghosts and demons that swirl around the CNP and the Richard and Helen DeVos Foundation. [Again, please see our 2008 article, "The Left Is in Danger of Creating a Monster."]

"The wicked are wicked no doubt, and they go astray and they fall and they come to their own deserts; but who can tell the mischief the (so-called) virtuous do."

LOOKING "GOOD" & "PROSPEROUS:" THAT'S THE TESTIMONY OF THESE PEOPLE; that's what they think it's all about! and forget the words of the Apostle Paul when he admonished his disciples, "For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble are called, but God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; and base [poor] things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen ..." (1 Cor. 1:26-28)

And then there are the words of the Apostle James: "Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?" (James 2:5-6)

"Christians don't steal or lie, they don't get divorced or have abortions." Oh really? That's patently untrue. Take, for example, John Hagee, pastor of the huge Cornerstone Church in San Antonio: Hagee was the leader of the charismatic Trinity Church in 1975 and the father of two children when he had an adulterous affair with a younger woman. He then divorced the mother of his two children and married the woman (Diana Castro, now Diana Hagee) - a "sister" from that same congregation. AND NOW HAGEE FEELS HE CAN IGNORE HIS OWN SIN AND CONDEMN HOMOSEXUALS? What about John 8:7? - Has he excised this verse from the Bible?

In a "Special Message" from Pastor Jim Garlow and Chuck Colson to American Christians, the "faithful" are now being called to prepare themselves for a great crusade against the "homosexual agenda;" the message reads in part:

"Friends, we as a nation will now determine which way the door will swing. We face unprecedented challenges to three foundational principles of justice and the common good:

  • The sanctity of human life in all stages and conditions,

  • The sacredness of marriage as the covenantal union of husband and wife,

  • The right to religious liberty and respect for conscience.

"These principles are moral treasures of our civilization. They have played indispensable roles in preserving the great experiment in republican government and ordered liberty bequeathed to us by the Founders of our Nation.

"Yet in our time they have come under severe assault. Abortion, embryo-destructive research, assisted suicide, and euthanasia threaten the sanctity of life. Marriage, already deeply wounded by a culture of infidelity and divorce is now at risk of being redefined and deconstructed.

"The right of conscientious refusal to participate or be implicated in immoral actions, be they crimes against life or marriage, is increasingly placed in jeopardy. For these reasons, we call on all faithful Christians to join us in the fight to defend life, protect and revitalize marriage, and preserve religious liberty and the rights of conscience.

"We must work tirelessly in all the "seven spheres of cultural influence:"

  1. the home,

  2. the church,

  3. civil government / law / military,

  4. business / technology,

  5. education,

  6. media, and finally

  7. arts / entertainment / professional sports.

The "Seven Cultural Spheres" over which - according to Jim Garlow, Chuck Colson and Lou Engle - Christians have been called to take DOMINION.

"The foundational moral principles of life, marriage, and conscience need to be preached in our churches, affirmed in our daily conversations, and demonstrated in our private decisions and our personal lives. They must become a guiding force in every local, state and national election - year after year - including this year's election. In fact, they need to be supported in everything we do and say, and in the way we live."

Naturally enough, the question to be asked in all of this is, how can one justify this kind of activity in light of Christ's admonition,

"My kingdom IS NOT OF THIS WORLD: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight ... but ... my kingdom [is] not from hence." (John 18:36)

Trying to fight the misdirection and even heresy in today's evangelical church while remaining a part of it will most likely prove an impossible task for anyone who tries. It isn't that there are not countless numbers of godly men and women who are part of this church and who fervently love the Lord and who are honestly seeking to do His will; it's just that they are a part of an institution that is, unfortunately, going in the wrong direction, and there is nothing they can do - other than tampering with odds and ends on the periphery - to change that. It's like someone who is walking west towards New York on a ship which is sailing east towards London and who thinks that by doing so he can with much effort at last reach New York. It's impossible!

And just how are Christians supposed to ultimately deal with the "homosexual community?" - Engle gave an answer to a small, intimate group of his followers recently in Kansas City whom he calls "Yahweh Separatists:"

"The Yahweh separatist prophets gotta kill those guys!"

NOTE: And unless one should think that Engle is not representative of a large portion of the evangelical community, one should take note of the fact that Engle is publicly endorsed by such evangelical "heavy-hitters" as James Dobson of Focus on the Family and Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council.

After making this statement, Engle asked anxiously,

"Are we taping?"

Are we taping? - The answer was "YES;" - Reporter Evan Hurst was!

No doubt, this is the kind of "eliminationist rhetoric" that, when it goes into the ears of certain kinds of crazies, can be deadly. Engle went on to say:

"Our president [i.e., Obama] two days ago came out and said 'We bless the fathers of families that have two fathers'! This is a decree, a blessing, called this month, LGBT [Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender] pride month. When decrees come from high places, it actually opens doors! It is a key! It unlocks the spiritual realm for the fueling of the demonization of culture!"

NOTE: This statement is important, because - according to Engle and his ilk - demons should be killed. This is the same kind of hateful language used by protestant missionaries when they excused their followers for butchering villagers sympathetic to Daniel Ortega's Nicaraguan government during the "Contra Wars" in the 1980s:

"They don't massacre people ... They massacre demons, and these people are demon possessed: they're communists ..." [Please see our article, "The Death Squads: Bringing in the Kingdom of God through Terror, Torture and Death."]

"We don't massacre people, we massacre demons"

Again, Engle anxiously asked his audience,

"Is this being taped?"

A voice from a bouncer/heavy off to the side interjected,

"We can erase it."

Engle then went on to say:

"Saint means HOLY WARRIOR. Holy war! I like that!"

NOTE: THE WORD "SAINT" DOES NOT MEAN "HOLY WARRIOR." In the New Testament all believers are saints and are addressed as such. This is so since every believer is born again by the power of God and is washed in the blood of Jesus. This precious blood thus cleanses them of sin and they are thus designated as saints, although not perfect. In the light of this believers are repeatedly addressed as saints in the New Testament. This is the true and biblical meaning of the word.

And the extent of Engle's murderous rage against gays and lesbians can be judged by his endorsement of Uganda's call for the EXTERMINATION of ALL homosexuals in that country. He later denied (LIED) making this statement, but reporter Waymon Hudson taped him doing so; Hudson writes:

"He [Engle] called upon the government of Uganda to be firm and hold on its righteous stand against the evil. He mentioned that homosexuals have penetrated the educational system and Ugandans must be aware of the evil."

Engle goes on to say:

"I believe we're headed to an Elijah/Jezebel showdown on the Earth, not just in America but all over the globe, and the main warriors will be the prophets of Baal versus the prophets of God, and there will be no middle ground."

"There's an Elijah generation that's going to be the forerunners for the coming of Jesus, a generation marked not by their niceness but by the intensity of their passion,"

Where this concept is headed - the Hitler Youth

NOTE: The reference here is to the belief by the New Charismatics in the concept of a coming "Joel's Army" that will "cleanse the earth before Christ's return. Jewel van der Merwe of Discernment Magazine, elaborates; she writes that the "New Charismatics" are actively pushing a belief system which prophesies that " ... (1) the greatest revival the church has ever known (is about to occur); (2) the greatest baptism of the Spirit the Church has ever experienced (will shortly happen); (3) the greatest army (Joel's Army) distinguished by invincibility, immortality and divinity (will be raised up); (4) the greatest purging ... in the history of the church (will shortly begin); (5) the greatest ministry - the Prize of all Ages (is about to break forth); and (6) the greatest miracles, supernatural signs and wonders far exceeding that of the Apostles and Prophets of old (will shortly take place)."

Joel's Army followers, many of them teenagers and young adults who believe they're members of the final generation to come of age before the end of the world, are joining in this crusade. Numbering in the tens of thousands, they base their beliefs on an esoteric reading of the second chapter of the Old Testament Book of Joel, in which an avenging swarm of locusts attacks Israel. In their view, the locusts are a metaphor for Joel's Army.

This concept, however, is at total variance with what the Bible says will occur in the "end of days:"

  • The world is plunged into a time of spiritual and political crisis.

  • The church is apostatized.

  • The apostatized church unites with the anti-Christ and seizes control of the world.

  • A great tribulation breaks out against those Christians who refuse to become a part of the apostatized church, resulting in their persecution and finally their destruction - after which the anti-Christ, who had at first appeared as the champion of Israel, turns on Israel to destroy her.

  • The rapture occurs for those Christians who "remain," and Christ returns to bring judgment on those who had destroyed Israel and persecuted those Christians who had refused to be apostatized.

Commenting on the militancy of Engle's polemics, the People for the American Way reported that no one in Engle's immediate circle has as yet been involved in violent activity against gays, but the organization went on to warn -

"... that actual bloodletting may only be a matter of time for a movement that casts itself as God's avenging army."

Interestingly, three weeks after Engle gave one of his rants in Kansas City, Dr. George Tiller, a late-term abortion provider was shot through the eye and killed, on a Sunday in the lobby of his Wichita, KS church. WORDS DO HAVE CONSEQUENCES!

It is absolutely amazing that any sane person - especially a Christian - could have anything to do with someone who advocates the kind of violence that Engle advocates. Nonetheless, US GOP Senators Sam Brownback and Jim DeMint, and Republican Congressional Representatives Michelle Bachmann and Randy Forbes count Engle as a friend and openly solicit his prayers for their endeavors to bring the country "back to Christ and the church."

Brownback, DeMint, Bachmann and Forbes

And not only Brownback, DeMint, Bachmann and Forbes, but also presumptive Republican presidential candidates Mike Huckabee and Newt Gingrich who attended a revival at the huge Rock Church in Virginia Beach presided over by Engle.

Mike Huckabee and Newt Gingrich

And if one needs any further proof of Engle's credentials in the American evangelical church, one needs only to note the fact that Engle is tightly associated with both Peter Wagner and Rick Warren. Wagner a former teacher at Fuller Theological Seminary and is now the "Presiding Apostle" of the NEW APOSTOLIC REFORMATION, a world-wide organization with thousands and thousands of churches under it, and Rick Warren is the head of America's largest church,

C. Peter Wagner and the New Apostolic Reformation

Moreover, it should be noted that Lou Engle is one C. Peter Wagner's "prophetic elders" who, along with Sarah Palin's prayer group leader Mary Glazier, sits on Wagner's prestigious Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders, which issues group prophecy and is one of the key leadership groups in Wagner's New Apostolic Reformation. [Please see our articles, "The Invasion of Europe by America's Apostate Church" and "Today's Church: Making Zombies out of Christians."]

Ruth (Mary) Glazier and Sarah Palin sit on Wagner's prestigious Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders along with Lou Engle, which issues group prophecy and is one of the key leadership groups in Wagner's New Apostolic Reformation. [Please see our article, "Crossing the Rubicon."]

Under considerable public pressure, Rick Warren issued a statement in December 2009 calling on Uganda's pastors to condemn the Anti Homosexuality Bill championed by Engle which is now before Uganda's Parliament; but statements made under such pressure count for little.

Most Christians today "poo-poo" the idea that Christians - should they gain power in the United States as the result of the Culture War that is now raging in the country - would ever countenance the killing of homosexuals; but that's what most Germans said before Hitler came to power in 1933.

Words are the necessary precursors to action; and if that is so, Christians in the United States are very close to being "morphed" into MONSTERS, just as the German people were in 1933.
